31 Aug 2007, Christine & David Springett rated Draycote Hotel

An excellent venue with first class staff, a five star Wedding Organisor & an excellent Master of Ceremonies.
On a dismal, rainy day our daughter was married at the Draycote Hotel. Thanks to the calm efficiency & meticulous preparation provided by the staff the whole event was planned in 4 months & the day went off without a hitch. The Phoenix Suite was swiftly turned from a perfect ceremony room to a comfortable dining room & finally into a great place for the evening disco. The food throughout was excellent & generous in quantity. We were particularly impressed by Sandra, the wedding coordinator, who advised us to reduce the numbers for the evening buffet from the full 60 at the reception to 45 for the evening buffet, as true enough, some guests left early & some didn't eat a lot after such a hearty wedding breakfast. We felt this was a reduction that a lot of venues would not have suggested, but was typical of Sandra's eye for detail & realistic advice. She always returned our calls & both information & help were always available.
Because the weather was so dreadful, we were delighted that we had chosen this venue. The ceremony, wedding breakfast & evening disco could all be held under one roof, but not only that, the hotel rooms, reception area, bar & cloakrooms were under the same roof too, so it was easy to move from one area to another without ever braving the rain. The spiral staircase & balconies provided a great setting for many of the photographs & we were more than happy with what the photographer achieved inside the hotel.
Paul proved to be a first rate Master of Ceremonies. Any minor queries were dealt with immediately & he was always on hand throughout the day.
The room rates were reasonable & the breakfast excellent.
If you're looking for a wedding venue then don't hesitate to contact Sandra Binnion at the Draycote Hotel, you'll find an excellent modern setting at a price which is going to be very hard to beat.
