Chilford Hall is one of the oldest and most established vineyards in the East of England. Situated just outside Cambridge and set within 40 acres of rolling countryside, Chilford Hall is the perfect out of town wedding venue.
Chilford Hall has enjoyed great success as a highly regarded wedding venue but in June 2012 its listed barns were razed to the ground by fire. The tragedy left Chilford Hall temporarily without its largest permanent buildings although thankfully the Bistro, Winery and Vineyard were left intact. The great news, both for us and for those weddings already booked in 2013, is that we can now announce our new semi-permanent, purpose-made marquee available for year-round use.
Forget any images you might have of a traditional marquee with flapping sides and uneven flooring. The new Garden Rooms comprise two distinct but joined spaces that have everything you'd expect of a professional wedding venue. The first space provides the perfect reception room for drinks and meeting your guests this room flows into the main function room complete with dance floor, while the bar is available from both spaces.
The structure has solid, fully lined sides, a glass frontage and entrances onto a landscaped area of lawns, decking, flower beds and plenty of outdoor bistro seating for when the weather is fine. A decked bridal path links the Garden Rooms to our permanent oak gazebo which is licensed for Weddings, Civil Partnerships, and Renewal of vows ceremonies.
The practicalities are also taken care of; facilities such as the cloakroom, bar, toilets and kitchen are all integral. The carpeted floor is solid and perfect for dancing, there is lighting, a PA system as well as heating and air-conditioning. We have designed exactly what we thought would suit our Brides and Grooms best, so that is what we did!
Chilford Hall provides the complete wedding service from initial planning through to the finishing touches. No matter how formal or informal, we can cater for any style and size of wedding up to a maximum of 250 guests, reception style.
