We had our wedding here this year. The venue is beautiful, and the on site accommodation is very modern and very reasonably priced. The communal breakfast area overlooking the lake is a lovely way to debrief the next morning. The team at Capesthorne are very experienced at holding weddings and they can easily answer every question you put to them promptly- Lucy in particular is excellent! The house itself has so much character - our guests loved wandering the grounds whilst we had our photos taken and the ceremony room is beautiful. Theres so many gorgeous spots to take professional pictures. There is a caravan park on site but its not in view of the wedding at all and the gardens and hall are exclusive for the day so it didnt bother us.
The atmosphere felt very relaxed with the team and we didnt feel like we were on a conveyor belt of weddings which was really important to us.
We will be coming back just to stay on site again!

My husband and I chose Capesthorne Hall for our wedding in May 2025 and we couldn’t have chosen better. We fell in love with Capesthorne Hall on our first visit, not only are the hall and grounds absolutely beautiful but the flow of the venue is perfect. We loved that we could use different areas at different times of the day, from the amazing getting ready room, gorgeous ceremony space and dining room to the modern lakeside evening reception.

We also stayed onsite and used the accommodation for a wedding weekend celebration. This was one of the major reasons we chose Capesthorne Hall as it helped us make the most of our celebrations and create amazing memories.

The team are absolutely brilliant, Beth and Lucy are so attentive, helpful and friendly. Lucy helped us set everything up the day before, kept on top of all the details made sure the day ran smoothly. We were in very safe hands who worked so hard to make sure our wedding was so special, doing everything they could for us to have the best day.

The team at Capesthorne Hall were exceptional from start to finish, and in particular our wedding coordinator, Lynn, who did an absolutely amazing job. From the planning stages right through to the wedding day itself, Lynn was organised, calm, and incredibly supportive. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her attention to detail and experience meant we felt completely at ease knowing everything was in safe hands.

On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly. Lynn and the wider team were professional, attentive, and genuinely kind, ensuring that both us and our guests felt completely looked after. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly the day flowed.

My husband and I held our reception at Capesthorne Hall after our wedding in May. We had been quite set on another venue before visiting but quickly decided during our venue visit that Capesthorne was the place for us. We loved that there are so many spaces for different parts of the day which gave an effortless flow. In addition, we were blown away by the organisation, professionalism and knowledge of our wedding coordinator Lynn. Every single query or concern re logistics was quickly answered and a solution provided. We really felt that Lynn and the rest of the Capesthorne team were committed to giving us the most magical day possible. They worked seamlessly with all of our suppliers to a point that my husband and I were able to completely immerse ourselves in enjoying the day rather than feeling like we had to keep an eye on things. We are so glad we chose to have our reception at Capesthorne Hall and couldn't praise the team there highly enough!

Capesthorne Hall was an amazing place for our wedding. We visited many wedding venues, but Capesthorne was the only one that made feel like you weren't on a conveyer belt. We had our hearts set on an outdoor ceremony and the Capesthorne team helped this become a reality. We were given many options on where the ceremony could be held on the grounds, which was difficult, as there a so many beautiful spaces! and a contingency if was raining to put our minds at ease. We used the accommodation of beautiful lodges and apartments for the evening of the Wedding. We self-catered the communal kitchen for our guests which the staff supported us with and we could all then relax, explore the grounds the next day. Lynn, Beth and Lucy were amazing, they were all so responsive and always happy to answer questions we had. I would say that all the staff went above and beyond what you would get from other venues, on the lead up to the wedding and on the day. They all supported out vision and supported us to create the day we wanted, from the big decisions to the tiny touches. I cannot recommend Capesthorne hall and the team enough.

Capesthorne was the perfect venue for our wedding. We had the lakeside marquee and it suited our every need. From viewing the venue right through to our wedding day the staff at Capesthorne were nothing but lovely to us, and it always felt like they had everything under control. There was no need for us to worry. Lucy in particular was always available for us to contact and nothing was too much trouble for her. Our event run so smoothly and it was all down to Lucy and the team. The accommodation at Capesthorne was something that set them apart from other venues and the ability to have the carriage house the night before the wedding made a big difference to our day. We really couldn’t say thank you enough for everything.

Lucy and the team at Capesthorne truly delivered an amazing day for us, but not only on the day, in the two years leading up and after they have been not only incredibly professional, but also delightful to work with. Their attention to detail, from the maintenance of the grounds, the finer details in the set up and in every aspect of how the day ran was second to none. Not only that I was so reassured by how Lucy completely understood our vision for the day, always greeting us if we visited on an open day, and generally being on hand with anything we needed. I would get married at Capesthorne 100000 times if i could, it was just the most magical day, made possible by the most magical people.

We’ve just celebrated our wedding at Capesthorne Hall. I’m admittedly a bit of a control freak but Lynn absolutely put me at ease from the initial viewing, to answering all my erratic questions and executing a gorgeous event on Saturday.

We felt we were in the safest hands and really appreciate team taking all the stress from us on the day. I know there are always things that might not go to quite to plan, and a huge amount of work from so many people that goes into making weddings seem to seamless, but we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

Looking for a perfect wedding venue in Cheshire then look no further. Capesthorne Hall is fabulous. A beautiful family owned, historic hall in pristine and immaculate grounds with lots of perfect photo spots all around - in the grounds, the grand staircase and outside the hall. You can get married here, or just have the reception as our daughter did.

You can choose the old majestic splendour of the Hall (beautiful, roomy, access to the terrace overlooking the lawn) or the Lakeside venue just across the courtyard (modern, contemporary, extremely clean and well kept) in a nice intimate setting for a medium sized wedding party (some other place we looked at were huge). It is a glass conservatory / marquee with a beautiful twinkling ceiling overlooking the grounds.

We chose to use the Hall for the drinks reception and the Lakeside for the wedding breakfast, returning to the Hall for cake cutting and tea / coffee while the Lakeside was rearranged for the evening. It was just perfect, especially for the fickle English weather. The glass windows of the Lakeside give you wonderful views over the lake and gardens.

One cannot fault the attentive staff, both on the day and beforehand - everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Emails were answered quickly and they were always patient, putting your mind at ease and offering suggestions. (We mainly dealt with Lucy who was a true professional.) Our daughter’s wedding felt so important to them and not like a ‘wedding factory’ like some other venues can feel.

The overnight accommodation is nearby beside the lake and is beautiful, used by all the bridal party and has a communal breakfast room for the guests.

We searched for 4 to 5 months looking at almost every Cheshire venue before we found Capesthorne. Save yourself time and don’t hesitate to book - you won’t be disappointed.

We had THE most magical wedding day at the beautiful Capesthorne Hall in Cheshire. We're so pleased we selected it as our venue after looking around half the country! Our guests are still raving about the stunning venue and grounds and the photo opportunities were great, even in October! We found Lynn and her team to be extremely professional, calm and reassuring throughout the process. She was attentive to all our needs, including letting us set up ahead of time, fly flags and lots of pre-meetings and prep. The family were also very generous with affordability and providing lovely flowers!
We had a full-length wedding day including a civil ceremony and mixed cultural wedding. We were able to use all the unique spaces around the house and lakeside for dinner, dancing, children's entertainment, and fireworks! We also stayed in the cottage overnight, which was extremely convenient. We can’t thank you enough, Lynn, for accommodating all of our needs and giving us the most memorable wedding day. We had an amazing wedding day at Capesthorne in August. From the first time we went to visit the venue we knew it was the place we wanted to get married - the house is so impressive and well maintained, the grounds are beautiful and the Lakeside building offers a great space for the evening reception. We were also so impressed by how friendly the team were and willing to answer our questions - we mainly dealt with Lucy initially who was brilliant, and Lynn was our wedding coordinator. In the run up to the day Lynn was great at communicating with us and making us feel reassured that everything was being dealt with (even things we didn't know needed to be planned!) and Lynn also coordinated with our other suppliers to make sure everyone knew where to be and when. We asked lots of questions and Lynn was always really responsive, helpful and professional in her replies. On the day itself Lynn checked in with us throughout the morning of the wedding to make sure everything was set and we were happy. Everything felt calm and really allowed us to focus on enjoying the day and not worrying about any of the logistics. There were also 4/5 staff from Capesthorne around throughout the day to help your guests and make sure things run smoothly. We would definitely recommend Capesthorne Hall to any of our friends and family for their wedding venue! It's the perfect setting for any size of wedding party and you can easily make it your own. We had around 100 guests and used both the main hall and the lakeside suite on the day of our wedding, which offered the mix of the impressive stately hall to wow our guests on arrival with welcome drinks and canapés, then the bright and modern wedding breakfast and dancing location to continue the celebrations into the evening.

Lucy and the team were amazing at coordinating our day. Lucy was our main point of contact, she was so lovely, professional and very organised, she made everything run so smoothly in the run up to the big day and on the day itself.

Our wedding party also stayed in the on site accommodation, which is beautifully decorated and spacious. Our family were very impressed and it was so nice to all wake up the day after and have breakfast together while looking out onto the stunning lake and gardens.

We would 5* recommend Capesthorne Hall as a wedding venue. When my husband and I first visited we knew this was the venue for us. We loved the mix of the stately hall and more modern Lakeside Wing. The grounds are stunning and there are so many great spots for photos!
The events team were fabulous and know exactly what they are doing. We initially met Lucy and later Lynn, both were lovely and very communicative. You could tell the team are very experienced at coordinating weddings and we felt very relaxed during the run up and on the big day itself. They really do go above and beyond and think of everything.
We also used the on-site accommodation which is done up to a high standard and reasonably priced. Our guests loved staying there and it was great to sit by the lake and debrief with everyone in the morning.

Choosing a venue is highly subjective - everyone has their own taste. We were looking for something classically English - a venue that was not only visually stunning but steeped in heritage. Capesthorne Hall is a wonderful example of this - frankly nothing in the area comes close.

The true quality of Capesthorne Hall goes far beyond the wonderful aesthetics. In Lynn we had a wedding coordinator who was highly dedicated, genuine, and capable. Both in preparation for the wedding, and on the day itself, all of the Hall staff were incredibly professional and personable - we could not have asked for better service.

All of our guests have remarked how spectacular the venue was - but even more importantly that they were made to feel very welcome and safe (given the context of COVID). Indeed, Lynn and the team showed great flexibility and understanding throughout the entire process - such compassion meant so much to us when rearranging our date due to the pandemic.

We simply could not recommend Capesthorne Hall highly enough.
