Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, The Great Tythe Barn is a beautifully restored 17th-century Grade II listed barn that offers the perfect setting for an unforgettable wedding day. Combining historic Cotswold stone charm with modern comforts, the venue provides a stunning and versatile backdrop for celebrations of all sizes.
With onsite accommodation for up to 90 guests, you and your loved ones can enjoy a relaxed wedding experience all in one place. At the centre of the accommodation is the luxurious Tythe House, a manor house sleeping up to 16 guests, complete with a light-filled orangery — ideal for getting ready with your wedding party on the morning of the big day.
Located in Gloucestershire near Tetbury, The Great Tythe Barn is easily accessible from Wiltshire, Bristol, and the surrounding Cotswold towns.
Your Wedding at The Great Tythe Barn
Your day begins with a relaxed morning preparing onsite with your closest friends and family, while our friendly wedding coordinators are on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly.
The barn can host indoor ceremonies for up to 200 guests, or in warmer months you may choose to say your vows outdoors beneath the charming Oak Pavilion.
After your ceremony and confetti moment, guests can enjoy a drinks reception on the beautiful lawn or in the barn’s gallery, with delicious canapés served by one of our trusted catering partners. Our thoughtful layout ensures celebrations flow seamlessly whatever the weather.
Meanwhile, the barn will be transformed for your wedding breakfast. Its flexible layout allows for a variety of seating styles, and many couples choose to enjoy a private first look before inviting guests inside.
Our carefully selected caterers offer a wide range of menu options, from elegant three-course meals to relaxed sharing feasts or BBQ-style dining.
In the evening, The Great Tythe Barn transforms into a lively reception space for up to 350 guests, complete with a stage and wooden dance floor — perfect for bands, DJs, and dancing the night away. Evening food will be served to keep the celebrations going.
At the end of the night, you and your guests can retire to the comfort of the onsite accommodation, including charming cottages, B&B rooms, and the Tythe House.

Beyond gorgeous wedding venue!
One of the things that really drew us to the venue was the ample on-site accommodation, which was perfect for our guests. The team were absolutely incredible on the day with a special shout out to Hannah, our wedding coordinator, who made everything run so smoothly with such a calm, easy-going vibe.
It truly was beyond perfect and we would highly recommend this venue to anyone planning their wedding. Thank you soooo sooo sooo much guys!
Beautiful venue
The venue itself is stunning, with a fantastic layout and plenty of space for guests to relax and enjoy the day. The on-site cottages and B&B rooms were a huge bonus, allowing many of our guests to stay overnight and make the most of the celebrations.
The value for money is exceptional, and the team truly goes above and beyond to help make your day run smoothly. They worked closely with us on timings and logistics, ensuring we could fit everything we wanted into our schedule without feeling rushed.
There are also beautiful grounds that provide the perfect backdrop for private photos with your photographer. Whether you're planning an indoor or outdoor ceremony, the venue offers wonderful options, and the wedding planners are incredibly accommodating and flexible with your choices.

Stunning venue
Absolutely stunning grounds, the staff are just so helpful- happy to answer any queries and always do so in a timely manner which helps with the stress of wedding planning. No question is too silly. Their wedding packages suit most budgets so anyone can have the day they dreamed of. We stayed in the Kiln Cottage and it was beautiful- and so close to the main building that stumbling to bed wasn't a huge effort!

Couldn't have asked for a better venue to get married.
The barn and its surrounding gardens are absolutely stunning. We got married outside on the lawn and it was absolutely spectacular. We had 170 guests and it to a person, all of them complimented the venue to us.
This was the perfect wedding venue and every small detail made this the best day of our lives.
