Fantastic wedding day

Jacquelyn and the team were great and created the wedding we asked for.
They were open to anything we asked flexible when we adjusted our plans
They took all the stress away in organising a wedding. We did this from 300 miles away with no issues.
On the day all the Penventon staff were super friendly and made our guests feel welcome.
I would totally recommend the Penventon to any couples planning to get married in Cornwall
We loved having breakfast with our guests in a separate room the day after.

Another perfect reception at the Penventon

My son got married on saturday and we had the reception at the Penventon. From the very start with Nigel, Emily & David at reception the day was perfect. Ian & his team provided top service, the meal was very tasty and piping hot and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed the night in a spotlessly clean room and very comfortable bed and the breakfast was very good, some stayed on for a swim and we left the hotel very chilled.
I have attended several functions & receptions at the Penventon and not had a bad one yet !!!
Many thanks to David & Paola Pascoe and all the staff for helping to make our family's day very special.

The day and evening functions were faultless.

Our daughter got married on the 27th August and had her reception at Penventon for 133 guests in the day and 250 in the evening, 28 years to the day since our own wedding there. The day and evening functions were faultless. Thank you to Ian. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Thanks to Nigel for organising all the accommodation and sorting suitable rooms for 2 of our disabled guests.The rooms were amazing, plenty of space and spotless. It is an ideal venue for any occasion and would definitely recommend it.

helping to make our day so special

We had our reception here on the 18th June 2016 and were absolutely blown away by everything. The food and service were amazing, every member of staff was so helpful, we could not fault a thing. Ian & Amy are just brilliant. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and kept saying how great everything was. We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel and it was lovely, our room was comfy and again the staff were great. Nothing was too much trouble, all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend the Penventon Park Hotel for anyone considering function venues or even just a break away, we will most definately be returning. Thank you all so much for helping to make our day so special.

Very well managed Wedding Reception

Very well managed Wedding Reception, Being with a large party of guests the event appeared to go smoothly from start to finish. Enjoyable "Wedding Breakfast ", and loved the local produce on offer for the regular Hotel Breakfast the next morning . The staff were friendly and nothing seemed to be to much trouble

I stayed two nights the rooms were clean and tidy the breakfast was amazing the staff were very helpful and polite Amy the wedding planner and Ian were great thanks for your help on our special day would highly recommend the venue for a wedding or just to stay overnight

wonderful stay for a family wedding

We stayed 2 × nights for a wedding, dinner on the first night in the hotel restaurant was fabulous and great value. Three courses were £27 which seemed very reasonable for the quality food and service. The wedding we attended on the Saturday was wonderful and staff went above and beyond to ensure the day went smoothly.

Special mention to Bruce the barman in the gin bar, a credit to your hotel. We shall be returning soon.

Room Tip: room 17 is very quirky

Full wedding package

My partner and I have been together for Twelve Years so decided it was time to tie the knot.We have lived down in Cornwall for over Twelve years here in Redruth or close by so The Penventon seemed to be the best place for the Wedding and boy did we make the right choice.Right from the start when we had the first meeting with Nigel we knew all would go well,he could not have been more helpful with my partner's demands and was always there to contact by phone or face to face.Nigel,the rooms manager was also very helpful as we needed to book 12 rooms for guests coming down from up Country and not one off them had cause to complain and all said they could not find any fault. All the staff could not have done anymore to make us and all our Guests feel welcome.
The food at the reception was second to none and again everyone there had plenty and had no complaints.
To sum it up,if you have decided to have your Wedding at the Penventon I really don't think you will be disapointed.
Ps. If you have a meal in the Resturant any time then don't miss out on their Cheese Board it is to die for.

Our Wedding

When we first arrived at The Penventon Park Hotel,on a very busy New Years Day, lunch service in full flow and with a request for help for our possible wedding venue, we were greeted by Nigel,(the Hotels charming Reception Manager) with an exceptional, warm welcome, was taken on a tour of the hotel and its excellent bedrooms, was invited to a glass of wine and given more time and attention than I am sure they could really spare. Though they were always very busy during our wedding weekend and the weeks leading up to it, we felt as though we were the only people in the Hotel! In planning a wedding from Oxford, we were tentative about the stress of being so far away but were soon encouraged by Louise,(the Hotels remarkable wedding coordinator) not to worry, she would help us every step of the way. It was evident we had stumbled across something special! She did SO much more than this. Nothing was too much trouble, for Louise, Nigel or anyone.

Paul (the Hotels charismatic General Manager) ran through our hopes for our wedding day, spending a whole evening in busy scribbling and endless amazing suggestions to make our day.....ours.
Suffice to say, our wedding day has now come and gone (we married there on 29th March,2013) but the magic that was created at the hotel by every one of its warm, professional and dedicated staff, from bar to bedrooms, Spa to superb waiting staff, will be recalled with tremendous gratitude, with the fondest of memories that touched each one of our guests, friends and family, young and old, and as a unexpected finishing touch on our 'Happily Ever After' forever. Somehow, 'Thank you' seems such an inadequate word.

Amazing Wedding Venue

My husband and i got married at The Penventon 07/06/13, and only have amazing things to say about this hotel and their staff.
The hotel itself is a beautiful venue and the wedding package they offer is outstanding.The food at The Penventon is exquisite.
The staff are polite and professional with special mentions to Mandy on reception who patiently assisted us organising rooms and offered a friendly welcome everytime .
Nigel for his help and friendly manner everytime we went in , nothing was ever too much trouble.
Harriet for making sure all our guests were happy and full and of course Louise the best wedding planner i could ever recommend, who's advice and patience was second to none.
Her calming influence kept me together on the day all this whilst organising the staff , bridal party, groomsmen, preparing the rooms, and ensuring the groom didn't do a runner!!!!!!
This is a stunning place to get married or hold any other function and i would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Our Amazing Wedding Day

We would like to give a big thank you Amy Butler and all the staff at the Penventon Park Hotel for making our special occasion an absolutely amazing day. From day one to the final day, Amy has been there every step of the way to make our wedding day just perfect. I would highly recommend Amy and this venue.

A truly memorable wedding day

On the day, we arrived rather windswept but were able to take some fabulous photographs in the main entrance; alongside the Christmas tree in the foyer and on the lovely staircase. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and our welcome drinks were brought to us while we sat in the lounge choosing our food. We were shown to a lovely table and were served with an amazing lunch. The food was superb and unlike the wedding we had initially planned, we were able to choose anything from their varied menu which kept everyone very happy.

A man wearing an anorak came rushing over to our table during lunch to congratulate us and our puzzled expression led him to explain he was the proprietor (David Pascoe) and he'd just arrived and heard we were here and he wanted to come and wish us well - another nice touch!

Our cake had been delivered and was presented to us with our coffee in the lounge area. The wedding co-ordinator came out and offered to stage some wedding photos for us, using the amazing furniture and took the photos for us.


We checked into out room after lunch and had been upgraded to a suite... the room was amazing, a huge four-poster bed, full length mirror, patio doors out into the garden, an air-mat bath (jacuzzi), spotlessly clean and welcoming.


In the morning we were warmly greeted and they asked how our first morning as husband and wife was. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order, we both had an omelette and it was excellent.
I cannot thank the Penventon enough for making us feel like royalty. ALL the staff were brilliant and made us feel like the only guests and VIP guests at that.

A truly amazing Wedding Day.

It is with Heart felt thanks that we post on this page, to say a MASSIVE, MASSIVE, MASSIVE, thank you to you all, for what can only be described as a truly amazing Wedding Day.

Several people commented & complimented on how wonderful the Food was & how helpful & attentive the Staff were throughout the whole day, along with how Downton-esque the Hotel looked & performed as a Wedding Venue.

Please all be exceptionally proud in what you all & the Hotel achieved on the 29th October, as it was greatly appreciated, not only by myself & Amanda, but by everybody how attended during the day & evening.

An Amazing Wedding

I cannot thank Amy Butler enough for making our dream day become a reality. She couldn't of been more helpful, more efficient and was always available to come up with suggestions and guidance.
I wanted lots of personal touches and had specific ideas to create a unique day which would reflect on 'us'. Amy would say 'we can have and do anything you wish' and she was true to her word to the very end.
Amy was with me for the entire journey from the planning, meetings and preparations to the actual day where her smiley face came up to check on the bride and her party. She took control being a brilliant 'master of ceremonies' for the day, managing her team perfectly through breakfast till the end at midnight. We just can't thank her enough for all her hard work and genuine kindness... she brought customer service to a new level...brilliant!!

The ceremony went like a dream; then the pimms and canapes were perfect outside in the sun on their beautiful grounds; then our wedding breakfast which we chose the menu for.

All our guests have commented on how amazing the food was, large portions of the highest standard of delicious food, how the team offered them more helpings, they couldn’t of been more attentive to each individual guest. FABULOUS!! The breakfast went like clockwork, the timings were perfect so there were no lulls waiting for our next course or plates to be cleared... amazing really.
The food is always a talking point for guests and can probably make or break their experience of their day... and for ours it was a huge hit!! We know the standards of food at the Penventon are high but to achieve this for such a large number of guests was an achievement!

Wedding and Reception

We held our wedding and reception at The Penventon. Ian Croucher, the Events Manager, could not have been more helpful. He was with us through all the planning, and there with us all through our wedding day as Master of Ceremonies. The hotel is a great venue for a wedding.The hotel provides everything you need for your special day, flowers for the tables, a gorgeous archway, red carpet, a lovely antique table and chairs for signing the register. We had an old fashioned buffet and wine for our reception and the food was wonderful as was the wine. This was all fantastic, but it was the little touches that we noticed such as Ian coming to our room to get our room decorations, table favours etc and sorting them all out, calming my nerves just before the ceremony; all the things you worry about as a bride! An ideal wedding venue with great decor and furniture; creating great photo opportunities and also lovely outside grounds which are great for weddings. Highly recommended!

I have the privilege of helping couples bring their wedding vision to life, from the very first enquiry right through to their special day. Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a grand reception, I'm here to guide you every step of the way and make the planning process as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

What I love most about my role is getting to know each couple and creating a day that truly reflects them. No two weddings are ever the same, and it's a wonderful feeling seeing months (or sometimes years!) of planning come together into unforgettable memories.

With a background in events and hospitality, I understand that it's often the little details that make the biggest difference. My aim is always to provide friendly, honest support and ensure you feel confident and excited throughout your wedding journey.
