The perfect venue for a perfect day
We got married at Cockliffe House Hotel on 29th December 2011 and could not have been more pleased with our venue choice. The building is beautiful and whilst still able to accomodate a relatively large guest list (we had approx 70 day and 120 at night) it retains an intimate and personal feel. The staff were exceptional and could not have done enough to ensure that our day went as planned and that we felt very special. The bar service was very efficient (very important given the rate at which many of our guests can drink) and the food was excellent, served efficiently and hot even to the guests served last. The fact that you have exclusive use of the hotel giving you the opportunity to have up to 20 guests stay over in beautiful individually styled rooms with excellent facilities was a real bonus. If you are looking for a beautiful, intimate, cosy venue with excellent staff you could not do better than to choose Cockliffe for your special day.

Fantastic!
This was the perfect venue for our intimate reception. The food was to die for and the service was exceptional. Their wedding planner Sue responded to all enquiries quickly, was very organised and thought ahead on the day and considered things I hadn't even asked her to do to make it run more smoothly. There was some lovely touches like different plates and presentation for the top table to make you feel even more special. Wish I could do it all again! Highly recommended. Peter

Our Wedding Aug 2011
This is a great venue with lots of character and charm set in nice grounds. Very accomodating staff and good food. Certanly felt looked after and had a great day.

Perfect Intimate Autumn Wedding
We chose Cockliffe because of it's individual style and intimate feel, which was perfect for our small (50 guests) wedding. The planning was efficient and smooth, managed by the very able and friendly Sue who accomodated all requests! The addition of a marquee at the rear of the hotel was a huge benefit for us and meant we had lots of room for dancing for our evening guests. The day itself was so well managed. Everything ran to time and rooms were changed over from ceremony to wedding breakfast in the blink of an eye. Tables were decorated perfectly and the whole venue was just as I had planned. All our guests had a lovely day and even the October weather was perfect and sunny for drinks in the Garden. Our guests staying overnight in the property all loved their individually styled rooms, which were great value. Breakfast in the morning was a brilliant end to the weekend, all served in one room where we could all chat around the table. If you want an intimate wedding with personal service, I can't recommend Cockliffe House more highly.

The best venue we could have chosen!
Sue and the team made our day the best day and everything I hoped for. We booked and arranged everything in less than four months and no questions were too much for Sue, and they even sourced the champagne (from South Africa and locally to us) and wine that we wanted to help make the day more special in the little ways we wanted. The food was AMAZING and everyone said the best they had had at a wedding and the service was impeccable. The only thing I would change, is I wished we had had more hours in the day to soak it all up. The grounds are lovely and the recommendations for photos and flowers topped it off. Thank you to you all for everything and being so easy to work with and felt like had friends!

Perfect
Very happy with the service received and love Cockliffe house. It was perfect for us very chilled and just what we wanted so thank you very much! Sue built instant rapport with us and new how to deal with the planning process based on our personalities. Recommend it to anybody. Food was amazing and the grounds and house itself are stunning. The staff even sewed my dress up when it ripped, couldn't ask for more.

Fantastic wedding weekend
Our wedding on the 1st July 2011 at the Cockliffe Country House Hotel was absolutely fantastic. The staff are extremely helpful and all of our guests absolutely loved the venue. We stayed the whole weekend with our close wedding party, and had a very memorable time. To top it off the weather was glorious too! Couldn't have wished for more. The hotel rooms are great and the grounds are wonderful. Thank you for making our day so special.

Outstanding!! The perfect venue!
We got married here in October 2010 and it was amazing!! The venue is absolutely beautiful and we really could not have asked for more. The staff were brilliant and so many of our guests have commented on the fact that they did such a wonderful job. The food was AMAZING; the best wedding food we have ever had, everyone was blown away with it, both the wedding breakfast & at the evening buffet. The whole day was all held together by Sue, their amazing wedding co-ordinator, she was brilliant throughout & it was a delight to plan the wedding alongside her. Everything was outstanding and there is nothing that could be improved about this venue. A perfect wedding!

Excellent food, rooms and service,
We had 17 people staying for a wedding weekend, so pretty much filled the hotel. Organisation at Cockliffe is excellent and the food delicious. Rooms are very comfortable with all amenities. Children well catered for. We can't wait for the next occasion when we will be back en masse. No complaints whatsoever.
