Fantastic Wedding Venue
We held our wedding reception at the Abbey Hotel in October 2012. From our first contact via email through to meetings with the wedding co-ordinator and the day itself we cannot praise The Abbey enough. The attention to detail was excellent, the staff courteous and helpful and the food was outstanding. Everything we asked for was possible and we have received many compliments from our guests. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the venue to anyone looking for a wedding reception. We certainly made the right choice.

Wedding at the Abbey Hotel
We had such an amazing day at the hotel, the wedding planners, Pam and Kay, were so helpful in the run up to our day. The actual day was amazing, all the staff hosting our wedding did everything prompltly and we didnt have to worry about a thing. There was alway someone one hand if we needed anything, even up to telling my bridesmaids and me when to walk down the isle. This all made us feel at ease and lessened any nerves that may have been floating about. The rooms and wedding packages the hotel offer are very reasonable and fantastic. The food and gereral service provided at The Abbey Hotel was amazing and they made our day feel very special. would highly reccommend.

Our Wedding at a Perfect Venue
Had our wedding day here... It was perfect from start to finish!! A beautiful venue in stunning surroundings with delicious food...and the rooms are so comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who made us and our family and friends so welcome. A massive thank you to Kay who made our day so special.

Excellent Wedding Experience
My wife and I recently held our wedding reception at this venue and from start to finish the level of service we received was second to none. The whole team made our day even better and the facilities on offer were excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone whether it be for use of a hotel room or its other excellent facilities.

Wedding Day
Wow what a year. Where has time gone – all the fantastic memories of Beth and Charlie’s lovely wedding day have come flooding back now we have almost reached December 10th one year on. We are just off to Club La Santa, Lanzarote, the theme of their wedding, where Beth and Charlie met and it has bought back all those fabulous memories. What a superb day it was. Everything went to plan - a day packed with surprises. The Abbey Hotel staff were fantastic – helped by Kay’s meticulous planning and Chris who compered the occasion and adjusted timings with finesse. Kay was so helpful with all the wedding preparation, an essential person and a joy to work with. Sarah was great setting up the tables in the venue and the disco was enjoyed by all. The Abbey staff made the day go so smoothly and catered for every need. The wedding breakfast and evening food was very good. We had so many lovely comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed themselves and the hotel facilities. To quote the bride and groom Beth and Charlie ‘It was the best day of our lives and lots of fun and nothing went wrong!’ Many thanks Abbey Hotel for a wonderful day last year. We celebrated New Years Eve 2011 at the hotel in great style and are back again for this New Years Eve. Excellent value for money. Very proud parents of the Bride - Chris and Denis

Our Perfect Wedding Day
After visiting about a thousand wedding venues (ok slight exaggeration!) we decided to book our evening reception at the Abbey Hotel - so very glad we did! From start to finish we had the most professional and friendly service, nothing was too much trouble for them. Our wedding day was fabulous, the room was set out beautifully, it far exceeded our expectations. The grounds are stunning and look amazing on our photographs. We were kept informed of what was going on and timings for the day and the food was delicious - so many of our guests have commented how lovely it was. If i had to be picky - i was slightly disappointed with the DJ - this is a company the hotel recommended to us - Midland Entertainment. He seemed to have a set list of songs (none from the last 30 years!) and was determined not to deviate from it, he was very reluctant to play any requests and managed to clear the dancefloor very early on! In hindsight i should have given a list of songs i wanted him to play. Anyway, this is no reflection on the hotel, and as i said this is being very picky! We had such a wonderful experience at the Abbey and would highly recommend it as a wedding venue, we hope to visit again very soon.

Absolutely Faultless
We had our wedding ceremony and reception here early august.The wedding co-ordinator, Jane Lawda, was fantastic throughout the entire planning process and her help and support played a huge part in us realising our dream day! Nothing was too much bother for her or indeed the staff that looked after us on the day/night.We were offered help in keeping to budget and no comprimise was made on the quality of food or service and we received many a compliment on the gorgeous presentation of the 3course wedding breakfast. The evening buffet was also faultless with huge portions, plenty for all. special rates were offered for our overnight guests including a fantastic freshly cooked buffet breakfast. To top it all off we spent the night in the bridal suite, complete with a lovely dark oak four poster bed and amazing views. Our photographs are wonderful, as the Abbey offers many natural beauty spots to capture those special momments. If i could do it all again i wouldn't change a single thing. So thank you to all the staff who made our day so special, and especially you Jane-we can't thank you enough! A VERY VERY HAPPY MR & MRS!

Phenomenal Wedding
Our wedding reception was held at The Abbey hotel on 16th June 2012 and we couldn't have asked for better. Right from our first meeting with the hotel, the support, help and service we received was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. In fact the staff at the hotel clearly know their business and made some valuable suggestions, many of which we adopted into our plans. The day itself was seamless and we couldn't have asked for anything more. I cannot begin to say how impressed we were with the welcome, the food, the service and the helpfulness of all the staff. The accommodation was lovely and very well presented. The breakfast the following morning was also lovely with a wide choice to suit all tastes and diets. If you are thinking of having your wedding at this hotel, I cannot recommend it highly enough. You will be made to feel as special as you should on your wonderful day. Thank you very much Abbey Hotel!

Wedding Reception
We chose The Abbey because of its location and we are delighted we did. The Wedding Team were superb, the meal was excellent and the staff were a delight. We have had so many wonderful comments from friends and family who complimented the food, atmosphere and helpfulness of everyone involved in our special day. Our rooms for the night were excellent and breakfast was a wonderful relaxing start to the day. Staff were again very attentive and helpful. Congratulations Abbey you made our daughter's wedding day a truly memorable occasion - thank you to all concerned.

Most Helpful Staff
We held our wedding at this hotel and what a top venue. We wanted a flexible package to our own requirements and very informal. The staff were so accomodating with our plans and on the day couldn't be more attentive - made ourselves and guests all feel very special. This is a very unique hotel with individually designed rooms, a lovely pool and spa area and doesn't feel at all 'corporate'. Would highly recommend the Abbey Hotel for any special occasion!!

Our Wedding
We held our wedding here in May 2012. From the initial meeting with pam and Kay we knew we were in safe hands. Every little detail was covered by them,things you may have forgotten they had it covered. We had the menu sorted then came the trial run of the meal which was fantastic and was slightly tweaked by the chef to make it perfect for us. Hotel rooms are large and well equipped everything you need to relax. The staff were simply brilliant, I had a bit of a moment on the wedding day with the cravat,to which the reception staff made a few calls around the hotel asking if anyone knew how to tie one. Luckily Ann came to the rescue( Thankyou). On the day of the wedding the staff were absolutely amazing, everything we wanted....they made sure they organised it for us. They were extremely efficient and professional, we could not fault them in any way. We were lucky to have the choice of which suite we wanted to stay in, we opted for the studley suite which is a beautiful room, with it's own balcony which overlooks the fantastic views of the golf course. To sum up, we would fully recommend the abbey hotel as a wedding venue to anyone who is considering booking their venue here. It really is a wonderful place to hold your wedding, everything about it is simply perfect. Many thanks to all the staff and wedding planners at the hotel for making our day so special.

Excellent Hotel
My husband and I recently got married at the The Abbey hotel on 23rd March 2012. A close friend had her wedding reception at the hotel last year and recommended it as venue for our wedding day. We booked the Henley in Arden suite for the whole day and had a Civil Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast (the food was fantastic) then followed by an Evening Reception. Throughout all the arrangements our wedding co-ordinator Kay helped us with any questions and concerns; she definitely makes you feel very special and makes sure that everything goes smoothly on the day. We would like to thank her for all her help, along with a big thank you to Chris who was Master of Ceremonies for us on the day. Without either Kay or Chris’ help I don’t think I would have been as relaxed on the wedding day. We stayed in the Studley Suite on the night of the wedding, and a number of our family and friends also stayed in the hotel. The rooms are absolutely lovely, and some of them have stunning views over the golf course. We would highly recommend The Abbey Hotel to friends, family or anyone looking for a venue for a special event, or just a few nights away in an excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We won’t hesitate to go back to the hotel in the future,
