We booked De Vere Wokefield for our Indian wedding, civil ceremony and evening reception. We fell in love with the venue from the first viewing and we are so happy that we booked it. We were able to make use of all the main rooms which was such a bonus as many venues just off. We booked through Louise who was brilliant from start to finish and the team on the day were amazing. We also organized a pre-wedding private dinner the night before for our family and friends which was AMAZING. The amount of food we got for the price and the service was 10/10. The bridal suite and rooms were also great, all our guests were really happy with them and we were also able to use the grounds for our pictures. Louise was always quick to respond with my 100s of questions and when she was away, the team (Tasha) always stepped in. We felt very supported along the way and our vendors were all very familiar with the venue which really helped. I Would highly recommend getting wedding day coordinators if you are having multiple events/ceremonies and using lots of the rooms. It was the game changer for our day and meant all we had to do was enjoy the way and not worry about a to-do list - we used Array Events for ours and i cannot recommend them enough. I would highly recommend De Vere Wokefield, it was everything we wanted and we even got a lovely personalized gift from the venue after our wedding too which was such a nice touch! -

Wokefield was one of the first venues we looked at. We instantly fell in love with the place. The building, the decor, the outside areas. It was just beautiful. I booked to view the venue back in the August of 2024. We met with Louise and what I loved after then seeing some other venues was, she sat us both down and asked what we were looking for. What we wanted and what we were expecting. Any other venue we went to I just didn't feel like they engaged with us like Louise did. She then showed us round and I think I already knew this was going to be our venue. Just everything about the place was perfect. Once confirmed that was it, we were locked in and ready to go. I cannot fault any of the staff at Wokefield, their professionalism, the friendliness of all the staff, they really do care about you having the perfect day. Nothing was too big or too small for Louise. I would contact her about even the smallest thing, and she always answered with a smile. We did view the venue a couple of times before our big day and even then, I was so excited that this was going to be our venue. The big day rolled around so quickly. We stayed the night before so that we could get all the decorations and other bits at the venue. The day arrived and everyone at Wokefield was just amazing and cannot thank them enough for everything they did. All the decorations were put out exactly how I wanted them, Vanessa suggested that we move the cake into the middle of the room as we had some space, and it was too good to leave in the corner. The whole day just ran so smoothly and even now thinking about the day it just brings a smile to my face. I know we chose the right place to get married. Even down to the smallest details like the room being all ready for us when we got back there after it had ended. There being cake for us to have so that we got to try it and the rose petals on the bed. I will be going back to have afternoon tea just so I can be back at the venue again. Thank you to everyone at Wokefield for making our day so special we were blown away with how much care was put in to our big day. It was literally the perfect day for us. -

De Vere Wokefield Estate Wedding September 2025
I don’t normally write reviews but I wanted to write this because of the outstanding service we received from all of the staff at De Vere Wokefield estate for our wedding in September 2025. The day itself was absolutely perfect and I wouldn’t have changed a single thing about it. Louise was with us from the beginning and to be honest was one of the main reasons we chose De Vere over other venues we had looked at. Louise answered every question, query or request in a professional manner and was very easy to work with. When we got close to the wedding Louise was able to take a lot of the stress and worry away from us which was good because it is a really stressful time. Tasha was also excellent during Louise’s leave period and was able to be up to speed and deal with everything just as efficiently and professionally. All of the staff were brilliant on the day. Vanessa was simply excellent on the day and also her daughter Sophie who took over in the evening. It was because of all the staff that everyone was able to relax and enjoy themselves. I received so much positive feedback from our guests about the hotel and the grounds, quite a few of them live in Reading and could not believe such a beautiful place was so close to them. Amazing venue, Amazing staff. -

Having our wedding at De Vere Wokefield was our dream come true. Tasha and the team went above and beyond at every turn to make our wedding day the day of our dreams, and we thank our lucky stars the stunning venue was available for the best day of our lives. The ambience, the food, the views are all second to none and we truly felt like royalty from our first show round to breakfast the day after the wedding. Thank you to everyone involved, it was truly magical.

Me and my now husband booked our wedding here after visiting the wedding fair and it has honestly been an amazing experience from start to end. Louise Stoodley was our wedding contact and was absolutely lovely. The staff helped us to have the most perfect day of our lives and nothing was too much. The breakfast was divine. A stunning venue for a wedding. -

Me, my husband & my family can not express enough how thankful we are too the De Vere Wokefield Estate Team.
Louise, who helped plan our entire wedding really could not do enough to help us. She has been absolutely amazing - Also; Ivan, Vanessa, Bernadette & Olgar, from helping set up the day before, to being there all day long on our wedding day, we really couldn’t of done it without you all so thank you so much!
Brandon and the team in the Benedict’s Bar at Wokefield place were so helpful throughout our stay, they were all so lovely & kind.
I can’t recommend Wokefield estate enough, absolutely fantastic staff & the venue really speaks for itself. Just breathtaking!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Wokefield Estate for our wedding! From start to finish, Louise and her team went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. They were always happy to accommodate any additional requests we had, showing a commitment to making our wedding as personal and special as possible.
On the big day Vanessa and the team took care of everything, allowing us to relax and enjoy the moment. Their professionalism and friendliness really stood out and made us feel so at ease. The grounds and rooms of Mansion House were also beautiful, and we loved being able to celebrate in such a stunning location!
Overall, the entire process was extremely enjoyable, and we are so glad we chose Wokefield Estate as our wedding venue. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful setting that will offer personalised touches to celebrate their special day!
