The Midland Hotel won “Best Wedding Venue – Central Manchester” at the inaugural Eat Drink Sleep Awards on 10th March 2015 which celebrated the cream of Manchester’s food, drink and hospitality industries. More than 63,000 votes were cast by the public across 34 different categories honouring everything from Best Pub to Best Wedding Venue. As well as “Best Wedding Venue – Central Manchester” The Midland’s award winning restaurant Mr Cooper’s House & Garden took two dining gongs.

Hi Nina, We are back from our break so thought I'd send the email over for everyone to hear how fantastic they were on the day. First of all I would like to thank yourself, from day one I didn't feel pushed into any descions & definitely felt that the service we would get would always go that extra mile, which you certainly did, what ever changes we threw your way. It made the whole planning process very easy. I never felt I had to chase yourself for anything you were always one step ahead of me. On the day both Liam & Daisy where fantastic. Everything was very organised & I knew exactly what was happening. They were both really friendly & professional & both me and Phil enjoyed chatting with them about F1. They also made sure we had a few moments to ourselves throughout the day. And again they just rolled with any last minute changes. Liam also remembered us the next day while collecting a few bits from the room and even though he was clearly busy greeted us warmly. All the bar staff were fantastic, all of our guest commented on this as well. Getting a glass of prosseco at the end of the evening was a nice touch. All in all everyone at the midland were lovely, from reception and concierge to the staff in the restaurant. Everyone is very aware of who is around them and remembers them well for such a big hotel. Unfortunately I'm unable to remember all of the names but certainly do not mean to miss anyone out. Thank you so much for everything! The now Mr and Mrs Maguire ?

The big day went off with a bang and the venue was absolutely stunning - we couldn't have picked a better place to get married. Dear Nina, I wanted to let you know how delighted we were with the wedding arrangements. We could not have asked for better service and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, from the team who set up everything for us on Friday (Vanessa) to Cleo and the catering team on Saturday. The day ran like clockwork and our guests were full of compliments about the service and food. The meal was delicious and please pass our thanks to the chef and team. The beef was cooked to perfection and the fish cake was a winner!! Evening buffet also perfect. The Midland is certainly a wonderful venue and I am happy to give a recommendation. Thank you for everything, the whole day was perfect and every member off the staff at the midland were perfect especially Vanessa! Hi Nina We had a great day & everything came together perfectly. It was a really enjoyable & memorable day for us & the Midland played a big part in that Nina and I (Mark) enjoyed a very good relationship throughout the period leading from booking to the actual day. I appreciated her taking the time to meet me & speak to me over the phone regularly so we could iron out details to ensure the wedding was exactly how we wanted it. Danielle was great on the day – very accommodating & helped everything go smoothly. The band were very appreciative of the help received in ensuring they could do a quick changeover A big thanks to Keith from Mr Cooper’s for his help on advising & preparing the cocktails. A lot of our guests have commented on how much they enjoyed them & that it was a really nice feature of the wedding. The bar staff in the evening were fantastic, kept us updated with progress on the bar tab & ensured that whatever drinks we wanted were replenished whenever they ran out (quite regularly – everyone had a great time!) All of the staff throughout the Midland were fantastic and a big thank you to all from the concierge to the maids The Stanley Suite was a spectacular room. We’re really glad that we chose it and having everything in the same room made for a really fun evening reception. A lot of guests commented on how impressed they were with the food in the wedding breakfast. Lots of good feedback on how well the lamb in particular was cooked The buffet was great. Hi Nina, Just to say what an absolutely amazing wedding we had. The Midland and all of its staff were exceptional from start to finish, with particular thanks to Cleo who was fab! The food, drinks etc… were outstanding and the hotel were more than accommodating with our guests including two fusspots who didn’t like fish and were immediately offered an alternative starter. It truly was the best day of our lives and that was really helped by all the staff at the Midland. A last and massive thank you to yourself of course. You have been more than patient with me which enabled me to have the best day as I was so confident that you had it all in hand. Also a thank you from me for making the suite look so pretty when I walked in my dress hanging up, all the slippers out it really was a special touch. You really did put both mine and Sams mind at ease at our last appointment with you and we could not of asked for a better person to have dealt with us. Thanks again, Kayley Van Gelder J xxx

Dear Nina, Firstly both Denise & I want to thank you for being such an amazing person. We are so lucky to have had you to coordinate our special day, you are friendly & smiley, you have incredible ideas & every time we have asked you for things, you delivered them with so much grace & kindness. Your entire Midland staff & team were incredible. Right from the concierge to the waiting staff to the bar staff to the managers and the head chef as well as all the chefs working to make the gourmet food work logistically for a 200+ guest list. The Midland Hotel has a very very warm place in our hearts & we will forever see it as almost a home to us. It is such a special venue & such a beautiful place. We will always come back to visit & to use for future events. Without you Nina, this wedding would not have become what Denise & I envisioned. Spectacular it was, & the world needs to see exactly how spectacular every single aspect was. Please carry on being the exceptional coordinator that you are. We honestly feel although we are clients, we have grown to be close friends with you. We really wanted you to come & celebrate with us in the evening & that is the only issue I had, which is that you were not available to put your feet up & enjoy the night of our wedding.
