The Midland Hotel won “Best Wedding Venue – Central Manchester” at the inaugural Eat Drink Sleep Awards on 10th March 2015 which celebrated the cream of Manchester’s food, drink and hospitality industries. More than 63,000 votes were cast by the public across 34 different categories honouring everything from Best Pub to Best Wedding Venue. As well as “Best Wedding Venue – Central Manchester” The Midland’s award-winning restaurant Mr Cooper’s House & Garden took two dining gongs.

Hi Nina, Our day was simply perfect! More than we could ever have imagined it would be, from start to finish. The day ran so smoothly but it flew by. We wanted to do it all over again. Christy and the team looked after us superbly on the day, Everything was spot on, the food, the service, the waiting staff we polite and attentive. I'm so pleased we decided to have the chair covers in the Stanley. It looked stunning. Everyone commented. Hi Nina Me and Arthur would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your help and support. You have been truly amazing and nothing was ever too much for you. You are amazing and what you do and such a lovely person to. Thank you so much. Also, special thanks to Joe Mossford for organising for us to have our pictures on the roof. What a privilege. Christy, our master of ceremonies, she was absolutely amazing. From the moment we stepped out of the car until the end of the night she was there talking us through what was happening, seeing if we needed anything, making sure we were happy with everything and we always had a drink in our hand hehe. She is fantastic. What a great girl. She will go far. Special thanks to Michael behind the bar for looking after us all and keeping us topped up. We were well looked after. Also, Thomas who took us up to the roof for pictures. He was such a lovely lad and made us feel at ease. He was very accommodating. All the staff at The Midland were superb. Hi Nina, We are back from our break so thought I'd send the email over for everyone to hear how fantastic they were on the day. First of all I would like to thank yourself, from day one I didn't feel pushed into any descions & definitely felt that the service we would get would always go that extra mile, which you certainly did, what ever changes we threw your way. It made the whole planning process very easy. I never felt I had to chase yourself for anything you were always one step ahead of me. On the day both Liam & Daisy where fantastic. Everything was very organised & I knew exactly what was happening. They were both really friendly & professional & both me and Phil enjoyed chatting with them about F1. They also made sure we had a few moments to ourselves throughout the day. And again they just rolled with any last minute changes. Liam also remembered us the next day while collecting a few bits from the room and even though he was clearly busy greeted us warmly. All the bar staff were fantastic, all of our guest commented on this as well. Getting a glass of prosseco at the end of the evening was a nice touch. All in all everyone at the midland were lovely, from reception and concierge to the staff in the restaurant. Everyone is very aware of who is around them and remembers them well for such a big hotel. Unfortunately I'm unable to remember all of the names but certainly do not mean to miss anyone out. Thank you so much for everything! The now Mr and Mrs Maguire ?

Dear Nina, I wanted to let you know how delighted we were with the wedding arrangements. We could not have asked for better service and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, from the team who set up everything for us on Friday (Vanessa) to Cleo and the catering team on Saturday. The day ran like clockwork and our guests were full of compliments about the service and food. The meal was delicious and please pass our thanks to the chef and team. The beef was cooked to perfection and the fish cake was a winner!! Evening buffet also perfect. The Midland is certainly a wonderful venue and I am happy to give a recommendation.
