Excellent venue and service, highly recommended.
We held our wedding reception at the Centre for Life in October 2010, and we were very impressed by the service provided. From our first contact we found the staff helpful and responsive – providing answers to all our queries swiftly and providing a number of options. I’d say flexibility is a key benefit of Life – they listened to what we wanted to do and were able to accommodate our requests without difficulty. On the day itself everything went very smoothly and the staff looked after us all very well, meaning we didn’t have to worry about any of the details, and could just relax and enjoy the day. The food was excellent, the service polite and efficient, ultimately contributing to a wonderful day for us. The team were also very helpful in storing gifts and other things so that we could come and pick them up the next day. Overall we’d thoroughly recommend them – excellent customer service, excellent value for money, and an excellent all round experience. Thank you to all at Life.

Cant praise the staff enough
My husband i and i had our wedding reception here when we married in August 2010 and i cant praise the staff enough. From our initial chat about the food, to all my questions about what we could and couldn't do to the superb service we received on our wedding day i can not fault any of them. The food was excellent and a lot of people commented on this. They allowed us to have a DJ and a band and were very accommodating in letting us sound check and set up before the big day which was very helpful. The main thing for me though was the fact that i really felt that they were all there to make sure we had the best day possible. Our wedding planner was excellent at checking details and re-assuring me and the staff on the day could not do enough for us or our guests, again this didn't go unnoticed and a few guests commented on this. So in summary, great venue, fab food and attentive friendly staff.

Very enjoyable evening
Please can you pass on our thanks to the staff that made our evening one to remember. From the minute we arrived in the afternoon to drop off the cakes to the time we left early Sunday morning. The staff were helpful, cheerful and most of all very willing to accommodative us to make our evening go smoothly. People tend to dwell on the negative so I wanted to make sure that the staff are commended for the hard work they put in that evening. We all enjoyed the evening and have had lots of praise passed onto us for the way they were greeted and treated during the evening by the staff.

Perfect venue for our day
We held our reception here on the 28th of August and from the start of planning right through until the day the staff were brilliant. The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. alot of our guests have said they had a brilliant time and the venue was great. We would definately recommend this venue. Thankyou to everyone at the centre for life for making our day perfect.

Excellent staff, excellent food, an amazing day!
From the start of planning our wedding right through until the wedding day itself, myself and Derek have been very impressed with the staff at this venue.No question or task was too much to ask and staff were flexible and open to our suggestions to make it "the day we wanted" on the budget available. On the day itself we felt incredibly special and well looked after as did our guests.The food was superb and the portions very generous - all of our guests agreed. We had several children at our wedding and the staff catered well for their needs also. Everyone made the comment that it was a fantastic day and that they felt everything was managed well, which it was. If we could do the day again we would, without hesitation, and we would not change a thing! Thank you for such a wonderful day and for a smooth and pain free planning process. We would definitely recommend this venue and would love to go back again ourselves - perhaps for a christening :)!

The best buffet we have ever had!
The staff were excellent, they were attentative, and very hands on ensuring our every need wes being met. They were constantly checking if we required anything and kept us informed throughout the evening. They made us feel very special and our guests commented on this also. The food was delicious and we had a number of comments echoing this!

We would happily recommend this venue!
We were looked after by Paul Edwards, we cannot fault the way Paul looked after us! We both found the food and drinks packages offered very versitile and extremely reasonably priced, we were able to pick and choose exactly what we were looking for and could afford. The facilities offered with the Science Explainer, the Science Displays, and the rink that was there at the time of our Wedding these really set the Centre for Life apart from the other venues! The day went fabulously, the staff couldn't have been more helpful with any of the requirementsof our guests and the quality of the food was fantastic. I would happily recommend the venue for value for money and exceptional customer service given.

Great venue, great food, great staff
We chose this venue for our evening wedding reception and we were absolutely delighted with the whole package. The room is an excellent size with good facilities. The food was excellent and we received many good comments about the selection. The staff were very friendly and more than happy to help with anything we needed. We would recommend this venue without hesitation.

The best possible venue.
Anjanette and I were absolutely delighted with the way our wedding day went at the Centre for Life. We absolutely chose the best possible venue. So many people have remarked on how good the food was and how good the staff were. They done a great job particularly in the final couple of weeks, and we really loved the relaxed and professional way that everything was managed for us on the day. Thank you for doing such a great job, I cannot recommend the staff and venue enough. We were delighted with the service and so pleased we took the unusual choice and used the Centre for Life for our Wedding.

Fantastic Staff!
When we booked the Centre for Life for our wedding, we werent sure what to expect - it certainly rivals the more obvious wedding venues and we felt we''d made the right choice. Everyone was delighted and they all thought the staff were great, very friendly, helpful and organised. We will definitely be recommending The Centre for Life. We know a few people who are getting married the next couple of years who are now considering Life!

Large room, very efficient staff always happy to help!
From the outset, the staff at ‘Life’ were really accommodating and extremely helpful. We called in ‘on spec’ and were tendered to immediately with a bespoke service. Nothing was too much trouble and all of our queries e-mails / telephone calls etc were responded to quickly and efficiently. Being a planner and organizer myself we booked well in advance for our celebrations and staffing changes inevitably took place, however, it was evident that comprehensive handovers were carried out to ensure the customers were not affected at all by this. The staff listened carefully to what we wanted and confirmed everything promptly to ensure our wedding reception ran smoothly and in line with our expectations. The choice of buffets was great, and all of our guests complimented the food provided on the night. The room itself is really big, ideal for large parties. It can be closed off to half the size for smaller gatherings although I would not recommend it if you are looking for a intimate setting due to the high ceilings and space available. The room worked perfectly for our laser show and disco. The dance floor could have been a bit bigger, however, I think this was the size it was to accommodate the number of tables we asked for. What really sells this venue is the service, everyone we came into contact with from the porters, receptionists to the co-ordinator’s could not do enough for us, whether it be sourcing different suppliers or finding some glue when I lost a false nail!! I have been told I can be impatient and a perfectionist so for me to be praising both the speed and quality of service is excellent. I would definitely recommend the Centre for Life as an ideal city centre party venue.

Excellent venue
This was an excellent venue with all the facilities you would need. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Buffet was good.
