The perfect venue for our perfect day
From out first meeting with Anna, the wedding coordinator to the day itself we cannot fault Down Hall. Everything we wanted and more was provided by the excellent staff at Down Hall. The venue itself is beautiful and we have spoken to so many of our guests who thought we couldn't have chosen a better place. The question you should be asking yourself isn't should I have my wedding day at Down Hall it is when.

Fantastic day!
We got married on 27th April 2012 and could not have wished for a better day. All the staff were so helpful and polite at Down Hall and the venue is outstanding!! For anyone considering having a wedding here all i can say is DO IT! Thank you for making our day so magnificent x

A wonderful venue for the best day of your life
Michael and I married in down hall on Sunday 22 April 2012 and had the most amazing day. Both the wedding coordinators Anna and Marie were excellent at answering our every question and making sure our every whim was catered for and with the help of andy the toastmaster made sure the day went without a hitch and without Michael or I having to concern ourselves with anything. They even made sure the night before our wedding was made special for myself and my family and friends by catering a private dinner for us. Our wedding day was a truly magical experience in this amazing and most stunning venue.

Fantastic Wedding Venue!!
We had the most amazing wedding at Down Hall Country House Hotel. The whole day was perfect and this was thanks to Anna (wedding coordinator) and Mark (Master of Ceremonies) who ensured everything went to plan. The exterior of Down Hall alone will take your breath away - it's stunning. We went to see a lot of wedding venues and Down Hall was the one that really stood out - everything was so professional and we loved the fact that all our guests could stay over. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are great, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was fantastic. Thank you again to Anna and Mark who made our day really special!

Fantastic venue for a wonderful day
We booked at Down Hall for many reasons. The service we had from the wedding co-ordinator from the moment we walked through the door for the first time was excellent and very professional. The building and grounds are beautiful and there is plenty or room for family and friends to stay in. Anna Oliver and her team made the weeding arrangements at the venue look easy and this allowed us to concentrate on the more fun things like arranging our honeymoon, knowing that the weeding day preparations were in good hands. We had a large number of kids of all ages attending too - they were made very welcome and had plenty to do with lots of games within the gardens. I highly recommend the venue for the perfect wedding day!

Exquisite venue, First class service!
We fell in love with this venue, and all the people that worked there from the first visit and promptly booked our wedding to take place 3 1/2 months later. We had complete confidence in the venue's wedding coordinator and the planning process, thank you Anna we got to our wedding day with no stress just pure excitement. Our wedding took place on 5th February 2012, I woke up in a stunning bedroom to find Down Hall in a beautiful blanket of snow, Magic! Marie and Mark were fantastic, they went over and beyond to ensure our wedding day was perfect, it was! It's so important not just to find an exquisite venue to get married, but also to find the right people that will influence and be a part of your special day. I whole heartedly recommend visiting Down Hall, because it really does have both; The amazing building, grounds and facilities and very professional genuine lovely people that will work to enhance the whole wedding experience.

A fantastic day
When we first saw Down Hall we knew it was the place we wanted to get married in, so the date was booked for 3rd Feb 2012. Anna, Mark and the rest of the staff made our day run very smoothly and without any hitches. All of our guest commented on what a fantastic venue Down Hall is and we couldn't agree more. We had the most amazing day.

Our fairytale wedding
We got married at Downhall on the 2nd April 2011, it was so perfect. Anna, Mark and all the team at Downhall were fantastic they made our day stress free and it ran so smoothly. The Wedding breakfast and service was spot on we or any of our guests couldn't fault it..and we have a fussy bunch ....They still say to this day that it was the best wedding they had been too, and wish all weddings were like that as it was so beautiful there and we totally agree as the venue is absolutely stunning. we looked at loads of venues but nothing compared to Downhall and their staff.... I would definitely recommend it to and future bride and groom to get married there . We wish we could do it all over again as it was the best day of our lives and for my husband to say that it must have been excellent ! ....so a big big thank you to anna and her team. Also the guests that stayed over night said it was well worth it and the breakfast was top notch..... thanks again Mr & Mrs Gudgeon. x

our perfect day
From the moment we arrived at downhall on our wedding day, we were greeted and looked after by all. The guests also had an amazing day and i can honestly say that everything about our day went perfectly. Anna, Marie and mark made sure that all our needs were met and that the guests and ourselves were always happy, nothing was a problem. The hotel is beautiful, inside and out. We still visit it even afte the wedding. The food was fantastic. People say that the details of a wedding is soon forgotten but honestly people are still talking about our wedding all these months later and remembering all the little details and how amazing it was. Worth every penny and more. Just rest assured that everyhing will be taken care of,from the moment you book your wedding and on the big day. I am usually such a worrier but seriously it was the first time ever that i didn't worry, i couldn't beleive it! my husband was releived! Our photo's are gorgeous with the fountain on the grounds and in the rooms that we used. As we say....the perfect day.

The best day of my life
I am very lucky that I can say I would not change a thing about my wedding day! We got married at our local church followed by an amazing reception at Down Hall on Friday 30th December 2011. We looked at so many venues before deciding whole heartedly on Down Hall. The staff were beyond expectations especially Anna and Marie (wedding planners) and Mark the Toastmaster. We could relax and catch up with all the guests knowing that everything was taken care of. The food was really special and our day is still being talked about by everyone who shared it with us. This venue is quintessentially English and the rooms and grounds are beautiful. Mark was really good to have as an expert who was able to calm nerves and direct us well. It was also lovely to be able to have breakfast with some of our close family and friends the following morning. Quite a few guests commented that it was the best wedding they had been to. I could not have asked for anything better.

A memorable day
We married at Down Hall on the 12th November 2011. The setting is amazing and people are still commenting over it.Our Wedding Co-ordinator Anna was very efficient through the whole Wedding planning and was fabulous on the day. Mark our Toast Master, was part of our package and he ensured that everything ran to time (well apart from me being a little late down the aisle but he couldn't control that bit). The food was great and the staff were polite to the guests . The accomodation is lovely and the rooms are a decent size.Thank you Anna and Mark for helping us organise a very memorable day

Best day of our lives
We married at Down Hall on the 5th November 2011. Everything was perfect in every single way. Anna (Down Hall’s wedding co-ordinator) organised the whole day to perfection, she was helpful and friendly during the whole organisation of our wedding. She recommended we walk into the reception room to Bruno Mars, ‘Marry You’, which is now a song that all our guest’s associate with our wedding. Thank you Anna, we love the song ! :-) Mark our Toast Master, was part of our package and the day wouldn’t have run as smoothly without him. He directed the guests in a kind and considerate manor and felt like part of the family. Down Hall is a perfect venue for a wedding. We viewed over 10 and Down Hall ticked all the boxes. There are tremendous picture opportunities inside Down Hall and on the grounds, which is perfect for a winter wedding. The ceremony room is just right for the 100 guests we had, there is no need for decoration as it’s beautiful just as it is. The food also went down extremely well with our guests. Choosing Duck for our main was a little risky but all our guests mentioned how much they loved it, even my dad who is very fussy with food. Thank you Anna and Mark for helping us organise the best day of our lives.
