Stunning venue, cannot be beaten
We held our wedding reception at The Lowry on 19th August 2011. We had wanted a 'different' venue, something other than stately homes and hotels, so The Lowry was the perfect choice. The Compass Room was where we had our wedding breakfast and is a truly stunning room. Floor to ceiling glass with 306 degree views over Salford Quays and Media City. Our guests were delighted with the setting and we got so many comments on the beautiful room. The staff were exceptional too. I have been to a number of weddings in the past couple of years and have to say that the service received at The Lowry was second to none. The service was timely, smooth and efficient. All the staff were courteous and helpful. The wedding and event co-ordinators planned for every eventuality and bent over backwards to accommodate our every request, playing special music, serving specific drinks per table and even procuring specially requested drinks. I cannot recommend this venue enough. If you want the 'wow' factor, combined with value (no horrible drinks packages!!) and exceptional service then you have to consider The Lowry.

AMAZING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you live in the Manchester area you should go and have a look at this venue. Its much better than the run of the mills places where everyone gets married and much cheaper!! The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. At night the views over Manchester are out of this world and the room seems to change as the day goes on.Guests gasped as they entered the compass room. Fantastic photo opps. Great food. Just the best place to have a very extra special day. GO AND SEE IT!!!

I couldnt imagine a better setting
We just want to say how helpful Kathryn was with the organising of our wedding and reception. She helped to make the whole process remarkably stress free! All the staff who worked on the day were great and our guests commented on how well they were looked after. We had a really wonderful day and were so pleased that we chose to get married at The Lowry - i couldnt imagine a better setting

Wow Factor
Our wedding at The Lowry was a great success & all of our guests commented on how amazing the venue was, when we first viewed the room we thought it would be a great venue but did not realise until the actual day how much of a wow factor it would have once the room was decorated with the fairy lights & flowers etc.The ceremony went very well & the room layout was perfect. The service & food was excellent & the mushroom stroganoff was a favourite of mine and many other guests. We will have many happy memories from the day thanks to the venue & the great party that we had after the ceremony.

My wedding day at The Lowry was perfect, everything went according to plan and Kathryn, Simon and the whole Lowry team were wonderful. I couldnt fault The Lowryin any way, i loved it and would recommend it to anyone. The Lowry made my day maical and ill never forget it

Perfect
Our wedding at The Lowry was perfect. Everything went more than smoothly and was certainly more than we could have hoped for. I gave Kathryn our wedding co-ordinator loads to do with my table plan and decorations etc but she perfectly managed to make everything exactly as I hoped. We have had so many comments about what a great day people had and what a wonderful and unusual venue it was. The room looked stunning and the food was fantastic, everything worked brilliantly – we even got the sun in Manchester!

Fantastic time had by all
Just wanted to say a massive thanks for all The Lowrys help with the organising of our do. We''re both still buzzing from last Saturday-A good time was had by all. The food was lovely-I only tried the fish pie which was gorge because I was dashing around the room trying to see everyone but some of my friends tried every dish and raved about them all. The wine was nice and the staff were really friendly and accommodating with us. The duty manager especially-she was very helpful.

FANTASTIC FROM START TO FINISH !
the venue is stunning,the quays at night are suprisingly lovely,the photo opportunities are good both in and out of the building, the wedding coordinator is excellent, the staff were friendly, professional and helpful without exception,the catering was A1, cannot praise this place highly enough, our wedding was special and memorable from start to finish, also compared to other venues we felt the value for money was very good, just wish we could do it all again!
