Excellent Service
We wanted to write to you to tell you about the excellent service we received from your team at your Horwood House Hotel and conference centre. We were married on the 24th of June; however it was not just the service on the day that was great. We had nearly 50 friends and family who stayed at the hotel between 2 and 5 nights, having travelled from not just the UK, but Ireland, Spain and America. As you can appreciate we were very keen that they would have as pleasant an experience as possible.
We are delighted to say that everyone in our party received the most wonderful experience and customer care from all of the staff there but in particular we would like to point out the following people who excelled, namely Philip Warren-Smith, Kenny Askham, Karen Cattell, Felicity LeRoux and of course your excellent General Manager Lucy Talbot.
Having lived within a couple of miles from the hotel we have been members of the gym for a number of years, and indeed used the hotel for both Beverley and my Companies as venues for meetings and functions. This is great but also means that we are very aware of some of the difficulties the Hotel has been through in recent years, and have been privy to feedback from our Companies when things have not been to the standard expected.
In order to allay any concerns we had, we had a one to one meeting with Lucy some months ago and explained some of our small but important concerns, and our desire that everything should go right, not just for the wedding but also as we had so many guests staying for a number of nights. We had a further meeting with Felicity and Lucy and we were very pleased that they listened and took on-board our feedback, and then delivered a service plus performance. Lucy was particularly helpful in offering solutions to some of our queries and concerns, and was very proactive in dealing with anything that we brought to her attention. Having both been in customer facing business’s all of our careers we do know that a lot of people promise excellence only to disappoint, this was not the case and you should be very proud of your team at Horwood House as they are working extremely hard to go the extra mile.
We will very much look forward to coming back to the Hotel in the future and will be encouraging our Companies to do the same.
