The venue itself is stunning, all of the rooms are divine and the setting is just incredible. As soon as you walk in to the hotel you feel like you’re at home, and are treated impeccably by all staff.
Our wedding day was a dream thanks to The William Cecil and their team of dedicated and friendly staff. Despite some big timing/schedule changes on the day due to our car not arriving to take us to the church and failing to pick us up after the ceremony too to take us back to The William Cecil, the team worked tirelessly to ensure our day still ran as smoothly as possible and went completely above and beyond from the morning until the evening.
I am so grateful to each and every one of the staff at William Cecil, especially our wonderful coordinator on the day, the chef, waiting and bar staff who were all amazing during the entirety of the day. Amy was so super helpful and awesome in the run up to the day, and always made me feel confident and comfortable with my choices everytime I felt a little self conscious about them due to our wedding being slightly untraditional, she always made us feel so comfortable and was always on hand to answer any questions no matter how big or small, we felt so supported by her.
The food, service, and pretty much everything on the day was faultless, our guests were full of compliments, and I would highly recommend this venue for anyone’s wedding, no matter the style. You won’t regret it!

We had booked the William Cecil particularly for the amazing outdoor wedding pavilion. Typically, the morning of our wedding it was torrential rain but the staff were so brilliant in allowing my husband time to make the decision right up until the last minute. Luckily, the rain stopped and the ceremony was absolutely perfect.
Throughout the day, Amy, Jonathan and all the staff were outstanding; they were as brilliant as they were the first time we viewed the venue! Nothing was too much trouble and they made sure the day ran seamlessly.
It really was the perfect day and that was all thanks to the brilliant William Cecil!
A lovely wedding
We held the date mid week as we wanted it on a specific date. It also rained the day we got married, (which was my fear) but because it was so beautifully set up inside - we didn’t really care about the rain at all.
Amy, the wedding planner ensured everything went seamlessly.
The food, the service - particularly Fran who was in charge of the hospitality on the day , all was amazing.
