      Perfect choice for great day.
Speaking from the point of view of a guest at a recent wedding here, I can say that it was one of the most enjoyable and best organised weddings I've been to. The hospitality was outstanding. Pimms and nibbles on arrival was followed by a fabulous meal and wine served in a beautifully decorated marquee. Then to round it all off, a great band and good local beer in the evening, finishing with supper and a wind down round a roaring camp fire. I can't think how it could have been bettered. On top of that you have the beautiful setting and Phil and Jo themselves - the most generous and welcoming hosts you could wish for. My only regret is that I'm already married because I know where I'd go for my wedding if I had the chance again!

The most beautiful venue we have ever seen
From the very first moment we contacted Jo & Phill we were made to feel more welcome than we had ever been. Jo & Phill went above and beyond anything we could have asked for even finding a bouncy castle on the day when the one we booked didn't show up over the 11 months it took to plan our day Jo & Phill were our rock never flustered even when things went wrong we didn't even realise what they had done for us untill the other wedding guests had said how amazing they were. thankyou both for a day that no one will ever forget, Rob & Suzie 26/06/10

      The best is Bidlake!!
Little Bidlake provided the perfect backdrop to our big day. There was ample room on their beautiful lawn for a large Bedouin tent and our 250 guests, who all had a seated meal with us. Organising the wedding could have felt overwhelming, however Phil and Jo Down provided all the support, thought and attention to detail we needed, and they put us instantly at ease. Whilst we decided to use an Iranian caterer from London, they were able to recommend an excellent local company who provided the catering staff. They were also able to provide contacts from photographers to a brilliant band, who got everyone dancing. They even arranged a ram roast on the Sunday, which was expertly cooked by Phil, for our guests. For us, Little Bidlake provided the perfect venue option providing us with the opportunity to have our day exactly as we wanted without the usual constraints of a hotel, but with the support to make it all go smoothly. It goes without saying that it was the best day of our lives, but it was lovely to hear so many guests say it was the best wedding they had been to and some didn''t want to leave!

      The Perfect Country Location
If you are looking for a truely unique wedding venue with a country twist then Little Bidlake Farm is the perfect location. Jo and Phil are very flexible with the running of the day and were such a great help when it came to the organising, providing us with a list of recommended local suppliers, invaluable advice when it came to the finer details and suggesting some quirky extras such as an open fire outside the marquee, bunting, wellies and a hog roast. We wanted to make a whole weekend of our wedding and the farm certainly allows you to do this due to the onsite accommodation which was ideal as much of our family don''t live in the area. The location is simply stunning and you can''t beat the views and clear light which make for some great pictures. As I said, the perfect country venue and the perfect wedding.

A beautiful location for a wedding reception
We completely agree with the review above. We had our reception at Little Bidlake in June 2009. All of guests commented on the wonderful views and the children absolutely loved it. Jo and Phil were very friendly and flexible in helping us get through our big day. We had a fantastic time and we would highly recommend it

The perfect place for a wedding
Little Bidlake is such a special place to get married, we knew it was the place for us instantly. Our wedding in September 2008 was so amazing, and it wouldn''t have been the same anywhere else.Phil and Jo are the perfect, down-to earth hosts, who will do as much or as little of the preparations for your big day as you want them to. The beauty of getting married here, is that you can have a wedding ''weekend'', where friends and family can stay in the self-catering accommodation. That was invaluable for us, especially as we had children, and later we could put them to bed in the cottages and carry on partying just meters away! Our wedding was somewhat alternative in that we had a humanist ceremony in a ''tepee'' tent on the lawn. Little Bidlake is ideal for people who want something a bit different, that just isn''t possible in 95% of venues. You can choose you own marquee, caterers, band, the lot, or simply talk to Jo and she has so many ideas and contacts that she can arrange it for you, if you don''t want to do it all yourself. When we ask our friends what the highlight of our wedding was, the cry is unanimous...the west country pasties!!!
