A dream venue with a fabulous team...
My husband and I had our wedding reception here late September of this year. We looked at many Marquees’ across Derbyshire and none we found compared to this. Upon contacting DCCC regarding hiring this venue I was put in touch with Katie and a friendship began. Katie and her team were more than flexible and willing to help with all my hopes and dreams of a perfect wedding day, nothing was too much for them, including hanging decoration from the Marquee ceiling!! There was a wide choice of food to choose from, they even offered to served me something a little different to everyone else because I had previously mentioned to my partner what I would of rather had something different to him and everyone else. Everyone was impressed with the amount of food served both during the day and the evening buffet, the fact that all meals were hot and served together. There was food left over on the evening buffet due to the portions being generous. What I found most difficult about the whole day in general was believing that a year’s worth of plans can all come together on one day, but Katie and her team had no fear of everything being perfect, and reassured me, and as they predicted, when I turned up, not one thing was out of place, not a single detail was missed. We are still receiving compliments and great reports about the DCCC Marquee, each and every time we see anyone who came to our reception. If I could do it all over again I would not change a thing!! Thank you to Katie and all at DCCC for making my day so special xxx

Service & beyond comparison
We held our wedding reception at the stunning Marquee last year. As a professional within the wedding industry I have worked at dozens of wedding venues, and not one of them can compare to the experience my wife and I received from Katie and the team at Derbyshire County Cricket Club. Katie was SO helpful in the months and weeks leading up to our big day; nothing was too much trouble. The Marquee looked amazing, all of our guests commented on how pretty it was. It’s a good size too, and flexible. We only had around 70 guests to our daytime reception, so we were able to split the Marquee in two, allowing the team and the DJ to set up for our evening reception in the other half of the Marquee, which was then opened up when the evening guests arrived. The food was divine. Having a complete professional kitchen attached to the Marquee meant that we weren’t limited in terms of choice – we could have almost anything we wanted, and it was all fantastic quality. There were plenty of locations for photographs to be taken around the ground, we have some stunning images from the day. On top of that we also got to play cricket on the outfield, which our guests loved! All in all, a perfect venue for a magical day – highly recommended! Thank you to Katie, Abbie and everyone else involved!
