At Cooling Castle Barns we are renowned for ensuring that each and every wedding is special. With only one function per day, we can ensure that the Bride and Groom receive our undivided attention and have a day that they will never forget. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and if unusual requests are made we rise to the challenge. We have three barns, The Heritage Barn for the reception of guests, The Fathom Barn for the Marriage Ceremony and The Tithe Barn for the Wedding Breakfast. The Barns can be decorated to match different colour schemes/themes and individual budgets. Our grounds are superbly maintained in order that our guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility of our rural location. Combine the romance of the occasion, the dignity of the Ceremony, the stunning atmosphere of such a fabulous location, together with the welcoming attentiveness of our staff and you cannot fail to experience the Wedding of Your Dreams.

Summary information

At Cooling Castle Barn we are licensed to hold marriage ceremonies. The ceremony can take place in either the atmospheric Fathom Barn on the candle lit dais or in our pavilion which is situated in our landscaped gardens. Our waitresses will serve pre-reception drinks to guests prior to the meal. Surrounding the patio is a vast lawn for children to play on, or photographers to use for those very important wedding pictures. Of course, no occasion is complete without music. We employ a top quality D.J. to provide evening entertainment. Alternatively, a live band of your choice can be accommodated; for example a string quartet, harpists or solo singers. The Heritage Barn is our newest and most contemporary barn. It overlooks the garden and has a light and airy Mediterranean flavour. It is generally the meeting point for guests prior to a wedding ceremony or on arrival from a church wedding. The Fathom Barn is smaller and more intimate. In the grandeur of this barn, civil wedding ceremonies are performed. The 'grand entrance' of the bride-to-be is from a minstrel’s gallery, over looking the room, down a wooden staircase! Built in the 17th century, The Great Barn has been sympathetically renovated; it is the largest of our three barns; and with its individual character, historical architecture and outstanding beauty, it's ideal for a wedding.

      Absolutely Breathtaking
      We really did pick the best venue but never dreamed we’d receive the kind of service we had from all the staff at Cooling Castle Barn. Nothing was ever too much trouble & everyone made us feel so special all the time. I can honestly say that to us, it seemed as if our wedding was the only one & the dedication of all was outstanding!! We were extremely impressed with the organisation & the interactive wedding planner was superb! Never did we feel as though something would be missed or forgotten! We really feel as though everyone at Cooling Castle Barn was on hand all of the time & it really is lovely to not have to panic about a single thing! On the day the venue looked beautiful, absolutely breathtaking. The staff where polite, friendly & extremely well presented. The food was sensational & overall we had the best day, everything we could have wished for & more! We would thoroughly recommend Cooling to anyone & we hope in the not too distant future we may return……as guests!! It was such an amazing day & we are now left with memories that we will treasure forever!

      A Faultless & Incredible Day
      Our day at Cooling Castle Barn was a faultless and incredible day. The attention to detail and organisation was brilliant, not only on the day, but also in the preparations. We were made to feel like our wedding was unique with the enthusiasm and courtesy shown by all staff. Many guests said it was the best wedding they had ever attended.

      The team work and organisation at Cooling Castle Barn is brilliant. They helped us both feel calm and relaxed throughout the day. The Toastmaster was so helpful and professional. Our Duty Manager on the day was excellent and helped me feel calm as were all the catering and bar staff.

      Everything Was Perfect
      We had the most amazing time, everything was perfect & many of our friends & family said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.       Fantastic Staff
      All the staff on the day where fantastic - they were so friendly and accommodated all our needs. Our Duty Manager managed everything very professionally, and helped to calm our nerves! The food was lovely, everyone really enjoyed the meal & buffet. We hope to return to Cooling Castle soon for someone else's wedding.

      A Day We Will Treasure Forever
      Cooling Castle Barn provided a brilliant service to us not only on our wedding day but throughout the whole process. The Duty Manager and Toastmaster were absolutely brilliant, so professional, so kind and made me (the bride) feel truly like a princess from the start of the day to the end. Our Duty Manager was excellent, so helpful with any questions I or anyone had. The Toastmaster was just as good, so organised and calm but also funny (which we loved as it just all added to the day). The barns are kept so well as is the grounds of Cooling. The bedrooms were amazing. From start to finish it was amazing it’s a day Lewis and I will treasure forever.

      Cooling Castle Barn is a exceptional wedding venue
      From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a glass of champagne and canapés until the moment we went to bed they made us feel like royalty. The help and support in the run up to the day was outstanding. Our guests and ourselves were blown away with the Tithe Barn and its decor. The food was amazing and we are very grateful they allowed us to adapt our own menu. The evening DJ provided in our package was top class and had everyone on the dance floor. Cooling Castle Barn is an exceptional Wedding venue and we would strongly recommend to anyone. Our Wedding was everything we ever dreamed of. We hope to visit again soon.

      We would just like to reiterate once again what a fantastic venue Cooling is and how professional and friendly the staff are. We found the whole booking process extremely easy and every query was answered quickly and efficiently. The wedding day itself was perfect and the duty managers were outstanding. The ceremony itself was wonderful, having been able to tailor it to our own requirements and obviously the registrars conducted the ceremony perfectly. The toastmaster was outstanding and kept the whole day running smoothly. The garden at Cooling is so pretty for photographs and there is absolutley nothing we can fault. We thought the final touch of a bottle of champagne and cheese and biscuits in our room was ideal and gave us time to reflect on the day. Many of our guests commented on the venue and we had lots of comments about it being the best wedding they had attended. We had an absolutely amazing day and please pass on our thanks to everyone involved.
