The Midland Hotel won “Best Wedding Venue – Central Manchester” at the inaugural Eat Drink Sleep Awards on 10th March 2015 which celebrated the cream of Manchester’s food, drink and hospitality industries. More than 63,000 votes were cast by the public across 34 different categories honouring everything from Best Pub to Best Wedding Venue. As well as “Best Wedding Venue – Central Manchester” The Midland’s award winning restaurant Mr Cooper’s House & Garden took two dining gongs.

Venue 'A very big warm thank you'

Dear Nina, Firstly both Denise & I want to thank you for being such an amazing person. We are so lucky to have had you to coordinate our special day, you are friendly & smiley, you have incredible ideas & every time we have asked you for things, you delivered them with so much grace & kindness. Your entire Midland staff & team were incredible. Right from the concierge to the waiting staff to the bar staff to the managers and the head chef as well as all the chefs working to make the gourmet food work logistically for a 200+ guest list. The Midland Hotel has a very very warm place in our hearts & we will forever see it as almost a home to us. It is such a special venue & such a beautiful place. We will always come back to visit & to use for future events. Without you Nina, this wedding would not have become what Denise & I envisioned. Spectacular it was, & the world needs to see exactly how spectacular every single aspect was. Please carry on being the exceptional coordinator that you are. We honestly feel although we are clients, we have grown to be close friends with you. We really wanted you to come & celebrate with us in the evening & that is the only issue I had, which is that you were not available to put your feet up & enjoy the night of our wedding. Hi Nina We had an absolutely fabulous time, everything was perfect. Please say a big thank you to Nirvana and the team who looked after us in the day and made us feel really special. They really were brilliant. Also, Danielle and her team really looked after us in the evening. We couldn't fault anything, everyone was so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They anticipated our every requirement! We couldn't have chosen a better venue. All our guests commented on how lovely the hotel is and how great the staff are. We'd recommend it to anyone. To Nina Just to say how amazing each & every one of you were, not only in looking after myself & my husband but extending the same care & attention to each of our guests. Across the board every guest said how amazing the hotel & staff were from front desk, waiters, bar staff everyone we saw and those behind the scenes. The food was absolutely amazing. A big thank you to Nina & all the event staff. Nina went above & beyond to cater for our requests & for creating the best day of our lives. Hi Nina, Thank you very much, we are very happy to be Mr and Mrs! The wedding went brilliantly! Everything was fantastic, the staff looked after us the whole time, making sure we were happy with everything! Maria and Vanessa were great, the food was delicious, the flower arrangements for the ceremony and the reception were spot on, Dave was absolutely great as well! There were personal touches in our room, the suite itself was fabulous! All the guests had fantastic time, could have not asked for more! Our expectations were truely exceeded! All our guests were very impressed with the staff and the quality of care we received the entire day. The food was absolutely wonderful and we particularly loved the pancakes!! We looked round many venues for our daughter Charlotte's wedding-we wanted it to feel very special and luxurious but we wanted people to feel relaxed and enjoy the day with us. The Midland totally delivered for us in every way from the day before when the concierges were so helpful moving dresses, cake and accessories in,throughout the actual wedding then to the day after as we gathered up to leave . Everyone from bar staff concierges,waiting staff ,cleaners and managers could not have been more helpful . It went so smoothly and professionally -many people complimented us on the food and relaxed atmosphere.The sofas in the lounge area attached to function room were superb bonus for those danced out. Above all things we are grateful for making it the happiest day of Rick and Charlotte's life. with many thanks Christine Fielding -mother of the bride

Dear Nina Both Peter & I would like to thank you & your team so much from the bottom of our hearts for all your support in helping us organise our 20th anniversary vow renewal on 16th May 2015. We had wonderful time & all our guest thoroughly enjoyed themselves too. All the staff at the Midland made us welcome & nothing seemed too much trouble, from concierge, to the trainee chambermaid, to the chap from maintenance who came to fix the blown fuse in the lights and who ended up fixing Peters waistcoat as I couldn't do it with my nails! And the waiters & waitresses in The French who were lovely with us too. Maria & her Team of professionals who made the day run like clockwork; everything was delivered with such precision that a lot of our guests commented on how amazed they were at their professionalism & how everything flowed perfectly. However Nina, nothing would have happened so brilliantly if you had not been the professional & wonderful woman you are. You catered for mine & Peters every need right down to the minuscule detail & when I may have been fussy & particular about something, you took care of it & made it perfect for me. I couldn't have wanted for more, seriously, having our event with you at the Midland was a dream come true. One thing I do remember was your early morning Pep talk to me ... calming my nerves in the morning. That kind of service & reassurance is priceless and I Know it may be 'part of your job' but I also think its who you are as a person. love & best wishes June & Peter x
