With breathtaking views across Richmond Park from a stunning Georgian villa, Grade I listed Parkstead House is truly an elegant and romantic setting for your wedding day. Set in a 14 acre estate, this beautifully restored venue offers you the flexibility of accommodating all your guests no matter what the size of your wedding reception. The venue has 2 courtyards, sweeping staircases and balconies which are perfect for wedding photographs. We offer a choice of six stunning rooms for civil ceremonies which can hold between 15 to 100 guests. For your evening reception the majestic Manresa Hall is suitable for dinner dances up to 150 guests or you could even choose a marquee set in the vast grounds for larger numbers. There is also a stylish modern bar for a more informal evening reception. Whether you are looking for a traditional or modern venue - Parkstead House has it all!

Absolutely stunningWe got married in Parkstead House in July this year and I could not recommend this venue highly enough. It is situated in the middle of Roehampton in South West London, which meant that it was easy for both our London guests to get to as well as those flying in to Heathrow and Gatwick. Although it is in London, because it is set right on the edge of Richmond Park, it has truly stunning views that you would struggle to get from a stately home in the country. As well as having plenty of outdoor space (including a sweeping staircase which gave us some amazing photos), one of the reasons we picked Parkstead was because of its beautiful interior rooms. We had our ceremony and dinner in the very grant Manresa Hall, set up an Arabic chill out room in the large room opposite and still had 3 large rooms upstairs we could have used if the weather had been bad. The venue provided a wedding coordinator (in our case the very lovely and very organised Lorraine) who oversaw everything from the moment we booked until the end of party – they made sure we did not have to worry about a thing and could just enjoy the day. If you are looking to have a London wedding but still want plenty of stunning indoor and outdoor space for your guests, this is definitely one to go and see!

a perfect day...It's in a bit of an odd location, in the middle of a university, surrounded by estates, but apart from that the venue is really lovely. The interior is elegant and grand. One side looks over Richmond Park, which gives guests some space to stroll about, and the venue comes with ushers and an event manager. Our event manager, Lorraine, was brilliant - she was very helpful with everything and the whole day went smoothly!

So many of our guest commented on how beautiful the venue was with it’s fabulous rooms and stunning views over Richmond Park. The staff were so attentive on the day and everything ran smoothly. Fabulous venue! We got married at Parkstead House in September 2009, and would recommend it to anyone. Hidden away in the depths of Roehampton lies a fabulous building with amazing views across Richmond Park... Lorraine (our coordinator) was extremely attentive - which must have been hard at times given the million questions and ideas us Brides have in the build up to the big day! We had total flexibility to have our day exactly the way we wanted it and with just over 100 guests it was just perfect! Finally... if you are wondering what food to have, BOB THE HOG gets a big vote from us and all our guests (yum!).Thanks Parkstead for giving us a wedding our guests are still talking about!!

A beautiful venue hidden behind the universityFollowing a number of visits to characterless hotels, I stubbled across this beautiful venue after doing a google search for places to get married in South London. Tucked behind the gates of Roehampton University and not far from dingy student accomodation is a stunning house with all you could wish for in a venue. The staircases inside and outside the house provide excellent photo opportunities and the lawns are perfect for a summer wedding. All in all it was a fantastic place to get married and I would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere a bit different at a reasonable cost!
