Our wedding at Winchester Guildhall
The venue itself is beautiful and definitely didn't disappoint. Also, the food was absolutely delicious and nothing can be faulted there. However, the communication wasn't great. We only heard from the company a handful of times for the 11 months leading up to the wedding. They were very active 2 weeks before the wedding, however. When spending thousands of pounds, you'd like to be able to communicate at any given time. We once waited over a month for a reply to an email. We were also told that time wouldn't be an issue because nobody was booked after us on the day of the wedding. However, the second our meals were finished, the tables were being cleared and the venue was being packed away. We found out there was an event booked right after but we were never told this. We were essentially thrown out in the end. There were a few other little issues too. However, overall, I'd say we are still pleased with the venue. -

"Our Best Day Ever"
A big thank you to your staff for making our wedding our best day ever, everything was perfect from Liz grand entrance on the steps to our stunning photographs throughout the Guildhall and Abbey Gardens.

Best day of my life
I would just like to thank Ian and his staff at the guildhall, for all their hard work and attention to detail for our wedding day.
Nothing was too much trouble for them before the day and on the day.
The vision I had for the room was delivered, the food and service was superb.
I would recomend it to anyone who is looking to get married in winchester.

I just wanted to put pen to paper to say a big thankyou to the staff at The Guildhall for making my daughter's wedding a success, all staff we came in contact with during the day were very professional and obliging - you have a winning team and I will be recommending The Guildhall to everyone if they are looking for a wedding venue in Winchester. -

Wedding Day Thankyou's
Please pass on my thanks to the Manager and staff. Nothing was too much trouble for our reception. The Guildhall has many different rooms to chosoe from and we changed our plans to have our civil ceromony followed by the wedding breakfast in one venue and I cannot fault the whole day. Everything that a girl could wish for! Service and food were excellent - THANK YOU. -

Winchester's Grandest
I really cannot say how over the moon we were with the day. The Guildhall's organisation of the whole occasion was superb and with a choice of rooms to suite your parties size they really fitted our needs. -

The Most Wonderful Day
We got married at Winchester's Guildhall late last year. After searching around the area for venues we found that the rooms withinThe Guildhall to be stunning and decided to have our ceremony in The Mayor's Parlour (very grand), followed by our reception in The Walton Road which has a fabulous balcony where we had our drinks reception with views right across Winchester. The lack of grounds for photographs we thought originally would be a problem but the staff advised us that it was no problem and that being situated right next to Abbey Gardens we could have some great pictures taken there (and they were!)
The location and facilities were second to none and food delicious. We would advise any couple looking for a venue with a difference to try The Guildhall - they wont be disappointed. -

Thank you very much to Andrew and his team. My wedding day was so perfect, I wish I could do it all again.
The newly decorated King Charles Suite made a vey grand setting for our receptipn and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the day - it just went too quickly!
Again, a big thank you and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone. -

Excellent!
Our wedding day was absolutely fabulous. All the staff were helpful and efficient, both before the weding and on the day itself. Even the fire alaram after dessert failed to make a dent on anyones enjoyment. Special thanks were sent to Natasha, Gillian and Glenn and everyone who was there on 3rd December who made our day so special.
