The Coniston Hotel is a wedding venue unlike any other, a venue where friendly, personal service comes naturally. Nestling in 1400 acres of stunning Yorkshire Dales scenery centred round a 24-acre lake makes the most stunning backdrop for your wedding album. The estate is one of the most romantic settings imaginable; a perfect place for a perfect wedding. Yet the location is only part of the story. As we only ever hold one wedding or civil partnership per day, you’re guaranteed to be the focus of our attention, with delicious food, spectacular surroundings and a true Yorkshire welcome waiting for every one of your guests.

From your first visit to the hotel and estate, to adding the finishing touches on the day, our wedding co-ordinator will be with you every step of the way.

At the Coniston Hotel you’ll find four exceptional ceremony venues from which to choose, each with it’s own charm and character. Following this you will have use of the conservatory and garden terrace area perfect for your drinks reception and photographs before moving through to your reception room for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations.

At the heart of the Coniston estate sits Coniston Hall, a stunning character residence nestling in the trees with exceptional vistas across the lake towards the hotel. Here you can enjoy an intimate and very private ceremony, drinks in the sitting room and time to relax on the terrace using the lake as an amazing natural backdrop for your wedding photographs.

With a reputation for serving excellent food, sourced wherever possible from local sources, the dining experience at The Coniston Hotel is something for which we are justifiably proud. And it’s our passion for food, complemented by a fine choice of wines that your guests will remember for years to come.

      Our Wedding Day was so special
      A massive thank you to you and everyone at the Coniston Hotel for helping make our wedding day so special. Every memner of staff was helpful and friendly, the food was fantastic and the support yourself and Claire gave us, not only on the day but from even before booking with you, was amazing! We really appreciated the personal touch of the service you provide. Your attention to detail was spot on and we couldn't fault the service you provided in any way. the food and the lovely view across the lake at the back. Thanks again and we look forward to coming to visit the hotel again in the future!

      It really made the wedding extra special
      Thank you so much for letting us use your lovely home for our daughter's wedding on Thursday. It really made the wedding extra special! Our guests loved talking to you and hearing about your family & the history of the house, and of course the view of the lake was spectacular, despite the rain! We can't wait to see the photographs. Many thanks for all your hard work, both at the Church and at the house. We all had a wonderful time, and wil remember it always.

      Just wanted to say thank you so much for everything! Our wedding (7th Aug 2011) was perfect, we could not have asked for anything more - the service from everyone was fantastic and all our guests commented on the food and the outstanding setting. We will be visiting for years to come!
