The Acacia Suite is a unique round room with doors that open onto the patio and gardens. This room can hold up to 100 people for a wedding breakfast and 150 for your evening reception.For smaller, more intimate occasions our Conservatory is ideal.

The food is all freshly prepared by the Chefs in our Award winning Resaturant. There is a wide choice of menus to suit all tastes and budgets.

The Bride and Groom are offered complimentary wedding night accommodation in a beautifully furnished four-poster suite. For your guests we can offer discounted accommodation rates.

At The Bobsleigh Hotel we are dedicated to helping you plan the perfect Wedding Day. Our Event Manager will be on hand during your Wedding to ensure you have a day to remember. Set in the quiet village of Bovingdon The Bobsleigh Hotel provides a peaceful rural setting for your Wedding Day. The gardens also provide a scenic backdrop for your Wedding Photographs. The hotel has a variety of bedrooms to offer including classic rooms, executive rooms, features suites and two four-poster bedrooms. We also offer discounted rates to your guests. We are licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships for up to 120 people in our Acacia Suite or 80 people in the Restaurant. At The Bobsleigh Hotel we can hold up to 100 people for a seated Wedding Breakfast and 150 people for an evening reception. Free car parking at the hotel for up to 60 cars.

      A day to remember
      I would like to thank all the staff at The Bobsleigh Hotel for making our wedding day so special and a day to remember. Every single member of staff was so helpful and could not do enough for us. The garden was cut on the day to ensure the standard of the grounds were fantastically presented as the garden is a lovely place for the photos (luckily the sun was shining). A special mention really needs to go to the Event Manager who was overseeing everything on the day, his attention to detail was outstanding and he ensured that the day ran to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he made sure our day ran without a hitch. It is thanks to him that our guests, Daniel and I had such a great day. All of our guest’s have stated how much they enjoyed the food, so the chef’s need a special mention too. Please ensure that all the staff are recognised for their hard work at The Bobsleigh Hotel. Daniel and I will be recommending The Bobsleigh Hotel to friends and family for meals and events in the future.

      Exceptional!
      There were a lot of things we liked about The Bobsleigh. We loved the grounds and fortunately the weather was lovely on the day and we were able to have all our photos taken outside. The Acacia Suite which is gorgeous with the lovely glass apex roof and we felt it was absolutely perfect for our wedding reception. We had been to other potential venues and this was the first one where we both walked in and knew straight away this was the place we wanted our wedding to be! Cheryl Willoughby was efficient and helpful from day one. She made us feel very relaxed about organising the wedding and we felt confident that everything would be sorted for us. Cheryl responded quickly to every enquiry we had throughout the 10 months leading up to the wedding from the moment we booked The Bobsleigh and offered advice wherever necessary. James Cregg was excellent in both the week leading up to our wedding and the wedding day itself. He ran through timings for the entire wedding day with us a week before and we were left feeling 100% relaxed knowing that everything was in his capable hands. We would both like to say a big thank you to everyone who was involved on the day and helped to make our day so special – all the staff worked relentlessly to make sure everything went smoothly. The food for our wedding reception was outstanding. I would expect a bride to be nervous in the week leading up to her wedding but I can honestly say that if you book a wedding with The Bobsleigh, you have nothing to worry about!

      A day we will never forget
      The grounds of the hotel as well as the Acacia Suite first attracted us to the hotel. The professional manner of the staff was also excellent from our very first visit. The wedding co-ordinator was fantastic, their efforts and professionalism can not be faulted. Cheryl is very efficient and friendly. Peter was fantastic on the day, he was very good at staying behind the scenes and working his magic from there! The staff on the day were friendly, efficient, proactive, professional, well mannered, patient, the list goes on! Their hard work was appreciated not only by us but by all our guests. Thank you. The quality of the food was superb! Well presented, tasty and cooked to perfection. It was also wonderful to learn that the runner beans were picked fresh on the day from the hotel garden! The Resident DJ was the best! Alex was amazing. He played everything that we asked for (and in order). The guests were up dancing and enjoyed his set. Also loved the over head projector. Overall we can not thank you and praise you all enough! You went out of your way to ensure that everything ran smoothly, on time and to perfection. Your professional manner, patience and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. All of our needs and much, much more were met and for that we cant begin to express how much gratitude we have for you all. From meeting with Amy, discussions with Cheryl and finalising details with Peter from beginning to end our experience has been truly memorable and one that we will remember forever!

      Perfect Day
      We found Cheryl helpful and very well organised throughout the planning for our wedding. This made planning our wedding day a very positive experience. James and his team were all helpful and friendly throughout our wedding day. The day felt well organised which meant that we could focus on enjoying our day and being with all of our guests. The food was excellent and there was loads of it! Overall we had a perfect wedding day at the Bobsleigh. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the day, even offering towels to put on the grass so that I could have lovely outside photos without getting a muddy dress after the rain! The food was excellent and commented on by many of our guests. We just couldn’t quite finish it all and now I know why you said confidently that you never run out of food when we were planning the wedding. The night security man also makes good coffee and shouldn’t be forgotten!

      Amazing
      Cheryl (pre wedding) and James (on the day) were amazing. We didn’t have to wait long for responses to questions and every time we came in we left feeling extremely happy and felt like we were in good hands. The staff did an extremely good job. If anything was needed it was retrieved straight away. There was one waiter, Peter, who was exceptional as he always seemed to be there. He also looked after me and my family when we came for a meal the night before. The food was unbelievable. We had pretty much decided we were going to ask for something that wasn’t on the menu until we came in for the trial and tasted the beef. It was gorgeous and accompanied by the perfect amount of potatoes and veg which tasted almost as good. Overall the day went perfectly as far as the venue and everything that came with it was concerned. We could not have asked for anything more. The grounds were perfect for the children to run around in and we have some lovely photographs of the day. We had a lovely wedding day and would highly recommend the hotel to others.

      An amazing day
      We were attracted to the Bobsleigh mainly because of the location and nice setting, but particularly after being shown around the hotel we knew it was the venue for us. Cheryl Willoughby, our event coordinator, was brilliant throughout. She responded to emails and phone-calls quickly and gave us no doubt that we were in safe hands. Thank you Cheryl! Peter Gump looked after us on the day and was fantastic, very professional and made sure our day ran smoothly. The food was amazing and we had lots of comments about the high standard of all the food from our guests. Even our ‘Fussy Eater’ was happy! Overall we had an amazing wedding and would like to thank particularly Cheryl and Peter, but also the staff behind the scenes who all contributed to the smooth running of our wedding. We were looked after right from the start and had great confidence in the hotel as the venue for our wedding. Nothing was too big or too small and all of our requirements were met. We had a truly amazing day and out guests were equally impressed. Thank you so much and we have written to Mr Macdonald of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts as our expectations were definitely exceeded!

      The perfect wedding day
      We heard good reviews about the Bobsleigh Hotel. When going to see the venue the staff seemed very professional and organised making our choice that much easier. Cheryl, our wedding co-ordinator, was amazing. I must have emailed her more than 30 times asking various questions. She always got back to me very quickly and was more than helpful. She was able to give great ideas and really made sure that everything went smoothly. Peter, our Event Manager, was also fantastic. His calm approach really put us at ease. I was able to enjoy the day without worry as Peter completely lifted the weight off our shoulders. Very professional! All other staff from what we remember was also good. The food was lovely, great choice, cooked well. Evening buffet completely exceeded our expectations. The ceremony room was well laid put. Peter did a great job in organising us all and making sure this ran smoothly. The meal was great, staff were prompt. The disco was brilliant fun for everyone, room set out well for number of people we had. Peter did a brilliant job making sure the DJ and band were in place, drinks were flowing and atmosphere was buzzing. Room was lovely – again exceeded our expectations and everything ran really smoothly which was our main concern. The Bobsleigh Hotel will be well recommended. Big thanks to Cheryl and Peter xx

      A huge thank you
      I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the team at The Bobsleigh for arranging for everything to run smoothly for James and Caroline's wedding last Saturday. From the moment we checked in on Friday until leaving yesterday morning nothing was too much trouble for your staff. Our rooms were comfortable and well serviced, the restaurant staff were most attentive (and tolerant of the children causing disruptions ....), the standard of cuisine was superb throughout, Peter was a star and oversaw that the whole day and the wedding breakfast ran to plan, and the reception team were always helpful and smiling. We had a wonderful stay and have taken away many happy memories of a special day, and we have received many complimentary comments from our guests too - would you please pass on our thanks to all at The Bobsleigh.
