The most gorgeous venue with the best team

I can’t thank the frogmill enough for the perfect day. Even with lockdowns and a power cut - it was the day we dreamt of. The team worked so hard to make the day as perfect as possible and it was better than we could have expected. The value for money is incredible, the food absolutely delicious and the hotel rooms are ridiculously comfortable and quirky. We can’t stop coming back to stay/enjoy a weekend lunch - and we loved it so much we’re having our post-pandemic (hopefully) celebration there this summer!

Great venue for a wedding

Fantastic venue, this is where we held our wedding. It offers everything you need, all under one roof. Exclusive use of bar, toilets, function room and terrace, so no need to share with people other than your guests.

Honestly? Perfect!

I don't even know where to begin with the team at The Frogmill. They made us feel like family and that made The Frogmill feel like a home from home where our wedding day could play out naturally and authentically.

We attended a wedding fayre only a couple of few weeks after getting engaged; not at all expecting for it to be 'the one'. However, when you pull up to that charming rural setting and walk underneath that stunning light installation in The Mill Room you immediately know you are somewhere special. However, what made the Frogmill truly special to us is the people! Whether it's been when we have bought our families for Sunday lunch during the planning process, the reception team politely reminding me I had left my finance off the room allocations or the housekeeper who came to politely escort a ladybird or two out of my room - every interaction with the team has been first class! The two guys who had looked after us a Sunday lunches were brilliant at calming my nerves pre walking down the aisle, our on the day Co-ordinator didn't bat an eyelid when I asked how good she was with a sewing needle after a dress mishap and the planning team had the patience of a saint with my repeated probably very silly questions.

On the day we had so many people comment on how pretty the venue was but even more people commented about the food! You don't expect to come away from a wedding absolutely stuffed but our guests are still talking about how good the food was. The food service also ran incredibly smoothly, it didn't feel rushed but also didn't eat into our partying time.

Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were always open to our ideas or suggestions.

If you want a venue that you can enjoy before your wedding, have an awesome day and then continue to make special memories in the days/months/years that follow then The Frogmill is it!

Stunning location, beautiful accommodation and amazing food

We had our wedding reception at The Frogmill in May 2024.

It was the first venue we viewed, and no other location we saw could rival it. For us it was the combination of stunning location, beautiful accommodation and amazing food that clinched it – offering equally good options for dietary requirements was important to us, and The Frogmill met these hands down.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Fred and Bea throughout the run-up, creating the celebration we hoped for and brought everything together seamlessly. On the day we were able to fully relax, knowing things were in good hands.

Cosy, rustic and very intimate wedding/wedding reception venue.

Big thank you to Fred, Bea, and the entire team at Frogmill who were fantastic! We went with a Mexican theme and had a lot of unique requests, and safe to say they nailed it. Their communication was spot on throughout the whole process, and they delivered everything perfectly on the day. Couldn’t have asked for more from such a great team. The food was in house, and the team adapted all that they could to accommodate not only some difficult dietary requests but also introduced some quirky and tasty dishes for us! Thank you team at Frogmill!

Perfect wedding venue highly recommend!

We had our Wedding Reception at the Frogmill in March 2024. Would definitely recommend! Fred was our events planner and point of contact, Bea from the events team looked after us on the day. The handover between them was seamless. With the help of Fred & the lovely hotel reception team we reserved every hotel room for the Friday & Saturday night. Fred booked each table in the pub for us on the Friday and Sunday (not a private event as it’s pub, private events I believe are available but in the Snug) which was really special as it’s such a beautiful location and gave us extra time with our guests. The wedding reception itself was fantastic. Special mention to the servers and kitchen - each table was served and cleared quickly & Bea was diligent with the meals for our guests with allergies. The food itself was delicious and large portions. Fred went above and beyond to help us plan the event and accommodate all of our personal touches to make the day our own. Fred and team were on hand to look after our suppliers / cake delivery. Fred/ the Frogmill are pros at hosting weddings and it was reassuring that they were so organised and thought of many things we didn’t and helped us plan the weekend step by step. Despite it being a wedding venue the wedding reception and planning process really felt really personal. We stayed at the Frogmill a couple of times when planning the wedding and for 3 nights of our wedding. The hotel itself is lovely and the breakfast excellent. Their main menu is also 10/10. Thank you to Fred, Bea and the Frogmill!

Perfect place for our dream wedding

When we looked around The Frogmill we instantly knew it was the perfect wedding venue for us. The venue was beautiful and rooms were gorgeous.
Alannah was really professional and was always answered my emails promptly with any questions I had. Despite planning our wedding before and during COVID we were kept updated and informed. I would highly recommend!

October 2021

I want to start by saying that we had the best wedding day and fully thank the Frogmill for the day. They were amazing on the day and couldn’t have asked for better.

However our planning experience was not great - We booked our wedding in March 2020 (just before covid) for October 2021. Upon booking we were told (and had it in writing) we had a ‘wedding planner’ included in our price but that was definitely not the case.
Fortunately we didn’t have to rearrange but our planning experience was definitely not as great because of this. I do truly believe it was purely pandemic related but it did affect our experience overall.
We saw some reviews on social media that they were increasing prices and got in touch - we were told this was not the case. However closer to the time, we were told that our prices for canapés were the ‘old’ prices and therefore we’d have to pay more. In the scale of things, it was a small issue but definitely felt like a blow at the time considering we were trying to plan a wedding with little/no support and having to push to get answers on anything.

Eventually, I did get the ‘whatever happens, happens’ attitude and fortunately the day was amazing

The best day and best venue!

There are no words to describe how pleased we were and how much we enjoyed our wedding at The Frogmill. Alannah and her team made our day beautiful and perfect despite it being in June through Covid restrictions. The care, flexibility, attention to detail and friendly service was fantastic. This venue is something special and unique and after working in weddings at venues for years of my life, I fell in love at first sight. It was the best decision and i wish i could do it all again!

A dream venue and setting

This was just the dream venue! It was honestly the most beautiful setting. We’ve gone back for the last 3 years to celebrate our anniversary, the last time being the actual wedding day last October.
The staff were absolutely amazing on the day, and leading up to it. Extremely helpful and quick to respond when asking any questions.
One teeny hiccup with a room allocation but other than that, if I could, I would do it all over again.
