Located in Mobberley, the heart of rural Cheshire, Owen House Wedding Barn welcomes you to a family-run venue. Lovingly converted in 2013, the venue and the farm offer couples an exclusive, relaxed, and unique countryside wedding setting.
Facilities and Capacity
Owen House Wedding Barn features various great event spaces, including the main barn, two paddocks with orchards, an outside patio perfect for arrival drinks, gardens with a flower-covered pagoda, and the main event barn. The Wedding Barn can host civil ceremonies in a separate room with fairy lights, accommodating 150 people. It can seat up to 190 for the wedding breakfast and even more for the evening reception. A secret breakout room is connected to the main barn to provide a quiet space for guests to use throughout the night. Fully equipped dressing suites are available for the wedding party's use. The beauty shed includes salon chairs, cloud 9 hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities, a large shower room with complimentary towels, and a Prosecco fridge. In contrast, the Baa-BER shed features table football, a beer fridge, showers, and a barber chair. The venue also has a designated shooting gallery with beautiful backdrops and props, creating a bespoke photographic space for the newlyweds.
Services Offered
We have award-winning caterers to ensure you find the perfect, bespoke menu for your big day. We also have a fully stocked and staffed bar with a large selection of craft spirits, local microbrewery cask ale, American craft lagers, and ales. We also offer the table wine at discounted prices, and the venue bar prices are pub prices. At the night's end, you and your guests can avail of their on-site accommodation, which can sleep up to 45 people. The Birds and The Bees Suite is a luxury cabin built for the newlyweds, The Tens features eight double rooms and two family rooms, and the B&B next to the wedding barn provides spacious rooms with beautiful views of the countryside.

Wedding - 24/3/24
I don't know where to start. Owen House and all their team are just fab! We had the most perfect day and couldn't ask for more. The day felt so personal to us and nothing we asked was too much for the team. Having everything we needed on site made for a seamless day and the separate barn for couples' pictures was so perfectly styled and secluded to give us a few minutes away from the business of our guests!

What a place to get married!
We loved Owen House from the moment we first visited. There’s something about the place that made us both excited and relaxed at once! The interesting, beautiful and varied spaces, the fact it has on-site accommodation, the friendly team – there is nothing not to love! The getting ready rooms gave us the perfect space to prep in and from there the team seamlessly guided us through the most wonderful day. In the run-up they were responsive and helpful, and so we were able to arrive on the day of the wedding knowing everything would run smoothly. From the beautiful ceremony room to the atmospheric Shooting Gallery, there was no space we didn’t love. The drinks tasting was so much fun, and the offering on the day was excellent. We were able to provide some beers from the groom’s home county for the reception drinks, and the set-up for the reception drinks worked so well, with the prosecco cart outside on an unexpectedly sunny autumn day! As with everything at Owen House, it was easy to organise and went perfectly on the day. Being able to have so many of our friends and family stay over really helped make it extra-special. It was so nice to catch up over a bacon butty the next morning, while admiring the cows. Meanwhile the honeymoon suite was the cherry on top – being able to have an outdoor bath, looking out over the green fields with a cup of tea, the morning after our wedding was sheer bliss. Overall, the atmosphere you’re able to create at Owen House is a real winner – warm and welcoming and genuinely homely. The team are absolutely fantastic and it was the perfect setting for the relaxed, fun-filled wedding we wanted – and got!

Absolutely perfect!
We honestly couldn’t recommend this venue enough, from the minute we booked with them, the whole process has been effortless. They took care of all details and made sure our day ran smoothly. We were looked after from start to finish, it was all just perfect!

The Best Day Ever
If you are looking for a wedding venue, you absolutely have to consider Owen House Wedding Barn.
We got married here on 19th August and just had the best day. Everything ran seamlessly, and there was zero stress to the day. Kirsty was incredible, and I do not have the words to express my gratitude for how she handled the whole day. She gave advice where it was needed and really helped us to feel comfortable right at the times we needed it (even if we didn’t know it).
Before the big day I felt like I’d handed everything over to them about 2 months before at our final meeting which really made the whole planning process a dream! The whole team are so laidback and you just naturally fall into that with them because they fill you with confidence that everything is sorted and under control. If anything had gone wrong on the day I didn’t (and still don’t) know about it. The whole day was perfect!
Outside of the team, the venue is obviously stunning with so many unique photo opportunities and you get have your dog there! This was massively important for us and it just made the day extra special. We had so many guests come over and comment on how lovely the venue is too.
Thank you to everyone at Owen House for everything.

The best experience, perfect venue
Owen House Wedding Barn was amazing, ran the day so smoothly, they were so helpful in the planning of our day and were reasonably priced for the area. They were even on hand the next day to aid with the pack up. Honestly would recommend this venue to anyone who is planning there wedding for the most perfect day with rustic charm.

Miracle workers for a magical day!
I cannot recommend this stunning venue and incredible team enough! We postponed our wedding three times thanks to Covid and each time the OHWB Team were amazing, so supportive, positive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble to create the day we had dreamed of for years. They made sure they day ran smoothly with all the special touches all the while invisible in the background. The venue is beautiful, accommodation stunning and the shared breakfast the following morning was so funny for the aftermath debrief! The team at OHWB absolutely MADE our wedding and I whole heartedly would say you cannot go wrong on your day if you have these guys and their divine venue behind you! Enjoy guys!

Beautiful venue with an amazing team
We chose Owen House Wedding Barn for our wedding day after looking at lots of different venues and we’re so delighted that we did. The venue itself is beautiful, well laid out and cared for and had everything we needed - ceremony space, accommodation on site, bridal and groom prep areas. The main things that attracted us to the venue was the thought given to a groom’s area as well as a bridal area so that we could both enjoy getting ready at the venue on the day. The other was the thought given to a wet weather plan.
Most importantly though was the team at Owen House who were absolutely fantastic and supported us through every step (and during the pandemic)! They were kind, approachable, friendly, professional and completely faultless.
Overall, we would definitely recommend Owen House Wedding Barn. The venue is beautiful, the team are amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Thank you to Owen House
We are getting married at Owen House next month after the most disappointing build up and uncertain engagement during covid/lockdown. Owen House have been nothing but helpful and assuring during these crazy times and have done everything they can to move our date, assist with queries, assure us that our day will be just as special even though its nothing like we originally planned. So I just wanted to pop on here and tell them how grateful we are for causing us one less stress and for putting our minds at ease.

Cannot praise the venue and the team enough!!!
We were let down the week before our wedding by the oak tree of peover. We contacted Owens to see if they had availability and could accommodate us. I cannot praise them enough, Dan was straight on the phone to the registrars to help us with the changes to reduce the 28 days notice period so we could legalise the marriage there. He went above and beyond! They got us in and were able to make me feel so at ease and comfortable, reassured me that even though it was last minute everything would still be perfect and it was. Plenty of correspondence to ensure a smooth day, all the staff were exceedingly lovely and helpful. The best bit the venue it is just stunning!!!!!! Its all set up from a photographers perspective and let me tell you, honestly the most beautiful wedding photos were achieved here. The barn gorgeous, the land rover series 1 photography studio (my partners highlight) unexpected and brilliant and the outdoors just breathtaking. If you're considering here as an option for your wedding venue do not hesitate to book, you will not regret it. Thank you so much to all the team that made me feel reassured and relaxed on our wedding day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Perfect day with the most amazing staff!!
My husband Sean and I recently got married during the coronavirus pandemic and the staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the most amazing day. They were so welcoming and friendly and ensured every last detail was perfect. I couldn't reccomend this venue enough. Alongside the brill staff, the venue was beautiful and it turned out to be the magical wedding I had always dreamed of. Thanks to everyone at Owen House - you're amazing.

Brilliant day from start to finish
I attended a friends wedding here in September, during the coronavirus pandemic.
From start to finish the wedding was perfect - my lovely friends getting married were so apprehensive and worried with all the restrictions in place. However, the team at Owen House Wedding Barn put their minds at ease and made the day run as safely and smoothly as possible. Everyone had such an amazing day, especially the bride and groom!
The bride and groom had told me that they had moved their wedding date twice due to all the changing restrictions, but said that Owen House were always so helpful and accommodating.
So thank you to all the team at Owen House for the best day ever!

Amazing Day at an amazing venue
I attended a friend's wedding at Owen House and from start to finish it was absolutely amazing. The venue itself was stunning and set in beautiful countryside and from the moment we arrived the staff were excellent, they were friendly well turned out and couldn't do enough for you! It had a real family atmosphere and everything ran smoothly from the marriage itself (which was inside a beautiful bespoke ceremony room) to the reception which was brilliant. It was one of those days/nights you just didn't want to end.

The Best Day
From the moment we walked in for an open day viewing we instantly knew that we wanted to get married at Owen House. The venue was exactly what we were looking for, a rustic theme but with a polished finish.
There is plenty of on-site accommodation which is comfortable, spacious and a great place to rest your head after a day of celebrating!
Every member of staff that we spoke to during the planning and on the day were incredible, nothing was to much to ask as they just want to make your day as amazing as it should be.
