We had our wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast at Sopwell House. their small wedding package covers a great menu, wine and canape selection. Their event planning and staff on ground are all very friendly and helpful, going extra mile to help us with last minute touches in the table stationery and setup. we had a fabulous day and can't thank them enough.

We were so pleased with what Sopwell house had to offer. In the build up to our wedding we had planning meetings in person with a dedicated events planner who was brilliant. The room and grounds were beautiful, and the food was lovely. The day was so well organised and the team did a great job looking after us and our guests.

Sopwell House is a fantastic venue especially for an outside wedding. The grounds are well kept and they have a lovely ornate pond with a bridge over it which makes a fab backdrop for photos. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful from the check in desk to the dining experience. The events team are very professional and do everything possible to make your dream wedding day. They are very accommodating and are more than happy to spend time showing you round the grounds and venues in the lead up to your big day so that you are very familiar with everything. They hand over to the Operations Manager for your wedding day who ensures everything you want is ready for you and your outside suppliers. They can recommend suppliers too if needed. The venue lends itself really well to weddings and has a country, refined air to it though not far from London at all and accessed from main motorways. It was a truly special, magical day and we have wonderful memories.

Sopwell house is the perfect luxury wedding venue. Fantastic food & drink, beautiful grounds, great service & a stunning hotel for guests to stay at and enjoy.

Samantha was professional and helpful the entire process - from signing our contract to helping with suppliers and organisation. Bobby was also amazing. The day run so smoothly despite a very last minute handover and did everything in his power to make the day perfect. All our guests have commented on what a fantastic it was. The food and drink was great and all the staff were friendly.

Ellie and all of the team were fantastic from start to finish and made the planning process so easy and stress free, especially when we only had 10 weeks to plan the wedding. The food was the best wedding food we have ever tasted no one went away hungry! We truly had a very special day and this couldn't have been made possible without the great staff at the hotel.

Sopwell House is a beautiful venue for a wedding. The grounds are stunning and look amazing in wedding photos. We got married in November (we were lucky with the weather) but even in autumn, the photos look great.
All staff are lovely and are very helpful with any enquiries. Shout out to our wedding co-ordinator Samantha, we were planning our wedding during covid (which wasn't easy with all the uncertainty!) but she was very flexible and patient, always happy
to help and handled any enquires asap.

Event rooms are spacious - we used the Mount Batton suite for our ceremony and then the St Alban suite for our reception. The St Alban suite can be tailored to suit all sizes using partitions for smaller weddings. We had 120 people in total using all the event space - definitely plenty of room for tables, Dj & dance floor with room to spare.
The food is amazing, lots of options for different tastes, even for fussy eaters there's lots of options/flexibility with choices.
I think you typically get the bar area in the foyer dedicated to your event when you book the St Alban suite. This was a really nice area for canapés/for people to talk away from loud music. We also put our magic mirror photobooth, reception food spread, sweet table and guest books out here.

Booking a room/bridal suite the night before is a great idea as you can use that room for the morning of. Rooms are spacious and beds are very comfy. They can bring breakfast to your room for the entire bridal party if ordered, which was really appreciated, as I don't think we would've eaten otherwise!

Overall, we had the best day. There's always stresses leading up to the wedding, but on the day, none of that matters and everything came together so well. A massive thank you to everyone at Sopwell for making that possible!

We had never heard of Sopwell House before but we wanted to do fireworks and this venue came up in the Google search.

We went for a viewing and fell in love with the venue instantly. The staff were so professional which assured us that this was the right venue for us.

Shanine, Mandy, Tony, Danilo, Mattia & Luca were especially helpful even when I had last minute requests. They went over and beyond what they needed to do which resulted in our wedding being absolutely perfect.

I would recommend Sopwell House as a wedding venue to anyone.

I just wanted to say thank you for the beautiful wedding you organised, everything went perfectly and everyone was so pleased and happy (they’re still talking about it!).
It was really the perfect day, perfect weather, food (one of the guests who had the vegetarian dish said that she would lick the plate if she could), buffet was lovely and almost all the cheese was gone by the end of the evening.

Thank you we had such an amazing evening. The team on the day and night were excellent and there were so many hidden touches that really set the day off. I’ll list some of the amazing thing the team did (although I know they were doing so much more behind the scenes):

Made sure Rachel and I had water and food during photos! This was really appreciated.
Reacted to a couple of last minute changes to the timings, and nothing was too much for them.
Laid out cake and cheese and it was presented so beautifully.
Liaised with our guests and everyone I spoke to said how amazing the team had looked after us all from start to finish.
Looked after the bands and photographer so well.
Hidden touches to our room with the bottle of champagne and the balloon. We weren’t expecting that it was a lovely touch.

I could write a huge list about how amazing they all were and how much fun we had but to put it simply, the team were awesome.

Working as Head of Events myself I really appreciate good service and was completely blown away by everyone's hard work and effort to go above and beyond to give me and Dan the most perfect day.

You have honestly been amazing and we couldn't have asked for more! All of our guests commented on how great the service and food was.

There was one lady in particular who was absolutely amazing - she made all of our guests feel at ease and went out of her way when one of our guests needed something from the shop to make sure that they got this. I did tell her on the day how amazing I thought she was.
