The perfect place for the perfect day.
Having just returned from our daughters wedding on Saturday 19th November. We decided to write this review as we cannot express enough how special the whole day was.The building looked stunning with the fairy light pillars in the hall and upstairs set out beautifully for the wedding breakfast.The staff were extremely helpful from arrival till the moment we left.The caterers were also excellent and the food could not have been better. The whole evening was then rounded off with a great disco and evening buffet.Would recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in York.

Perfect!
Absolutely deserves it's five-star rating as it is not just a stunning location but also staffed by truly friendly and attentive people. We had a fantastic wedding day in October and all our guests commented on the gorgeous surroundings and equally delicious food. We just wish we could do it all again now!

Perfect on every level!
We were married at the Hospitium in York on the 10th September 2011. It's hard to imagine before your wedding exactly how all the different elements of your day are going to come together, the registrar, the caterers, the photographer, the entertainment, let alone all your guests! Jenn and the team over at the Hospitium were absolutely fantastic. They are confident, experienced, professional and personable. They plan and execute weddings every weekend and their knowledge and experience totally shines through.... They really get the fact that your day is so important to you and go that extra mile to ensure that all your needs are met. During the planning phase Jenn was so efficient, emails were answered quickly and she was always there at the end of the phone if I needed her. On our wedding day, every element of our day was perfect, we couldn't fault it. Jenn and the team we busy working to keep the momentum of our day going but you didn't really notice they were there, it ran so smoothly. To future brides and grooms - I can't recommend getting married at the Hospitium enough. The venue it's self is beautiful, a really special place and for us was a perfect compromise as whilst we love churches neither of us are very religious. The building has a lovely warm feeling to it, the fairy lights wrapped around the stone pillars and window seats are full of character. The setting is beautiful too, being in the park near the ruins and by the river gave us a variety of back drops for our photos. Enjoy planning your wedding and if you're thinking about getting married at the Hospitium, I can't recommend it enough.... Go for it!

The perfect place to get married
Our experience with the Hospitium couldn't have been better. We were planning a wedding from Canada which could have been really stressful but Jenn was so incredibly helpful in answering all my many questions. Our Canadian guests were wowed by the venue and overall the day felt really, really special (and isn't that what everyone wants on their wedding day??)

lived up to expectations
We had an amazing day, undoubtedly helped by the amazing staff at the Hospitium. Nothing was too much for them. The venue had the wow factor, and the food was pretty darned tasty. We streamed our wedding via a live, secure site (www.mediasensations.com.au). Again, the staff at the hospitium assisted in the setup of the streaming. Just fantastic all round!

Wonderful
We had the most faboulous wedding reception at the Hospitium. The venue, food and service were exceptional and many of our guests have contacted us to tell us so! Jenn, our wedding co-ordinator, was genuinely excited by our wedding plans all the way through so you felt that it was really personal and not just another date in the busy Hospitium diary.

Wedding June 3, 2011
We had an amazing wedding at the Hospitium—the unique venue that has everything (character; beautiful surroundings; great staff and above all, the perfect location to tie the knot). The caterers were fantastic and reasonable compared to a lot of other far inferior venues we looked at. The bar prices were also reasonable, which I think is important for guests travelling a long distance to come to the wedding. I would recommend the Hospitium to anyone and feel very lucky to have found such a special venue to get married.

Perfect venue, staff and wedding!
We married at the Hospitium on the 13th May - we had THE most perfect day. The venue is stunning, Claire was great as were all the staff we had contact with and Bradshaws provided top class food. Our friends and family were blown away with the building and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Thankyou Hospitium for such a perfect package! x

Fantastic wedding package
The Hospitium is the ideal place to get married and has the ideal team to help with your plans. Claire was on hand throughout to answer questions and calm our nerves, nothing was too much and we cant thank her enough. Her team were all flawless on the day and the Bradshaws food is amazing! A first class venue!

Wish we were getting married there!
When my fiance and I were looking at wedding venues the Hospitium was initially top of our list then we were made aware of an "aspiring 5 star hotel" that was opening and was offering wedding packages. After viewing that venue and being sold a wedding planning service we instead elected to get married at this "aspiring 5 star hotel". We are due to get married in June and have had problem after problem with our venue and feel we made a massive mistake not choosing the Hospitium especially after seeing all the excellent reviews the Hospitium is getting. So whilst I am not get married at the Hospitium I wish we were!

We got married at the Hospitium at the beginning of March 2011. Cannot fault the staff at the venue. Never come across such helpful and enthusiastic staff. Its just what you need when you are planning a wedding. Nothing is too much trouble. Jenn was a star and helped us so much. She knows of lots of handy tips and knows of many suppliers that can come in very handy. The venue is simply beautiful. With the twinkly lights and the beautiful ruins..what better place is there? We had a ball. We would recommend it to anyone. With Bradshaws in tow supplying lovely food and great service - its well worthy of its good name.

A wonderful venue with wonderful staff!
We held our wedding at the Hospitium in January and could not be happier with how it went. The wedding co ordinator Claire was just lovely, our regular contact did not bother her and she always knew how to help. Even on the day she was there to help out with her team. If you booked the Hospitium you would be in safe hands. The catering is also perfect and the staff on the evening were friendly. Holly in particular was there on hand throughout our day.. so thank you to all.
