One of the most distinctive hotels in the area, The Cock Hotel is an elegant 15th Century coaching inn which rose to national pre-eminence in the great age of coach travel.  The hotel is the perfect venue for weddings, with the choice of two reception rooms and a lovely walled courtyard. The Cock Hotel is licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies.

Our purpose built Mrrquee Suite comfortably caters for up to 100 guests at a formal seated reception or alternatively up to 150 guests for an informal cocktail reception.  For smaller more informal wedding receptions, the Oak room and the Snug Bar are ideal for groups of up to 35 guests.

      First class - highly recommended!
      We had our wedding reception here at the end of May and the venue, service, food and entertainment were all absolutely first class. We were made to feel like stars. The food was exquisite, and the hotel has been recently renovated so the rooms are in a beautiful condition. Staff were polite, friendly and highly professional and nothing was too much trouble. In-house DJ was excellent. Outside courtyard is lovely to enjoy on a warm dry evening and we can find absolutely nothing to fault - highly recommended!

      as a guest - great!
      parking, red carpet for bride and groom arrival, staff afriendly professional. Open Bar for public not so good although nice to show off as Bride. Big reception room for party and outdoor for those pig roasts!
