Prested Hall is discreetly hidden down a long drive in 75 acres of parkland, just off the A12 between Chelmsford and Colchester. There’s something truly romantic about this part-moated 15th century manor house and its mature trees, parkland setting, and bridge leading over the moat into the fields beyond. The little gazebo at the end of the bridge offers the perfect backdrop for memorable wedding photos. Wedding couples have exclusive use of the Hall with its 10 lovely bedrooms and new accommodation annexe, staying overnight with their immediate friends and family, The handsome reception areas include an 18th century dining room, a 1930s former ballroom, an elegant large orangery overlooking the moat, and a marquee in summer. The Ballroom, Dining Room, Orangery and Gazebo are all licensed for civil ceremonies. The Dingle, a former chapel in the grounds offers a sumptous bridal suite. Prested is known for its caring staff, great food and relaxed atmosphere. Once the partying is over, Prested couples can re-live the day with their special friends and family over a leisurely breakfast the next morning.

Use of the 60'''' x 40'''' traditional pole marquee properly floored and fully carpeted and use of our licensed Civil Ceremony room
Exclusive use of the entire Hall, including all 10 bedrooms on a B&B basis
The services of a personal wedding co-ordinator available to assist throughout the period from booking onwards, as well as on the day and a Duty Manager on the day

Lovely Venue, Lovely People.We got married at this lovely venue on the 28th of September 2002. i have to say it wasn't as popular in those days for marriage functions as it was just in a developmental stage but i see the feedback from guests is still the same; a wonderful, place to tie the knot!!!! keep it up guys.

Wonderful WeddingDear Emily, A week on. We are off on holiday; however I could not leave the country and not tell you how wonderful I thought you and Prested Hall were last week (24 July). I had my dream day and you were so calm and composed through it all to help make it so. We love the chef too, the food WAS amazing. Delayed but thanks! Our wedding on 2nd May 2009Thanks to Emily and all the staff at Prested, we had a fabulous day which was well organised without fuss or bother to any of the wedding party of guests and which made for a beautiful day enjoyed by all. I would have no hesitation to recommend Prested Hall for any conferences or informal celebrations.
