Lovely Setting and a Perfect Day!
From start to finish nothing was too much trouble for the team at Hall Garth. Exceptional! After visiting numerous venues in the Durham area, there was little doubt of where I wanted my special day. There was a number of deciding factors: * Easily accessible - I had family travelling from all around the country and being located just off the A1 (J59)was ideal. The hotel also offered me 15 rooms at a family and friends disount rate. * Grounds - Cannot believe it is minutes from the A1. Countryside that goes on forever and little novelty touches such as a bridge and old deer hut, perfect for photos. * Flexibilty - I would say use the brochure as a guideline only. I really felt that it was my day and the hotel were willing to cater specifically for my needs and requests. * Function Room - I chose the newer Summerson Suite which has lovely double doors at one end which open out onto the hotel golf course and grounds.The room also has air con which was ideal for my summer wedding. *Facilities - I stayed the night before the wedding and took advantage of the leisure facilities to try and chill out! They have a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and can also offer massages etc in the Beauty Room. The day itself was very well organised.I felt I was in good hands which meant I was actually able to enjoy fully. I think you really need to see the hotel as the brochure does not really do it justice. Give them a call and arrange a showround and Im sure you'll love it aswell!
