Established in the 1940's and with over 40 years experience of running weddings, from the moment you see The Belmont Hotel you will know its the one for you.

You will love its Victorian-style charm and welcoming atmosphere , and you will be delighted by all it has to offer to make your wedding day one to remember.

A lovely leafy location in the historical heart of the city, the hotel and New Walk provide a beautiful setting for pictures and togetherness .

Services Offered

Here at the hotel every wedding is different and that is what's special to us. Just because its not in the brochure put forward your idea of your day to us.

We have a range of reccomended supliers that we can suggest to you; such as decorations, photographers, entertainment, makeup artists, wedding cakes, transportaion and more.

Our site head chef has over 10 years of experience working all over the world, he can pretty much cook anything. Chef and his team have put together some mouth watering menus and can create a bespoke menu for your special day.

  • We currently do not allow outside catering or ceremonies without any food & beverage. This is due to our licensing.

Facilities and Capacity

The Belmont hotel has a license for civil ceremonies in each one of its three suites. Meaning you can enjoy your special day all in one place. We can host your ceremony on the following days and times (subject to registrar availability) .

Tuesday - Friday 11:00 am and 15:00 pm. Saturday 11:00 am, 13:00 pm and 15:00 pm. Sunday and Bank Holidays 13:00 pm and 15:00 pm.

Accommodations

The hotel boasts 74 individually designed rooms with their guests' comfort and relaxation in mind. These modern rooms include all the amenities required for a good night’s sleep and stay. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi, TVs, tea/coffee facilities, and more. Our Junior Suites are ideal for newlyweds couples with panoramic views of the New Walk, a coffee machine, mini fridges, dressing gowns & slippers and more. Other rooms include singles, classic doubles, superior doubles, family suites, twins, and executive doubles.

Thank you!

My (now) husband and I, chose The Belmont for our wedding reception a month ago and I can honestly say that The Belmont staff really made our day, the best! Nothing was an issue when planning our wedding and Sian was absolutely wonderful. She was quick to respond to all my questions and queries and myself and my other half, both felt so comfortable with her, as if we were talking to a friend. On the day, the team was incredible. Attentive, friendly, with nothing ever being an issue. Lovely food and atmosphere! We didn't want our day to end. We wish we could have stayed in our room for longer - the bedroom was beautiful, unique and clean. We highly recommend The Belmont for anyone wanting to go, whether it be for breakfast, a special occasion or for their own wedding. Our friends and family really loved it too and made a lot of lovely comments about the hotel. Thank you so so much - words cannot explain what you all did for us on our special day. We look forward to having more special celebrations there! The Sargeants - xx

One Word - Amazing!

We had previously booked another venue for our wedding, but saw a poster with their wedding packages on whilst attending a fair at The Belmont and couldn't believe what good value it was compared to what we already had booked. In fact, it was so good, that we lost our £500 deposit at the first venue, changed to The Belmont and still saved money!
It was definitely a blessing in disguise because we couldn't have hoped for a better venue for our wedding. Our wedding planner/co-ordinator, Caroline, was only ever a phone call or email away and always responded quickly and professionally. It was SO reassuring knowing that we could rely on her. In the lead up to the big day, everything was running so smoothly but on the day itself, we had a very unexpected problem - an evening guest had turned up at the ceremony! We had no meal or place setting for them! At the first opportunity we told Caroline what had happened and she was so calm and reassuring. She arranged for an extra table setting and a meal, complete with name card, which all just seemed to magically appear!
Every member of staff that we encountered at The Belmont was just lovely. We stayed there overnight and the next morning was my new husband's birthday and Caroline had written a card for him, which was a lovely, personal touch. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was all packed up ready for us to take home with us after our breakfast.
In short, the whole day was just how it should be - no stress, full of love, laughter and fun, and we are so grateful to The Belmont and to Caroline in particular for making our day so special.

September Wedding

Nothing was too much for staff at the Belmont.
Any queries were answered promptly during the planning stage. On the day everyone was very professional and each stage was communicated efficiently.
Our guests all expressed how delicious the food was and described the Belmont as a little’Gem’.

Memorable day

From the first phone call to the breakfast the morning after our wedding, we were made to feel welcome and wanted. Sian Keogh, the Wedding & Events Co-ordinator was extremely helpful and accommodating. She assisted all the way through, with arrangements and processes and introduced us to relevant suppliers and services. And on the day David conducted the event seamlessly.
Wedding breakfast and the evening buffet was excellent with a wide variety of choices on the menu. All added up to a lovely and a wonderful day. Made my wife very, very happy, no more than a husband could ask for.

Amazing Day

We had the most amazing day for our wedding. Caroline and the staff were great, Amazing food and hotel rooms are brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend the Belmont Hotel for weddings ! Fantastic ******

Thank you for our special day

We just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your help and support on our wedding day. We had an amazing time and all of your were so helpful to make everything run so smoothly right from the point of booking and up to the big day. Lots of people commented on how great the staff were, so thank you. Caroline, a special thanks, you were great throughout, calm and supportive which was just what was needed. Lovely breakfasts!

Thank you so much for looking after our guests, and us - the newly weds - on our wedding evening. We really appreciated the bar being open so late. Our wedding suite was lovely and the breakfast very much needed the next morning! Many thanks

Wonderful hotel

We had our wedding reception here on 31st July 2009 when the hotel was part way through a renovation. It was absolutely wonderful. The food was incredible and our guests all said what a great hotel we had chosen. Can''t recommend highly enough.

Great location and great venue

Great venue and service. Ideal location, easy to get to from Leicester City Centre, railway station and motorway. Parking for 70 cars too.
