Micklefield Hall – An Exquisite Country Venue for Unforgettable Weddings
Nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside, just 25 miles from central London, Micklefield Hall is a stunning 16th-century country estate offering a luxurious and exclusive setting for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. The beautifully restored Grade II listed barn, elegant Georgian hall, and 350 acres of rolling parkland provide a perfect blend of historic charm and modern sophistication.
With its traditional oak-framed barn, a romantic pond ceremony area and extensive landscaped gardens, Micklefield Hall offers a seamless, full-service experience. There is capacity for up to 200 guests, with three licenced civil ceremony areas and a list of exclusive caterers.
Easily accessible from the M25 and Rickmansworth & Chorleywood train station, serviced by TfL and Chiltern railways, there are over 50 car parking spaces on site and for those who would like to stay after the wedding, there are 6 double en-suite bedrooms on site and one shepherd's hut. Stays in both accomodation options is followed by breakfast in our breakfast room; the perfect place to debrief after the night before!

Our venue hire price includes:
- Exclusive use for the whole day.
- Included items: all chairs, tables, ceremony/reception/wedding breakfast set up and breakdown, stage, pin spotlights & white uplighters, disco ball, stage sound system, PA system for speeches, microphones, dancefloor, staffing, cleaning, easel for welcome sign, dedicated event manager, baskets for confetti, reserved signs, use of the bridal suite and the groom's room and free parking.
- Civil ceremonies (up to 3 hours) start at £4000 + VAT (depending on day/month/year).
- Full day weddings (8am-11.30pm) start at £5750 + VAT (depending on day/month/year).

We also really wanted somewhere with picturesque gardens as we both love beautiful flowers!
We looked at one other venue afterward that we had already booked a visit to before visiting Micklefield, and it just didn’t even compare!
We couldn’t believe we found a barn venue that ALSO has the most stunning gardens!

Best venue for March wedding
Our only “con” is that prizes are not including VAT; it can be a bit of a surprise if you don’t check it but a lot of providers do it this way and that they have set caterers so choices are limited

Meet the team
Tom grew up at Micklefield. He gained experience in the business from a young age helping at events doing everything from picking up litter to running the bar. After university, Tom worked in London as a Strategy Consultant at Accenture and subsequently selling Mews houses in the West End. Tom is now back in the family business full time, running events and implementing new ideas to develop the business for the future.
Anna & Jamie have been holding weddings and events at Micklefield Hall for over 21 years. Renovating the Great Barn was always their ambition, and this has proven to be very popular since it was completed in October 2014. Their philosophy is to work with the best people and the best suppliers (who all care as much as they do) to ensure that every bride’s wedding day lives up to her expectations and every celebration is executed with style. And they STILL love seeing those smiling faces on wedding days.
