Cranleigh Golf & Country Club is set in 200 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside, only 15 minutes from Guildford town centre.
Established in 1985, the club recently completed a £3.5 million refurbishment project and re-opened its doors in June 2009 – to great praise from the local community. Today, the club can truly boast some of the finest Country Club facilities in the South East of England.
At the heart of the club is the Sussex Barn, a beautiful wooden beamed 17th century barn that’s been tastefully restored but also added to with a contemporary design twist. Previously a popular wedding venue, the refurbishment has greatly enhanced the inside of this unique character building.
Set just off the Sussex Barn, via the Snug bar, is the Barhatch Marquee. This new addition to the Cranleigh facilities can seat up to 140 guests and is a terrific ‘blank canvass’ for wedding parties to add their own design touches. Furthermore, the marquee opens up onto the patio area, offering a real ‘al fresco’ feel for a summer wedding.
The team of Chef’s assembled by the club have developed a wide range of wedding breakfast, buffet and canapé menus - each dish designed to excite the taste buds. And the bar offers all the usual drink options as well as a good selection of hand picked wines from around the world and champagnes from the famous region of France.
A team of Event Coordinators are on-hand to guide every wedding couple through the daunting prospect of organising their big event. From the initial enquiry through to the completion of the actual day, the same Coordinator will be available - constantly advising and supporting the organising couple.
The Retreat Spa is an additional facility that wedding couples are free to make use of. Stylishly appointed, these treatment rooms offer an extensive selection of massages and beauty treatments. ESPA is the core product that the Retreat uses, in addition to Jessica for nail treatments and Fake Bake for the guaranteed tan. Whether it’s a hen party with style before the day, or the final beauty treatments on the day itself, the Retreat Spa is ideal.
The club also offers wedding couples use of the state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and spa pool.
Interested parties are welcome to call the club direct to organise a tour of the facilities and to meet their wedding coordinator. Alternatively, the clubhouse is open to non-members to come and enjoy a bite to eat at their leisure. Sunday luncheons are also run every week, although booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
