Fantastic Day
This review arrives on here a little late, well very late in fact. We got married at the end of August this year and although we had distinct reservations about how the day was going to turn out (because of the extensive renovations running behind schedule), all the staff, at all levels, within the hotel group made our day absolutely faultless. Even the MD of the hotel group personally contributed to exceeding our expectations. The hotel is in one of the best towns in the UK and has one of the most awe inspiring views you could ever hope for for a wedding. If by now the renovations are complete, and to be honest, even if they're not, this is a venue not to be missed.

Loved every minute of our wedding and the days surrounding. Becky, Phil and the team will cetrainly look after your every need and the staff will make you feel like VIPs. The spa is a MUST for any bride to be and the new decor really has the WOW factor. We'll be back again and again. Big and stylish hotel with a family feel. No regrets at all from us or our 140 guests!

The most perfect day!
The wedding ceremony and reception at the Porthminster were absolutely perfect, Phil and I loved it and so did all our guests. The day went so well, you all made sure that every tiny little detail was seen to. Nothing was too much trouble for you! The Harbour Suite where the ceremony took place had the most breathtaking views across the bay as did the Godrevy Suite where our meal and reception took place. The food and service was wonderful. Our complimentary room was stunning again with panoramic views across the bay. We had the most brilliant time getting ready for the ceremony drinking champagne and eating strawberries with my bridesmaid Sheila. All in all a splendid day! Even the sun shone for us! All our guests have not stopped talking about it and everyone agrees it was the best wedding ever!! Thank you all so much especially Christy, Serene and Rebecca for giving us the most perfect day!

We had a perfect day! Rebecca and her team were helpful and professional right from the start of the planning process up to the day itself. They ensured we had a great worry free day! The day went just as we planned. The wedding food was also superb. Our guest commented on how great and delicious food was and it was a lot of it too. Beautiful location! Having the blue sea as a back drop is truly amazing. We could not have asked for anything better. Our wedding day was better than we could ever have imagined! A dream come truth. We wouldn't change a thing.

Amazing!!
We could not have asked for better service from the Porthminster team! From the initial build up to the on the day running of the reception Claire Churcher and her team made sure that the day went just as we planed. The food was lovely (roast beef) fantastic portion sizes and well cooked and the cheesecake was a total hit! It was great to get pictures down on the beach and we had the unexpected shuttle bus service to take down myself and the bridesmaids down! The venue is amazing, with plenty of natural light and the decor is clean and neutral which goes with any colour scheme, but having the blue sea as a back drop really enhanced our royal blue colour scheme!We would definately recommend this venue for weddings as our day was better than we could ever have imagined!

Wonderful!!
We had a double wedding at the porthminster hotel St.Ives.A wonderful location, a wonderful hotel and wonderful staff, we could not have wished for more. Our Austrian guests were most inpressed, as were our english guests. Many have said they will visit again, us included!

Everyone at The Harbour Hotel was fantastic on our wedding day, Claire and Mark were both amazing and ensured that the day ran smoothly. Our friends and family all commented on how helpful the staff were and the great food. We could not have asked for anything better.

Best day of our lives....
The Porthminster St Ives benefits from being situated on the Best beach in Britain (published 24hours after we got married). The staff are all very courteous, polite, efficient and helpful - nothing was too much. On the Friday night we dropped on them that we all wanted dinner so they mustered up Fish and Chip for 50 odd people at the drop of a hat. It was brilliant and they made up some tables in the ceremony room. The wedding food was also superb. Our friends and family travelled from all over the country to be with us and were stunned by the beauty of the whole place. Rebecca and Mark were absolutely Excellent - truly 1st class. There was building works going on but the disruption did not once impact on our day or the guests enjoyment. Definitely a location we would recommend.

Fantastic Venue Wonderful Day
We held our wedding and receiption at the Porthminster (or the St Ives Harbour Hotel as it is now known) in April 2011. The newly renovated function rooms and bedrooms are stunning and the panoramic backdrop of St Ives Bay across to Gwithian make for a fabulous location. From the off Becky, Claire and the team couldn't do enough for us. Right down to sourcing a cake at an hours notice after our supplier didn't show! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Hotel as a location for your special day. We will return, especially when the spa opens later this year!

Fantastic!!!
We had our ceremony and reception here at the beginning of April and it was fantastic, I would recommend it to anyone!!! Hazel, Claire and all the staff could not have done enough for us and thank you to Mark for singing to us, it finished our night off perfect!!! We hope to see you next year on our anniversary!!!
