Celebrate the style and sophistication of a classic English wedding at the Bay Tree Hotel in the Cotswolds. Your guests will be captivated by this charming 16th century Cotswold venue, situated in the picturesque village of Burford. Our wedding co-ordinator will be delighted to work with you so that together you can ensure a day which is truly memorable. You can even have exclusive use of the entire hotel for your big day.

The hotel has three rooms licensed to hold Civil Wedding Ceremonies. The Hawthorne Room can hold up to 12 people, while the Conservatory is the perfect setting for up to 60 guests. Three rooms are available for the wedding breakfast: the Hawthorne Room seats up to 10 guests, the Conservatory up to 40 guests and the Bay Tree Restaurant up to 80 guests. The Bay Tree is also an ideal location for an evening wedding reception.

Exclusive Use at The Bay Tree Hotel

As a small country house hotel, the Bay Tree Hotel is ideally suited to exclusive use weddings. On the Wedding Day we can give you exclusivity of the hotel from check-in (14.00) until check out the following morning. Once your last guests have arrived we will close the front door allowing you to enjoy the atmosphere of a private house party with the advantage of our friendly and professional team to tend to your every need.

Alternatively, you may wish to hold a day-time reception vacating the restaurant by 6.00pm, when you can transfer to the more informal setting of our conservatory for the remainder of the evening. Unfortunately we do not allow any live music or bands in the conservatory if you are having a day reception.

Should you wish to hold an ‘exclusive use’ wedding on any day other than Saturday, we are able to offer special reduced rates. Please contact our Wedding Co-ordinator for details.

Garden Ceremonies in the Summer House and gardens

      Perfect Venue

      Beautiful setting for an intimate wedding.
