Located on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire borders yet only 50 minutes from London, South Farm is a lovingly restored Grade II listed country house.  Set in 20 acres of landscaped grounds and beautiful gardens surrounded by a smallholding, the main house adjoins a courtyard of lovingly restored timber framed barns, granaries and stables.
Providing a magical venue for your wedding whatever the weather, South Farm is licensed to hold ceremonies either outside in our beautiful Summer House or in a number stunning indoor options.  Exclusively yours for the duration of your wedding, our detailed planning and exceptional service will ensure you and your guests will enjoy your special day without any pressures or worries.
The prize winning menus on offer at South Farm take full advantage of the 200 varieties of fruit and vegetables grown on-site.  However, if you have special dishes you would like to introduce we will happily work with you to devise a bespoke menu.
With our accommodation providing your guests with a number of options ranging from one of our superb family suites and en-suite double bedrooms to enchanting Romany Caravans or camping in one of our paddocks, South Farm is a truly unique wedding venue.

      A marvelous and flexible venue with great food!
      The venue is a wonderul old house and adjacent buildings set in lovely gardens. The old diary (for the ceremony) and barn (for the wedding breakfast) are stunning and the food is very good. All the staff are very helpful and the bridal party's accommodation was very comfortable. All in all a perfect wedding venue.

At South Farm we have thought carefully about how to provide affordable weddings in response to the economic downturn which, we know, is placing many budgets under strain.  Putting on fabulous bespoke weddings is the ultimate dream, but the cost of this can be significant.  With a great deal of time going into marketing and planning our events, on any given wedding day here at South Farm, our team can typically provide couples with well over 200 hours of staff time,  with a significant proportion at overtime rates.

Our offer includes:

  • 60 all day guests
  • A 9 hour programme
  • Civil Ceremony (if required) in your choice of the Old Dairy or the Summer House (excluding registrar’s fees)
  • Sparkling Wine during drinks reception in the Garden or Old Dairy (2 Glasses per person)
  • Three Course Wedding Breakfast in our Tudor Barn followed by Tea/Coffee served in our Old Dairy
  • 30 bottles of House Wine with meal and 1 glass of Sparkling Wine per person for toasts
  • Dance Floor
  • Bacon Butties/ Vegetable Panini served in the evening. (If evening guest number exceeds 10, a finger buffet will be served)
  • Inclusive of VAT at 20%. (Please be aware that prices are subject to any future changes in VAT. The VAT applicable is the rate ruling on the day of Invoice.)

 The price advertised is for 60 guests.  Additional guests will be additional costs
