Chippenham Park is a beautiful setting for a wedding and is located in the picturesque village of Chippenham on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border.
The venue is available for the first time in 2011 for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Chippenham Park is an early 18th century, Grade II-listed private Country House set in 300 acres of charming parkland and landscaped gardens. The impressive approach to the house is up a long private drive flanked by elegant tulip trees and large limes.
It is licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships in four locations for 12 to 85 guests, including a rose-covered summerhouse overlooking the lake. For those that wish to marry in church, St Margaret's Church, Chippenham is just a short walk away.
The drinks reception is held in the Old Ballroom or Tharp Hall in the house, or on the rose-lined South Terrace. The wedding breakfast takes place in the marquee overlooking the magnificent lake. The marquee commands wonderful views across the lake through clear window walls on two sides and can seat up to 200, with more capacity for the evening party. A raised deck with tables and seating outside, accessed by double French doors, offers guests a tranquil area with some extensive views over the lake and grounds.
Famous for its fine gardens, Chippenham Park offers the opportunity for spectacular photographs.
The venue epitomises the traditional, charming English country house wedding, yet is welcoming and relaxed.
