King Charles Hotel

The King Charles Hotel has over 20 years experience in the planning, organisation and running of wedding receptions. Both staff and management will be delighted to be part of your day, giving you help and advice on every aspect. With two rooms licensed for the solemnisation of weddings, we can offer you a small informal service in our Trafalgar Room or a larger more grand affair in our Cavalier Suite. The maximum number of guests depends on your chosen room - we can hold up to 200 guests in our Cavalier Suite and 50 guests in our Trafalgar Room. The ceremony is conducted and organised by a registrar from Medway Register Office but we make the initial booking or enquiry on your behalf. Civil ceremonies can be very simple and pleasant but there are many 'extra' things you can add to make it a truly memorable and personal day. Many people find having the wedding ceremony, reception and accommodation in the same building a very relaxing and enjoyable experience - also cutting down on travel costs/time and minimising weather worries. Several of our rooms are available for either a sit down and evening wedding reception or a more simple evening finger buffet. Summary information

All of our bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, colour satellite television, hairdryers, direct ditelephones, broadband and tea/coffee making facilities. We have a lift, accessible to wheelchairs, to all floors. Our restaurant specialises in traditional French and English cuisine carefully prepared by our international team of chefs. We can cater wedding receptions for up to 250 people. Our buffet and banquet menus are merely suggestions. Our flexibility is almost unlimited. You tell us what you require and we will do our utmost to meet your requests, no matter how simple or complicated. We have a Civil Marriage Licence in our garden, as well as the Cavalier Suite and Trafalgar Suite For that special occasion we have our unique bridal suite complete with Spa Bath or our romantic Four Poster Room.       We would like to say a huge thank you for making or wedding day for us and all our guests one to remember for a long time to come. From start to finish it was brilliant. Since the wedding the amount of people havesaid they have not been to such a great wedding before. Friends are constantly praising the food and service you gave us all.
