One of Scotland's grandest stately homes, located just 19 miles from Aberdeen, Haddo is a wonderful combination of crisp Georgian architecture and sumptuous late Victorian interiors, surrounded by a terrace garden leading to the country park.
Haddo House, originally designed in 1732 by William Adam, is one of the finest examples of the Palladian style in Scotland. With its breathtaking views down the magnificent avenue of lime trees and its homely feel, Haddo is an impressive venue for entertaining.
Haddo's beautiful ecumenical chapel is a very special place in which to hold a religious ceremony for up to 100 guests. The spacious Library, with its cedar and ebony bookcases, is a stunning room to host a civil, religious or humanist ceremony for up to 120 or a sumptous banquet for up to 90. On fine evenings guests may wander from the house to the formal terrace garden and herbaceous borders. The Canadian Hall, a short stroll from the house can accommodate dinners for up to 160 guests and dances for 250.
