The Ashes

The Ashes is a magnificent Grade II* listed family home, this unique setting with its listed barns is available for exclusive private hire. The formal gardens and lake overlook the parkland setting where the tree lined drive can be seen meandering up to the property over an 18th Century stone bridge.

The Ashes is available for your wedding on an exclusive basis. Our booking fee guarantees that you will have the venue entirely to yourselves and includes: The West Barn and The East Barn, The Old Dairy, the garden and grounds, use of chairs and tables, off street parking, with no hidden charges.

We cater for all sizes of weddings, from intimate gatherings for say 30 to 40 guests to formal sitdown meals for friends and family up to 150 guests.

The unique and individual photograph opportunities are endless around the property providing the perfect setting for any occasion from formal lawns, gardens and ponds to secret paths through the wildflower meadow down to the wildlife lower lake.

The Ashes is licenced for Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships for up to 150 guests in our West Barn, which is then followed by your wedding reception in our East Barn for up to 150 guests. Ensuring the highest quality of catering and service, we can offer a full range of menu options from £27.50 + VAT, including "Design Your Own", and FREE CORKAGE is now included in all our menus. Exclusively yours, ensuring complete privacy for you and your guests. The Events team at The Ashes gives full support, before, during and after your special day. Equally suited to smaller and intimate celebrations for smaller weddings. The Ashes is situated in the heart of the countryside, but is very easy to access, being close to major roads linking the M6 and M1.

      Our Perfect Day
      Hi Jayne, Well this is long overdue but we just wanted to say a big thank you for all your help and support in the run up to our wedding. We loved the Ashes from the first moment we came to view it with ben and didn't even bother to view any other venues after we had visited as we knew that nowhere else would compare! Everyone there is so professional and helpful and it made it so easy for us to be able to organise our perfect day there. We have had amazing feedback from our guests who thought the venue and food were fabulous. We can't thank everyone at The Ashes enough and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend you to anyone else thinking of getting married there.

      So many happy memories
      Ben, Sarah, Jayne, Sabrina & the rest of the fabulous Ashes Team, Thank you so much for everything you did from beginning (back in March) to end, to help make our wedding the wonderful day it was.       Beautiful venue, the buildings have been rennovated to an amazing standard, but also so simple. The saff were all amazing and i would recommend The Ashes to anyone.

      Sabrina and all at The Ashes, Just to say a HUGE thank you to Sabrina for making sure we had the best most amazing wedding day! You were fantastc on the day. Everything went without a hitch and thank you especially for looking after my grandad who was taken ill on the day. I cannot fault all the help and guidance we recieved in in the run up to our day. All staff members we have spoken to or e-mailed or pestered in any other way have been brilliant. The venue is perfect and thank you for a perfect day!
