Nymans Gardens

An outstanding 20th-century garden, set around gothic-style romantic ruins, in beautiful woodland. With panoramic views and an intimate atmosphere, Nymans provides an idyllic setting for your wedding ceremony and reception. Nymans is located in Handcross, West Sussex - around an hour from London, 30 minutes from Brighton and 15 minutes from Gatwick Airport.

We offer small ceremonies in our Loggia and two beautiful locations for a marquee reception for up to 500 guests;

The Pinetum Re-designed after the Great Storm of 1987, with a theatrical horse-shoe of pines focusing on the Messel Temple, the Pinetum contains many unique and rare trees which surround a wild-flower meadow. The panoramic views across the Sussex High Weald extend out unspoilt toward the South Downs creating a picturesque landscape backdrop.

The Main Lawn Surrounded by colourful and scented flower beds, topiary and one of the grandest cedar trees in the country, the intimate atmosphere of the Main Lawn is heightened by the dramatic ruins of Nymans House.
