Imagine an island off the coast of England accessible by water, air or the ancient Roman causeway known as the 'Strood' - and all within one an a half hours of London!
East Mersea Hall is located on this idyllic island and is a stunning Elizabethan family manor house where an abundance of history combines with relaxed and friendly values to provide the wedding and celebration venue with a difference.
The Hall is fully licensed for all types of Civil Ceremonies and blessings with the choice of either The Old Dining Room or The Terrace Room, and a very unique feature is the close proximity of The Church of St. Edmund which is accessed via private pathways from the house.
In the summer months the wedding reception can take place in the glass fronted Pavilion overlooking the lake which was once a medieval moat. For a winter reception The Terrace Room is transformed and the ambience and warmth of the room combined with the crackling of logs burning on the grand open fireplace creates a truly magical atmosphere.
Whatever the weather the photographic opportunities are abundant - it could be the gardens with the stunning backdrop of the lake, the woodland with the secret pathways or even within the Hall itself with the open fireplaces.
Sarah and David have great pleasure in welcoming you and your guests into their home and they strive to make your day truly memorable.
