      Everything taken care of for you
      Got married at the Grand in July 06. Have to say that some of the staff did seem a bit flakey in the run up to the wedding but on the day - we couldn''t have asked for more. The location of the Grand is superb as the sea is right on your doorstep and the views especially from the Orchid suite are stunning. The real strength of the Grand, in my opinion, is the master of ceremonies he looks like he might have been a butler in a previous life! He took care of everything on the day - anything you expected was taken care of with a lot of attention to detail. The day was very relaxed and ran to our schedule rather than the hotel''s. The food was excellent too. Based on our experiences I''d highly recommend the Grand.

      An excellent wedding venue with a very regal atmosphere!
      I got married at the Grand Hotel in August last year and it was a fantastic venue. The wedding coordinator, Angela, was brilliant and was on hand all day to oversee everything. The wedding room was well set-out, the food was gorgeous and the reception was even better! The locatin is breathtaking, with the sea practically on the doorstep, and it proved very popular with our guests who do not live near the coast. It does lack roaming gardens but Tynemouth Priory, just 2 minutes up the road, is lovely to have some intimate photos taken. All in all I can't recommend The Grand Hotel enough.
