Perfect Wedding VenueWe got married at The Beech Hill in October 2009, the team at the hotel were outstanding from the day they showed us around til the morning we checked out. All of our guests commented on the venue and food, a few said it was the best meal they had ever had!(roast lamb). It did rain for most of the day but it didnt spoil it, the real log fires made us feel nice and cosey and made for some great pics. We took our close family out on a cheese and wine lake cruise from the hotel in the afternoon, the day before the big day which was a lovely start to a wonderful weekend. Most of our family stayed for the weekend too. A big thank you to Donna and her team. Especially Ron, the late night bar man.

AmazingWhen we booked the hotel, we were amazed by how helpful the staff were and how relaxed the environment was. Well i got married on 3/1/10 all i have to say was how amazing my day was, not just because i had my family there. The staff bent over backwards in every detail, the rooms were amazing (we had room 29, only fault was the bed was so big that when you rolled over the sheets were cold. ha ha) The food was A* and we had 3 chefs there at your wedding and they were impressed. If you want a relaxed friendly chilled day with no stress, good wine, the i'd recommend this hotel. if you want a rigid stuffy day don't book. we had alot of problems on the day as the best man came down ill 1 hour before the speach (co-incidence) . He ended up in hospital (gastro entoritus due to his diabetes). the staff enformed us every step of the way what was going on and they kept my mother in law and father in laws food warm for them. We had really bad weather and they kept us informed that the roads were clear and that we could get through. thank you donna you were a god send (and she was free) we will be back x

Perfect WeddingWe had our wedding here in August 2009 and it was fantastic. I had been slightly worried having read earlier reviews but we are so glad we picked this venue. Donna (wedding co-ordinator) ensured everything ran smoothly on the day and the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for everyone. We had our drinks served on the lawn along with photographs. The food served for our wedding breakfast was beautiful, all the guests were very impressed with it. We had a singer and the resident dj for the disco in the evening. It was a hot summers evening so people enjoyed being able to move in and out of the function room to the balcony overlooking the lake with drinks. Lots of our family and friends stayed 1 or 2 nights in the hotel and were very happy with their rooms. Many of them were given upgraded rooms. My husband and I stayed in the Wordsworth Suite, it was amazing, a huge room and private balcony with hot tub. Would highly recommend! Quite a few of our family and friends have said they would like to stay there again....I know we will be returning again soon!!!

Perfect DayWe had our wedding at the Beech Hill and also stayed there the night before along with a number of our guests. My mother-in-law told me after that if one could describe a perfect day - then we had it! We had so many positive comments from others in our party about the excellent food, the excellent breakfast , the seamless service and the wonderful staff. Our whole stay went so smoothly and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The whole atmosphere is relaxing. Our rooms were clean and nicely presented and the bathroom was lovely - I wanted to take the shower home! I would highly recommend the Beech Hill and I know several of our guests and relatives have mentioned revisiting for another stay. The views of the lakes and mountains are obviously fantastic and we were lucky enough to take a boat trip from the hotel's private jetty. All in all a memorable stay.We will definitely be returning.

A Beautiful SpotLocated in a beautiful spot on the shores of lake Windermere with large windows on the lake side overlooking it. I got married here and had a fantastic day the hotel really made it, not just with the views but the level of service was extremely good and everyone said that the food was the best they had had at a wedding before. The Wordsworth suite which we used as our honeymoon suite for a few nights is out of this world although isn,t cheap, you have your own private door to the pool, garden overlooking the lake with hot tub, massive bed, remote control curtains well worth it if you fancy treating yourselves. All in all The Beach Hill Hotel is well worth a look, its only a taxi ride away from Bowness but is nice if you want to stay in-house and dine and chill a bit, and I would highly recomend it as a wedding venue.

Our wedding was perfect! We got married in December 2006 and had a wonderful day. We had a Sunday wedding which meant we almost had the hotel to ourselves. It was stress free with a very helpful wedding co-ordinator, Donna. The hotel overlooks the lake and we had roaring log fires. We stayed in the fantastic Wordsworth suite with its own private door to the swimming pool and a hot tub outside with stunning views of the lake. All of our guests had great rooms overlooking the lake also. The food and service was excellent and it was a week-end we will never forget!

A Beautiful DayI would like to thank The Beech Hill for making our wedding day wonderful and unique. All staff were especially willing and helpful as the beautiful day unfolded. Every attention to detail was carried out meticulously. Every guest commented on the fabulous food from the welcoming canapes to the Wedding Breakfast. We particularly enjoyed our stay in The Wordsworth Suite and all of our guests enjoyed their stay with you and the stunning views from their rooms. Thank you for helping to make a special occasion so memorable for everyone, not least for us!

This venue comes highly recommended!Have just returned from our wedding at The Beech Hill Hotel and we couldn''t have asked for a more perfect wedding. The staff are excellent, especially the wedding co-ordinator and nothing was too much trouble. On arriving at the hotel we just passed all the pre-prepared decorations over to the wedding co-ordinator and this lifted the responsibility from us immediately. We could just relax and enjoy the build up to the day. The ceremony was very intimate and informal and we had a member of staff on hand throughout. We treated our guests to a lake cruise and everyone remarked at how special a touch this was. On returning to the hotel, the room had been relaid for the meal, all the decorations we had made were laid out just how I would have done them, perfect, and I had not lifted a finger! The food was fantastic, everyone commented on how lovely it was. All in all a super day and venue where you really can relax and let other people take the stress out of the whole occassion. We would both highly recommend this venue if you are considering the lakes for a wedding. We will be back!
