Located in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside and set within the beautiful surroundings of Hatfield Park, where Queen Elizabeth I spent her childhood, this venue offers an idyllic setting for a romantic wedding.

From the moment you enter the park via the long driveway leading to the breathtaking Jacobean House, you will be captivated by the beauty of the place.

The Old Palace, built in 1497, is ideal for large receptions of up to 200 guests, while the more contemporary Riding School is a unique venue for smaller weddings of up to 110.

Both venues are licensed for civil ceremonies and the gardens and park offer many beautiful spots for your wedding photographs.

Our unique venue is combined with acclaimed catering provided by Leith’s. We offer a variety of excellent menus to suit virtually every taste, using the best fresh local produce wherever possible.

However you choose to make, or celebrate, your vows, it is your day and everyone here at Hatfield House will do everything they can to ensure it is the most unforgettable day of your life.

      Wonderful
      We had our wedding for 115 people in The Old Palace at Hatfield House in June. The venue is incredible and very unique and many guests commented on it. The staff were excellent - especially Chris who was there from start to finish on the day looking after our every need - and amazingly, although it is a very old historical building they are very flexible and allowed naked candles and for us to put a photo wall up. Initially I was concerned the main room would feel too spacious with our numbers but I worried needlessly as the size worked perfectly. Acoustics are very good too for the band and DJ. As the room is so beautiful you'll need minimum decoration here but I warn you you will want big flower arrangements! Canapes and food were also excellent.

      Great venue, great staff
      We had our reception in the Old Riding School on the hotest day of the year (31 degrees!). The venue was excellent, the staff were very professional. Food was brilliant and served promptly and efficiently. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
