Attention to detail
I want to thank everyone at Lainston House for providing an excellent Wedding Reception on Saturday. Everything went like clockwork and our particular thanks to Helen, Abi and Larry for everything they did on the day; please pass on our thanks to them. It was the attention to detail and the helpfulness/friendliness of the staff which stand out in my mind. Also the meal itself, which was described by many guests as the best they had ever tasted. Even the vegetarians remarked how exceptionally good the food was, even though they were deprived of the wonderful beef! The whole day was tremendously successful, starting with a lovely service at St Bartholomew’s. We hired in 17 members of Romsey Choral Society and can recommend them if you ever need to rustle up a choir.

Amazing day
What an amazing day we and all our guests had on 28th April. Lainston House is a stunning location and, combined with St Stephen's church, really helped to make our wedding day something special. It was without doubt the best day of our lives. Thank yous: • The staff were all wonderful - polite, helpful, friendly and smiling. • Larry was a superb master of ceremonies, keeping things moving smoothly on the day so we didn't have to worry about where we were supposed to be or what we should be doing, and a true gent with it. • The kitchen did an incredible job. To deliver food for 79 people on time and of that quality is outstanding. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, not least us as we knew what was coming! • Abi, your calm, helpful guidance throughout was immensely appreciated. Thank you for helping us to make our wedding day what numerous guests have described as 'the best wedding ever'.

Spectacular day
We both wanted to thank you for making our SPECTACULAR day possible. Everything ran as smooth as clockwork, and we loved each and every second. Thanks for the champagne in the room, for the service, for the food, for the toastmaster and for being so welcoming and wonderfully accommodating. We'll cherish these memories for years to come!

Perfect wedding

Fantastic venue

Everything was fantastic! The whole day went amazingly smoothly. Yukiko and I would just like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Abi and all of the staff at Lainston. We've had nothing but positive feedback from our guests - indeed I think we may have given the Japanese guests a bit *too* good an impression of England now - they are going to think all UK hotels are like yours!!! :) All the staff were amazingly kind and thoughtful - the personal service is what really sets you guys apart from anywhere else we've ever stayed. I know that we were holding our wedding at the hotel, but even during our previous stays the warm welcome and remembering of our names by all the staff is what helped us choose Lainston for our wedding venue, and is what will keep us coming back again in the future. We'd love to have our wedding at Lainston every month, but I'm not sure my nerves could take it!! l

Amazing day
I hope you are well. First of all thank you for all you hard work in the run up to the wedding & for meeting all our requests - it has been a pleasure dealing with Abi and also Sarah of course at the start of our dealings. The day went smoothly & we would like to pass on our sincerest thanks to Helen Beak - who was absolutely amazing on the day & also to the toast master Malcolm for ensuring everyone was ushered to the right spot at the right time. The food was delicious & our guests have all commented on how much they enjoyed it - please say thank you to the Chef.

Professional and attentive
The perfect venue for our daughter's wedding on 21 April 2012. The hotel was excellent in every way and the Dawley Barn was perfect for the main reception with character and charm. The organisation of the barn was flexible to our seating requirements. Professional, attentive, polite and friendly service by all staff. Delicious home grown or locally sourced food, perfectly cooked and served. An unforgetable day in a beautiful house and country setting. We always knew we had made the right choice for this very special day. Thank you Abi, Helen, Valerie and all at Lainston.

Special day
Thank you so much for making our wedding so truly special on 25th February. When I got engaged I knew that I had to have my wedding at Lainston House and it was simply amazing! Everyone was blown away by the venue, and food and the pianist was excellent. Just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you did with regards to our wedding. You have been great to work with and have put up with all my questions and mini panics! We had such an amazing day and everything was so wonderful. Stunning
We chose this hotel for my daughters wedding celebration for several reasons: A stunning beautiful setting, a country house hotel with a really nice atmosphere, and a genuine interest from the hotels management in making the event work well. The hotels Dawley Barn function room is ideal and all other acommodation is first class, albeit a shade on the expensive side. Nevertheless it was a very special occasion and therefore worth it.Food provided for the wedding breakfast, catering for 60 or so guests was excellent. And throughout the night the hotels staff worked hard, worked discreetly, and with unfailing courtesy and helpfulness. We certainly appreciated their efforts. And, if youre not there for a wedding the event is managed in a way that ensures guests staying for a quiet weekend or dinner are not disturbed by a boisterous party.For those staying over, an excellent full breakfast was provided in a private dining room, and we were able to finish off our stay with a fascinating demonstration of falconry.We would not hesitate to recommend Lainston House as a wedding venue, or even a luxury weekend away.

A Wonderful Day
Nonetheless - it was a wonderful day. It was very cold out but the sun shone. The Church service was lovely and Lainston House a lovely venue for the reception - we have received many compliments. The service, where good, was none less than excellent and by the time we left the Hotel we were all beginning to feel really at home there. I wished we had booked another day for ourselves as it was all over too quickly. With very best wishes to Abi and the team for all your help, advice and patience!!
