In the heart of Manchester’s thriving city centre, the beauty and grace of the grade II listed Midland hotel will add an elegant touch of glamour and individuality to your special day.  Oozing style throughout, one of the hardest decisions will be deciding on which spectacular backdrop to choose for your photographs.  Our hotel is steeped in history, and you too could become part of that.  An air of romance sweeps through the hotel, if Becks could woo Posh here look what we could do for you!

At The Midland we provide the perfect setting for your special day, from large celebrations up to 450 people, to small intimate gatherings, civil ceremonies and civil partnerships to working alongside specialist caterers.  We have 11 stunning suites to choose from depending on your needs and all our rooms are licensed for civil ceremonies. Our Wedding Co-ordinators will live and breathe your wedding with you, no matter how high your expectations we will exceed them.  Our eye for detail, professionalism and years of experience will ensure that this is the most memorable day for you and your guests.

Our Big Day

Hi Nina Sorry it's taken some time, but we're on our Honeymoon road trip and currently in the Isle of Wight. We had a great day, everything went to plan and just as we wanted it to be (even the weather!). All the staff at the hotel were great and really looked after us and our guests. Special thanks should go to you for the planning with us in advance and Jamie, Chloe and Antonia on the day. We will be recommending the Midland as a wedding venue should we be asked! Nina was the most fantastic wedding co ordinator. Nothing was too much trouble, she was flexible and accommodated our ideas to make our wedding the best it could be. She kept in touch regularly through emails and phone calls. All the details of our event were clearly communicated to the staff who were there on the day and no detail was left out making it a special day. Ellie was fantastic. she made us feel at ease and adjusted timings. She made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. Thomas was really helpful the evening before the wedding when we were setting up the chairs. He took a note of all the little details so everything would be set up how we wanted. All the staff exceeded our expectations and we are so thankful they made our day go as smoothly as it could have gone. Thank you!

Hi Nina, I wanted to get a big, massive thank you in before we go away on our honeymoon. You did an amazing job helping us organise what turned out to be the most fantastic day! Everything turned out perfectly. But also wanted to say how impressed we were with every single member of staff we came into contact with. From the waitresses who served us in the Octagon on the Friday night to the late night staff dealing with us at 3:30am this morning :-) They were all so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They all contributed to making our wedding day extra special. So please pass on our thanks. We had the best day! Thank you Nina

Hello Nina, Wow what a weekend! From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were looked after. Concierge were amazing moving luggage, helping with the air con, even hanging my dress for me! Especially Sev, Paul, David. Phil & I thank you for popping in on us both Saturday morning, nerves were at an all time high !! You're genuine excitement for us was touching & throughout the whole process from original show around you have been amazing. You're friendly, knowledgeable, professional & instil a great deal of confidence in a couple who have never done this before because you exude confidence in your ability & that of the hotel to organise the event. Ellie, our master of ceremonies, our little pocket rocket as Phil referred to her was equally as amazing! Phil met Ellie a lot earlier than me obviously & he has said she was unflappable, so professional & nothing was too much effort. Ellie kept everything running really smooth, looked after us & our guests perfectly! The waiting staff in the Stanley were astounding - extremely polite, professional & hardworking. The food was outstanding, some saying the best meal they've ever had. Glasses were refilled before guests realised, which all adds to wonderful experience. To have glasses of champagne handed to me throughout the evening was a lovely touch by the hotel showing just how much they look after the Bride and Groom We didn't want to leave & felt like The Midland was 'home', from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to EVERY SINGLE PERSON involved in our wedding, you all have a place in our memories of the most important day of our lives. Rolls Royce

Hi Nina We had a perfect day the staff were fantastic and everyone who attended said the venue was lovely and the food was fantastic. We also had the bonus of being allowed to have our photos with the Rolls Royce cars which were there to celebrate the 110 anniversary of the meeting at the Midland. We also met a kind Dutch man who let us have a photo in the car which the current king and queen of Holland got married in! Dear Nina, Thank you for your email. We had the most AMAZING DAY ! It was the happiest day of our lives and everything was superb from start to finish. The rooms looked absolutely amazing, the staff were all brilliant - especially Jamie and Antonia, as nothing was too much trouble. The whole operation went smoothly and Simon and I were made to feel like a king and queen. The food was fantastic, so please pass on our compliments to the kitchen staff. This all started back in October when my now wife (Dawn) and I sat in the Octagon bar mulling over a wedding venue. Every member of staff that served us that day was utterly polite and helpful - we loved the building and we decided we wanted to be married there. Nina was a delight to work with from the start. Not only was she helpful with the practical elements of our day, she showed a genuine interest in what we wanted to do and covered off all the small details that are so easy to forget. The whole planning process with Nina has been stress free and really easy..... Yes, organising a wedding can be really easy. Every member of staff that worked the Saturday was amazing. Liam took control from the start. Liam made Dawn feel at ease instantly and ensured our wedding ceremony was flawless. Our wedding breakfast was impeccable - Antonia looked after us, paid us attention and ensured we had everything we needed. So many guests have said how beautiful that meal was which is a real credit to your chefs and kitchen staff. Our evening event went without a hitch. Yet again your staff provided a first class service and couldn't do enough for ours guests. The Stanley suite is a fabulous venue for a party.... Each and every one went above and beyond to make our day what it was. You have a beautiful building in a beautiful location but it would be nothing without the people in it. Nina, Liam, Jamie, Antonia, Colin & everyone else, thank you.... Thank you very much for everything. Oh and we'll be back in Octagon bar raising a glass sometime very soon.

The midland hotel had everything we needed staff were absolutely fantastic! The food was prefect nothing was too much trouble they had everything covered right down to the smallest detail. we had the entire day there it was prefect!SD
