There is something truly unique about Fennes. Located in 100 acres of Essex countryside, it has a wonderfully welcoming feel and it is easy to imagine that it could be your own home. It is this that makes Fennes the ideal venue for your wedding day, with over 14 years' experience as a dedicated wedding venue, we have mastered the essence of what makes your special day perfect.
Some parts of the house date back to the 15th century, the majority of the reception rooms are Georgian in style with high ceilings and a very spacious feel. We are able to accommodate smaller, more intimate weddings within this suite of rooms whilst larger wedding parties use these rooms to receive guests before moving through to the Wedding Pavilion.
The Pavilion is lined with beautiful silk featuring chandeliers, wall sconces and a starlight ceiling, The Pavilion also includes a bar area and state-of-the-art sound system and dance floor. Licensed for Civil Ceremonies and overlooking the estate grounds, it makes a perfect setting for a very personal occasion.
The Banqueting Hall is our largest function room and can seat up to 400 guests under its starlight ceiling. A versatile space used for evening receptions, it can also be partitioned for smaller parties.
Father Philip Need, the Dean of Bocking, welcomes couples who wish to discuss the details of their ceremony and will consider most requests.
