The staff at Crathorne Hall are absolutely wonderful. We have heard that from almost every single wedding guest who came for or stayed at the wedding. This has also been our experience the whole way through the wedding planning process. From the first wedding event we attended (where I got lost and Elle kindly noticed and pointed me in the right direction) to a couple of days after the wedding when we called by to pick up some bits we had forgotten at the hotel.

They made every moment leading up to our big day special. The menu tasting was wonderful and really gave you a sense of how the wedding breakfast would go. Aurora, our wedding coordinator, was so detail-oriented that the day ran so incredibly smoothly that most of the guests commented on it! Alan, the MC on the day, was absolutely wonderful. He somehow managed to corral all of the guests efficiently and professionally, but also in a way that they didn't feel hurried.

As I say, everyone at the hotel involved in every step is wonderful. Hannah, Emma and Olivia on reception are so welcoming. Gloria is so cheerful and thoughtful, and had some special canapes kept by especially for us, so we didn't miss out. She also made sure those with dietary requirements or who didn't want prosecco had things they wanted to eat and drink with the canapes which was really thoughtful.

That does really sum up how you are treated at Crathorne. They are incredibly thoughtful and pay attention to the smallest details. For breakfast they had put out some of the large wedding tables in the breakfast room so we could mix on tables for breakfast the day before and after the wedding meaning nobody felt left out and it was really precious time to catch up with people we didn't get to speak to as much as we would have liked to on the day. Bewoh was on the breakfasts and was absolutely wonderful with all of the guests and dealing with all the many dietary requirements! Early on the morning of the wedding, the tables had been set out slightly incorrectly. I went to find Aurora in the next room, and she had already noticed it and was on it.

When I was coming downstairs in my dress, not knowing there were still guests in the hotel, Byron quickly ushered me into the dining room and kept an eye out until they were gone. Martin, knowing we probably hadn't had a drink since breakfast, brought my dad and me a glass of water before the church without being asked, which is exactly what we needed! When we got back, Alan and other staff ushered people around to the garden for photographs and the confetti shot and had everything organised perfectly, it all ran exactly to time! Having been to many weddings, and knowing how hard it is to keep everything on time, I was not expecting this in the least. Whilst we were in the church, the hotel had set out the lawn games we brought, photo tables, confetti, and so many other things without the least bit of direction from us, and it was all perfect.

The food was incredible! I've never been to a wedding where the wedding breakfast is exactly the same quality as the restaurant food. Everyone's dietary requirements were taken into account perfectly, and everyone with dietary requirements was really impressed that the correct food was placed in front of them without the need to check who it was for. Gilmar is brilliant and made sure everyone had wine with a smile and was incredibly efficient. Everything flowed seamlessly from the food, to the speeches, to the cake cutting, first dance and more. We were really impressed that they set out the cake on the dancefloor and had everyone gather for that, as often this is missed at many weddings.

I can not stress how much stress the Crathorne Team took away from us. It really was the most perfect day.

The lovely Aurora was so great at all of the finer details, really quick responses were so appreciated in the lead up to the wedding as we live so far away from the venue. We booked our wedding at Crathorne Hall on quite short notice (2 months!) and from the beginning they were fantastic. I sent an enquiry email which they responded to on the same day, they sent over loads of helpful information and pricing for us to look at. Stacey was our wedding planner and she was just absolutely amazing, from the first email she went above and beyond to make sure our day went ahead on short notice and was exactly how we wanted it. Any questions we had she answered promptly, and she was helpful with making suggestions. The communication was first class, and I can’t put into words how friendly, attentive and reliable every single staff member was that was involved in the wedding.

On the wedding day we were assigned a toastmaster, Alan, who essentially organised the full day, told us where we needed to be and when, and made sure everything went smoothly. Alan also announced us for the first time as a married couple, the cutting of the cake and first dance etc. Alan was fantastic he really made the day feel so relaxed, made us feel at ease and made sure everything went perfectly as planned. He was a lovely guy who we are thankful was part of our day, we received a number of comments from guests and family about how professional and helpful he was on the day.

We stayed overnight after the wedding and again, the staff were just amazing in ensuring we had the perfect stay, they were so helpful and friendly.

Another thing we were taken aback by is the value for money and how decently priced our day was for everything we got!

I can’t recommend this venue enough, it’s absolutely stunning in beautiful scenery, and the staff went above and beyond for us at every stage of planning the wedding, and the day itself.

We just got married here last week, and while the memory is fresh I wanted to write a review of Crathorne Hall - booking Crathorne Hall as our wedding venue has been the BEST decision we have made in this entire wedding planning process. What sets Crathorne Hall apart from the rest is their staff. We have been to a good handful of wedding venues, and have encountered many different service staff.

Crathorne Hall immediately stood out to us as a friendly, warm place and that is one of the reasons we booked it. Sure enough, the staff has been outstanding from start to end. From our wedding coordinator Stacey (a very professional, detail-oriented, warm and lovely lady) to the porter, to the receptionist team, to the waiters and waitresses - everyone is so warm and genuinely such nice people, ready to go above and beyond to help you. The porter for instance kept asking guests if they needed help, and before they could answer would already be taking all their luggages and through doors with warm smiles!
The entire team is personable and made us feel so special on our wedding day - even though they probably witness multiple weddings a month, but they made us feel so special.

Throughout the wedding planning process, every time we needed something out of the ordinary, they were more than happy to help us make it happen where possible. The attitude of everyone at Crathorne Hall is exemplary. The unique essence of Crathorne Hall is that it feels more like a family-run business, and in no way feels corporate.

Yet, the hotel grounds are breathtaking, and the interiors of the halls are absolutely beautiful. There is nothing garish about it. All the interiors are classy and elegant, and again another reason why we chose it. They use neutral colours like white and gold to make it so.

Price wise - GREAT value for money. The cost we paid included 37 rooms which I think is at a great bargain compared to many other Venues we looked at.

The rooms are faultless - beautiful victorian-style rooms. We have had nothing but positive feedback from guests on how comfortable and lush their rooms were.

Food-wise it is not the best food we've tasted, but to be honest coming from a foodie like myself that's ok. Everything else mentioned above more than makes up for it.

All in all - Crathorne Hall is outstanding. We cannot wait to return for future wedding anniversaries!

I simply cannot praise this place enough. The Service and professionalism was absolutely faultless from the start when we booked the Venue. Nicola our Wedding co-ordinator was fantastic and nothing was too much and she made our lives so much easier during the planning stage and on the Wedding day.
Alan who organised things on the day was also brilliant and ensured the day ran smoothly.
The offer for the exclusive package meant that a large chunk of the cost for the day was covered by selling the rooms at the Venue to our guests at a reduced rate (the guests were amazed at the standard of the rooms for this price!). It also made a large Wedding affordable!

We had the most amazing wedding day in June 2021 ! We where still under covid restrictions but crathorne hall still made it extra special and our master of ceremonies Mo was amazing we felt like royalty all day !!

We had the most amazing day for our wedding at Crathorne Hall, not only is the venue itself stunning but the staff are fantastic too. It was everything we could have dreamed of and more. A special mention goes to Krista, our wedding coordinator who has been amazing. The wedding had to be postponed from last year and she has been so kind, understanding and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Also to Mo, who was fantastic and extremely attentive on the day! Everything was easily transferred across from our original date and the team really did help us in what was an upsetting time. The personalised bear that we were given as a gift was just a beautiful touch too. So thank you so much Crathorne Hall. Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone planning a wedding.

Crathorne Hall Hotel went above and beyond to make our day truly amazing, with it being during covid times they allowed us to change our date with no hassle or extra charge, they tried their best to cater to our needs and make things easier for us. They were always quick to respond to queries on the lead up to the wedding and the customer service was just spot on. We dealt mainly with Stacey and she was just great and trust me I ask a lot of questions! The venue itself is beautiful and all the staff were so friendly and bubbly. Mo the toast master/organiser on the day was also brilliant, checked in regularly to make sure things were ok and flowing nicely, he handled everything and left myself and my husband stress free the whole day. He also has a good sense of humour. Our wedding day was better than we could have ever imagined. The outdoor tipi was definitely an added bonus which again was covered by Crathorne themselves without having to say anything just so we could enjoy our day as planned during covid times. Couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough, it was definitely the right choice! Thank you so much for making our day so special.

We booked Crathorne for our wedding after our original venue was unwilling to hold smaller weddings (due to the pandemic). This was the best decision we made! The staff were so helpful throughout the build up to the wedding and the team were willing to be flexible and work around whatever the restrictions would be when the big day came. We finally got married in June (14 months after our original date) and had an amazing day with our nearest and dearest. Despite some restrictions still being in place at that time, the staff made the day feel as normal as possible and we all had a brilliant time. The venue is lovely and quality of the food and drink was excellent. Our wedding planner, Stacey, was so helpful and our toastmaster, Mo, ensured that the whole day went smoothly. We’re looking forward to returning to Crathorne in the future to celebrate our anniversary!

Can we just take this opportunity to say that the day was just fantastic, it was absolutely perfect.
The staff really are a credit to Crathorne and couldn’t have done any more on the day. Your regular suppliers that we used (First Class Wedding Company, LMS Entertainment, Ultimate Wedding DJ) were great to work with and it shows that you have a close working relationship with them.

We have received such wonderful feedback from our guests, and we really wanted it to be a weekend that everyone would enjoy, and it certainly was that! We feel very fortunate to have stumbled across Crathorne in our search for a venue (Chris feels smug as he found it!) and it really was the exclusive yet intimate venue that we dreamed of finding!

My son was married here in August, Everything was fabulous, the staff could not do enough for you, from the minute we arrived on the morning of the wedding until when we left the next day. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb and of course it goes without saying Crathorne Hall itself is just stunning.
