Set amid beautiful formal gardens and parkland it is difficult to believe that this 18th-century house is just a few miles from Glasgow city centre.Upstairs the luxurious furnishings of this elegant venue will delight you. The stunning Pavilion Library, displaying two El Greco masterpieces, can hold civil ceremonies for up to 75. Guests can then sip champagne as they drift out into the parterre gardens before being seated to dinner in the elegant Dining Room. The grand Entrance Hall links the upstairs’ and downstairs' quarters, and in the basement you will find the fascinating servants’ quarters. This area is perfect for a more informal occasion, when the Servants’ Hall and Edwardian Kitchen Restaurant are transformed for dinner and dancing - a memorable evening in a very special style.Because each room has its own distinctive character, you can be sure of a truly unique experience at Pollok. From 2010 Pollok House also offers the option to have a marquee in the grounds. This exciting new development allows larger weddings of up to 180 guests the chance to host their dream day in a truly magnificent setting.

Stunning gardens, great wedding venueWe got married in September 2010 and got the hottest day of the year. we got married in the Library looking out the open doors to the maze garden. We had a humanist ceremony then went out to the maze garden for champagne and canapes then onto the beautiful gardens for more photos. Great place for a wedding and Julie was on hand to assist with everything - even supplying the petal confetti for guests as we walked out into the gardens.

Beautiful venue, friendly staff, lovely gardensThe sun shone, the venue was beautiful, the staff so helpful and friendly it all made for a perfect and relaxed wedding day. We got married in the stunning library and then moved outside for our champagne drinks reception and double chocolate coated strawberries which were delicious!! The maze garden made for perfect entertainment and the rose petals provided by Julie to shower us with as we walked out to greet our guests were a lovely touch. The dining room looked really gorgeous and all of our guests enjoyed the absolutely delicious food provided. The evenings dancing took place downstairs in the old servants quarters and the restuarant provided the perfect space for our guests who wanted to enjoy a good old catch up away from the noise of the dance floor. All in all the day could not have been more perfect and our wedding photo's are beautiful thanks to the fantastic backdrop of Pollok House and it's gardens. Both Julie and Carol Ann were on had to help and ensured the day went off without a hitch. Would recommend this venue to anybody looking for something a bit different, a truly unique place to get married!!

Perfect Day!We got married in the library overlooked by the famous El Greco Lady in a Fur Wrap. The room was lovely and bright with all the shutters open. We then went through the french doors and into the maze for champagne and canapes and for those interested tours of the house were underway to let people see the house in its full glory. This was followed by a really tasty dinner in the dining room surrounded by the most beautiful paintings and then onwards to the servants quarters for ceilidh time. Pollok house is a truly stunning venue with the most beautiful gardens begging to be explored on the warmer days. Everyone was fantastic and it couldn't have been easier to organise. Thank you Julie and Carole Ann for a wonderful day

Amazing Venue, Food and ExperiencePollok House was everything and more that we'd looked for when sourcing a wedding venue. The house is rustic, while being extremely classy, having amazing photo opps at every corner. The Events manager Julie was amazing throughout the entire process, helping me prepare a 5 meal menu for my fussy family. The personal attention made our wedding an amazing day. Married in the stunning Library, then drinks reception out in the garden, it made for an unforgettable day. Everyone agreed that the food was the best!! The relaxed intimate atmosphere was great. A truely excellent venue!!

Stunning location and friendly staffWe had a autumn wedding in 2009 with the grounds looking stunning in their autumn colours which made for great pictures. Staff were great to work with, very friendly and didn't take a lot of time or effort on our part to arrange everything we wanted, mostly by email and phone which was fantastic and a big help not living near Pollok House. Very child friendly too, the wee ones had great fun in the maze!

An Oustanding VenueEverything about this venue was perfect. Ceremony in library, beautiful intimate room. Whole place is very chic but at same time laid back and relaxed for guests. Photos in beautiful gardens/ drinks on terrace. Also tours available for guests while photos being taken, which guests loved. Dinner at a banquet style table in dining room - looked amazing and guests commented it was different to any wedding they had been to. food/drink all delicious and fresh. Many comments that best wedding food ever! Evening reception downstairs in old servants quarters over two rooms, perfect for those that wanted some respite from dancing and music in order to chat. Julie Rodger was co-ordinator and was amazing. Would do anything to help, very flexible and accommodating, she ensured that the day ran extremely smoothly. Could not fault her. Wedding was just as we had hoped - a relaxed intimate day with our family and friends. In fact most said it was the best wedding they had ever attended! This we believe was made by the venue.

beautiful location, superb venueThe Library is a bright, romantic room for the ceremony. Family and friends are close to the action and its wonderful to open the french windows out to the gardens afterwards for a glass of champagne. Julie Rodgers, the venue organiser, was most accommodating and we had our own music centre and full vegetarian meal. Everyone agreed the food was excellent. Its very picturesque at the back of the house for photos. Everyone had a happy, hassle free, memorable day.
