A grand Scottish baronial castle dating from the 16th-century, Castle Fraser is located in the valley of the River Don, 16 miles west of Aberdeen.
Set in acres of beautiful gardens and open woodland, Castle Fraser is not only one of the grandest of Scotland's castles – a potent statement of riches and power – but also a romantic château of charm and grace.
The Great Hall, with its simple cream plastered walls, exposed stonework, huge open fireplace and tall south-facing windows, provides a splendid setting for civil, religious or humanist ceremonies for up to 100 guests and impressive banquets for up to 70. The Library can also seat 70 guests for a ceremony.
Outside in the castle’s delightful grounds, the turreted majesty of the exterior provides a spectacular backdrop for large marquee events or relaxed receptions in the walled garden.
