Situated in rural Berkshire, with breathtaking views across rolling countryside, Templars Events has magnificent historic barns which have been completely refurbished and are now available for wedding receptions, anniversary or birthday parties, school ‘Prom’ parties and corporate lunches.

Individually decorated for each function, the barn’s interior is stunning. It captures the very essence of the Georgian period but also provides comfortable modern dining facilities.

Templars Events provides barns which are the perfect wedding reception venues with a variety of options for seating plans. One venue has a dance floor is positioned through a separate archway, allowing livelier guests to dance the night away while those who choose to chat in peace are seated away from the music. This barn has a path that leads to the barn’s imposing original doors and overlooked by rustic stables, the gravelled area to the front is the perfect setting for your drinks’ reception and photographic opportunities. Restored to its original design, this barn is an authentic working farm barn, providing an unique setting for your special event. A perfect ‘time capsule’ of Georgian history but with modern amenities, makes it the ideal venue for your big day. The family has lived here for over a quarter of a century, giving the farm a wonderful family feel – this is something central to the barn which many have fallen in love with.

Summary information

At Templars Events, we understand your parties and weddings are once in a lifetime events, the memories of which you will cherish forever. This is why we make every effort to make you feel at home and cater to your individual needs. Many of Templars' Barns comfortably seat up to 150 people and larger functions with the addition of a marquee. We have no corkage fee and couples can choose self service catering or the complete package. There is ample hard surface parking, with the addition of meadow parking during the spring and summer. The venue is available to hire alone for £3000 which covers the entire weekend for preparation and decoration, and the whole weekend. Our complete package involves our local suppliers - friends whom we have known and trusted for many years. From our talented florist to our fabulous caterers – each one will come and visit you to help you create the perfect event

      Everyone said how beautiful the place was
      All the comments we received were along the lines of: ‘What a lovely venue; how did you find such a fantastic place’ … It was interesting that a great number of guests actually made a point of saying how beautiful it was! Normally people don’t comment which means that those that did really meant what they said! The loos also were excellent and the way that it is laid out makes it excellent for band and dancing at one end and tables at the other end.       The perfect English country wedding!
      I just wanted to say that Templars Barn made the most fantastic setting for our Big Day – and with the sun shining for us, it truly was the perfect English country wedding!
