To start with, Jen and Connie. Wow what a team. These girls are so accommodating, efficient and ever so caring. Jen even left mid planning to have a baby and come back early to keep in touch with her couples during this very worrying period of COVID. We were hearing nightmare stories about venues charging couples for their wedding and losing out on thousands, couples losing photographers, dates, DJ’s etc, but I can honestly say I didn’t feel any stress throughout the whole period. This is the skill Jen/Connie have. They kept the bride calm in adversity and amongst panic. I never worried Formby Hall doing anything, but honest actions and was informed every few months, what situation you were in, what options were open to us and always asked how we were. All correspondence was met with quick responses, there was always an out of office on if someone was absent, which may seem small but is huge, if you think you are being ignored or have received no response. You know who to contact, which again means a lot when you’re planning such a big personal life event. Jen was aware of our tight budget and at no point did we ever feel like we didn’t belong and should be paying alot more for our wedding. She accommodated our budget and even helped us with a special package and moved our date twice during COVID at no extra charge. Jen, you will never know how much your kind actions have meant to us and the chance you gave us for a beautiful wedding. Jen even ran around the hotel after it was all over to look for our personal champagne glasses, that were collected by the cleaning staff who thought they were the hotels. Again, they could of dismissed this as though oh its just to glasses and left them lost in the hotel, but Jen and the team made every effort to locate them and get them back to me.
What can I say? From the moment I arrived the evening before my wedding, we were given a beautiful room, helped with our bags etc and welcomed with a warm smile. We turned up 30 minutes early for our evening meal… and the effervescent John appeared (from what I believe is a magical little door he has when there is any issue… he pops up! 🤣). He ushered us to the bar area and made sure myself, my sister and my two daughters had drinks and were looked after whist we waited. He also helped me carry wedding bumf back to my room without hesitation and overwhelmed my sister in law, when he took her car keys off her, got his coat and went into the stormy, windy and very rainy car park to find her car, drive it to the reception canopy and helped her put her bags in the car. Above and beyond John, Above and beyond!
During the meal, nothing was too much to ask and we were looked after by the restaurant staff exceptionally well.
We retired early to our lovely room so we could relax and enjoy some peace (and cage my bickering children within 4 walls 😁) and even the little touch of reception calling us about 9:30pm to let me know my wedding favours had been delivered to put my mind at rest was so kind and considerate. Requests for jugs of milk for the children’s hot chocolates were met with “don’t worry, we will make you some hot chocolates for the children” which were brought to our door with a warm smile.
Our wedding day went by In a flash and any little issues you may of had, like my wedding cake being set up in the other wedding room was dealt with smoothly, efficiently and even had my photographer and sister flapping more than me. I was confident it would be sorted and it was. Anne was calm, caring and very attentive. She made every effort to communicate with us every step of the way on the day and even helped me straighten my train and had a dance with my father (she made his day), poor you Anne! 🤣🤣🤣 I genuinely did not have to worry about any aspect of the day and could just focus on having a wonderful time in a fabulous setting. Even the storm tried to dampen the night and caused some issues with our guests ordering drinks, but was resolved and everyone left happy.
We had decided to stay an extra night after our wedding and book an indulgent spa day. From walking down to breakfast, being greeted cheerfully by Tracy and the reception team wishing us many congratulations, to the delicious breakfast (which all of my guests complimented you on), the fabulous massages in the spa. We can honestly say everything was spot on.
I had enjoyed an evening in the restaurant before our wedding, enjoying the buffet style carvery, I had enjoyed out wedding breakfast, again a roast style dinner, which was highly commended by my guests again…
We are incredibly grateful for the incredible kindness and generosity you have all shown as individuals and as a business. Formby Hall has etched a place in our hearts due to the staff. Your staff are truly special and should all be extremely proud of yourselves and eachother. Anyone can run a hotel, but it’s the staff that made us feel welcome, at home and not wanting to leave!

I have tried to think of everything that touched us during our wedding stay and I’m ever so sorry if I have missed anything or anyone off. You all did an incredible job and I hope this reaches you all and your senior Management team. Hopefully you will receive a Christmas bonus as you give the hotel a huge bonus being the amazing assets you all are!

We had our wedding ceremony, our evening for our wedding and we stayed over at the resort. Our Wedding package was great value for money. The staff, the facilities and the venue was amazing.

We had such a perfect day. Our wedding Planner Rebecca was also amazing. Everything she promised us for wedding, she delivered everything we expected. The team she had of staff were also amazing. Louise who guided us both from start to finish for our special day was so nice. She made us feel like we was at home and with her big smile, you knew you was in safe hands.

I can't thank the venue enough for everything they have done, to make our Wedding day perfect. You can look at other venues, but you'll be surprised with yourself, because you won't find a better venue that offers everything you can possibly think off. Formby Hall Golf & Resort ticked all the boxes. It's not just for golfers (like i thought it was). Go to their wedding fayres that they offer and see for yourself.

We had our wedding at Formby Hall on 29th August and the whole day was fabulous. Everything ran perfectly and all of our guests had a wonderful day too. Special praise go to Mathew and all of the team who worked really hard to make sure the wedding day ran smoothly. Mathew was brilliant on the day and is a real credit to Formby Hall. Rebbeca, the wedding co-ordinator was also a real pleasure to work with. She organised everything perfectly and was always very helpful and approachable when we had any questions as we were planning the big day. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding. Lovely, hard working and efficient staff and a lovely venue too. Thanks to everyone involved!

We had our wedding reception at Formby hall in June!! What can I say, we had the best day ever! From the venue to staff it was all amazing! Louise, the lady who looked after us on the day did a brilliant job, nothing was to much trouble! Rebecca the wedding co-ordinatior was great, always getting back to any questions you had and giving advice! The room set up was brilliant, it was just what we imagined! All the waiting on staff did an amazing job, providing a great service during the wedding breakfast and through in to the evening! Jeff the resident Dj, WOW what a job he did! Absolutely amazing! The dance floor was never empty, any request, not a problem! Played something for everyone! He is a lovely guy as well! We had a band as well and they worked great together! Between the two of them as I've said the dance floor was never empty!! Would highly recommend Formby hall as a wedding venue to anyone! We loved it and will never forget our special day!! Massive thanks to everyone at Formby hall!!

I went to look at several venues in the area and whilst they were nice, they didn't have Rebecca (wedding coordinator) who totally put me at ease at our first meeting. Formby Hall itself is stunning. It is modern, sleek and even has the grounds for stunning pictures which was on my tick list. My husband is from Essex so a lot of his family and friends were travelling to Liverpool for the wedding - the bonus was they were able to stay at Formby Hall and not have to worry about transport once they got there.
One of the things that particularly stood out to me and my guests on the day at Formby Hall was the incredible service from the staff and also the food quality. As part of our day, we had canapés and welcome drinks, a full wedding breakfast and then a BBQ in the evening. They do not scrimp on portions and all of our guests commented on how amazing the food was. I was so impressed in how the venue dealt with things such as allergies, food intolerance's and I was even able to modify certain dishes for my guests so they didn't feel like they were missing out despite their allergies.
All in all, we had a fantastic day, the weather was gorgeous, the venue was stunning and Formby Hall itself didn’t disappoint.

We were quickly greeted by a lovely and friendly wedding planner; Rebecca. Who after a brief chat, knew exactly what we wanted and needed! Especially since she had her wedding at Formby Hall too! After viewing 2 available rooms, we realised that we could not have our wedding any where else!
However, we were worried that we wouldn't be able to afford such an amazing venue. When we were told the price for 100 guests, we were in a state of shock- it was exactly the same price as some poor quality venues we had viewed! I was certain Rebecca had missed an extra "0" off the end! After being assured that the price was correct- we booked without hesitation!
We left feeling elated and confident, we could not believe we had such a stunning venue, for such an incredible price! Rebecca assured that everything would be catered for- and it certainly was! Every single staff member is top quality, and are extremely accomodating!
After exchanging several emails, and a few meet ups with our wedding planner (who came with our package), all we had to do was turn up on the day. Everything was organised for us.
On the day everything was decorated perfectly! We paid a tiny bit extra for beautiful curtains as a backdrop, and the tables were set up beautifully, they were exactly what I had in mind, but everything looked even better than we imagined!
Honestly, if anyone is trying to find a wedding venue, definitely pay Formby Hall a visit, the prices are brilliant, especially for what you get! You could not get nicer staff, and the venue itself is just out of this world!

We had our wedding here in October and it could not have gone any better. We didn't realise the amazing weather was part of our package.

The staff, especially Rebecca and Louise looked after us throughout and made sure every need of ours was dealt upon with as little fuss as possible.

The resident DJ - Jeff Wood - was absolutely incredible. I had let him know what kind of music we liked as a couple and it was all remembered and played without us asking. The LOVE signs were amazing and used for our actual ceremony earlier in the day. It was also worth paying extra for the dance floor, kids were all over it all night. I would use Jeff for any future events I have, whether at Formby Hall or not. 5 *****

Also Col the wedding singer from Formby was a god send, helped made me feel at ease before my speech and rallied the guests before hand getting them to sing with him after the meal.

Overall it was a magical day

We had our wedding here in June and what a wedding it was!!! From inception to the actual day was a seamless process due to Rebecca (coord) being unbelievably good at what she does. The organising and attention to detail that was afforded to us was second to none. The day itself was supported by Matt and Andrew who were completely faultless and would would do absolutely anything to make the day run smoothly. We only had positive feedback from our guests, quote "best wedding ever" and this can be totally attributed to all the staffs efforts. I highly recommend Formby Hall and I'm planning a revisit next week as the after sales customer service has continued way after our wedding. Knocked it out of the park!!

We got married here in July 2015 and had an amazing day. All the staff were so helpful and organised everything on the day. The food was to die for and the backdrops for the photographs were fabulous (especially the bridge over the lake) Everybody who stayed over enjoyed the spa, golf and swimming pool. We would definitely recommend!

We had our wedding day here back in July. What a perfect day, but the day was just an end to the whole preparation and planning.
Rebecca and her team are exceptional, they took away all the panic, concerns and questions..and I had a few of those...they understood our requirements and delivered them in a professional manner, but more importantly they made every step of it special nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I got married here in May this year. We attended the open day and I attended the bridal evening with my mum. We met Rebecca (wedding coordinator) who was amazing, very friendly, organised everything we needed, great communication, felt very confident with her helping to plan our big day. Our wedding day was amazing and ran very smoothly, our guests commented how great it was and the day flowed so well. Food was amazing and staff were very kind and professional catering to our every need. A big thanks to Andrew (events coordinator) who helped on the day to organised everyone to ensure everything ran smoothly and updated me regularly especially during the ceremony preparations. My husband and I had our wedding breakfast and evening reception at Formby hall in May 2015. From the first day of viewing the venue which I've loved since I was a child, I knew after showing my husband, he would agree it was the perfect venue. From the moment we booked which was over two and a half years prior to our wedding, the staff welcomed us and did everything they could to make sure the day was planned how we wanted it. We were that sure, we didn't consider any other venue.
Our wedding co-ordinator "Rebecca Webber" was found to be a very organised and professional person, throughout the time we knew Rebecca leading up to our big day Rebecca was in constant contact making sure everything was ok and if we needed any advice. You could email her with and concerns or updates of your day and Rebecca would reply promptly.
As our day fast approached Formby Hall took all the stress of planning the day from us and left us with no worries about things been forgotten.
From the moment we arrived at Formby hall after our wedding the staff at Formby Hall made ourselves and our guests feel very welcome which made the day extra special.
The food was amazing and our guests loved it too, the transformation from wedding breakfast to evening reception was flawless and our guests didn't have to wait long until the room was ready for the evening reception.
Overall all the staff involved in making our day so special, and a day my husband and I and guests will never forget in a hurry.

Well I had this wedding booked for over 18 months. This was when I met rebbeca the wedding planner and she just helped with everything from day one. Any little trouble I had she sorted out and made all my wishes come true. She truly is amazing and when it came down to the big day on 4th september 2015, she was there to see how the day was going and make sure it was going to plan. I can't explain how professional she is but we grew a close relationship along the way and couldn't thank her enough. Also matthew and jake that looked after our wedding a couple of days before and on the big day they were truly amazing these two are a credit to formby hall. They were there for me getting ready till early hours in the morning. Nothing was an issue to them and when I had a couple of issues (nothing to do with formby hall). There were there to fix it and brought the biggest smile on my face! The day went so well I could not thank these three enough for what they did. I will never forget these three as they made my special day amazing. I stayed at formby hall for the two night and everyone treated me like a princess nothing was too hard or too much and my room was amazing. I just want to say a big thank you to everyone for helping and making my wedding the best day of my life. A big thank you again for rebecca matthew and jake. Three truly amazing people.

My husband and I were married at Formby Hall on 01 September 2015 and had the most magical day we could have wished for. We have been regular guests at the hotel and spa for a number of years and it is always a place we choose to spend celebrations and so it seemed only fitting that we would hold our wedding at this venue too. Over the years I had made numerous enquiries with the hotel about booking our special day but had never been entirely satisfied with the attention received from the previous wedding coordinators, that is until I met REBECCA!!! From the bottom of my heart I cannot thank Rebecca enough, from the moment I met her at a busy wedding fayre at formby no question I had went unanswered, no problem or question too big and from then on I had no doubt that I had selected the perfect venue. Rebecca went above and beyond her duties at every opportunity in helping me organise my special day, even to come and see me on the morning of my wedding!! For the last 12 months I have bombarded Rebecca with emails, phone calls and meetings but this was never a problem, I even received replies when she was 'out of the office'. I cannot fault anything about my experience at Formby and the wedding team and not only have I had the most amazing wedding a girl could wish for but I feel that I have also made a friend. I would not hesitate in recommending this venue to any of my friends or family!!

We stayed for two nights last week, during which my hubby and I got hitched. The weather was on our side, but regardless of the weather our wedding day went off without a hitch. Friendly attentive staff, where no request was too much. May I commend Rebecca the wedding coordinator who was meticulous in getting our vision in every tincy detail documented and executed ready for the big day. Our room was decorated and laid out as our specific requirement, and every dietary requirement catered for to a tee (;-P). It is a special thanks that must go to Matt, he was never far away at every moment of the day checking everything was in place, and taking the usual bride and groom worries out of our heads... (including bustling me into the kitchen to hide away from latecomers to the ceremony). He was great and ensured everything was on course (ba-bum-ch). I would not hesitate to recommend Formby hall as a wedding venue as I feel they have it totally nailed. Catering for large groups and following specific demands and layouts is a breeze for them. Staff young and old remained professional and couldnt do enough for my husband and I, and the other 16 guests staying the night before/night of the wedding. Even accomodating a large table in the restaurant with a moments notice. The bridal suite room 129 was a dream, and wouldnt hesitate to stay in that room again.
